I used to watch this on vhs with my siblings in the 80's.This is one of my favorite parts in the movie. It always moves me to see how Jesus strokes the blind man's head ( 6:11). I thought it was interesting how the blind man said 'Leave my eyes alone. I don't want you to touch my eyes, you are hurting me'. It kind of sounded like he wanted to live in darkness (physical darkness is what I am referring to) because that is all he knew, but when he truly saw it was completely amazing and would never go back to his old life. It's kind of like that with sin. We want to stay in spiritual darkness because we are sinful and it's all we know, until we accept what Christ is trying to tell and show us. After that why would we want to go back to the awfulness and darkness of sin?

what fine acting i had to constantly remind myself that these were actors portraying a scene in the bible, they did a great job with the blind man and the man with CP.
I am extremely grateful for how much God has blessed me in providing me with everything I need to live a good life and helping me to solve my problems and better yet to make good out of them. He has healed me in every area of my life and supports me. Even when I was sinning really bad he still helped and healed me. I got sick of my sins affecting me and others, and God so I repented and became a better person. Now I'm even more blessed. Knowing about millions of people who he's blessed and been so good too gives me so much hope. He deserves our serving him and worshipping him and having a relationship with.
Little story about Robert Powell here. He is a family friend, my late nan was great friends with his wife Babs.. He was agnostic leading into Zefferelli offering him the part of Christ. He was never made Christian by the film but he did say that he felt a great presence in the making of the series.. Robert is a thoroughly lovely man.. My faith is strengthened in recent years... i hope that jesus knows my true heart xx

I am extremely grateful for how much God has blessed me in providing me with everything I need to live a good life and helping me to solve my problems and better yet to make good out of them. He has healed me in every area of my life and supports me. Even when I was sinning really bad he still helped and healed me. I got sick of my sins affecting me and others, and God so I repented and became a better person. Now I'm even more blessed. Knowing about millions of people who he's blessed and been so good too gives me so much hope. He deserves our serving him and worshipping him and having a relationship with.

I'm glad that my eyes are finally opened after all these years (spiritually).. i'm also grateful that i was born healthy. people, including myself, take our healthy bodies for granted but they were given to us by God. Even if you are not healthy, i'm sure there's reasons for that as well. There's so much to be grateful for. I love it.
