They would erase his name from every temple, and record. They wouldnt allow knowledge to spread that they were defeated by a foreign God in their own lands. They did find their soldiers and chariots at the bottom of the red sea I think, though.

Biblical scholars who researched into the reign of Pharoahs and weigh it to biblical account have found strong evidence that the Pharoah of the Exodus is Amenhotep II whose father Thumoses reigned for more than 40 Years (Moses exiled in Saudi Arabia) till his death. Pharoah Amenhotep II his 1st born was a young and proud warrior King who made many conquests. He was not succeeded by his 1st born who died in the last plague. In the aftermath of Exodus in the 18th Century Kingdom, Egypt declined immensely in economic and military power.

Not one mention anywhere in any Egyptian hieroglyphics about Moses, or about the 10 plagues, or even about God's genocidal murder of all first male born was in fact the story of a baby cast down in the river to be saved and raised by a princess came from Sargon of Aklad about 2300 BC.
