Thanks for doing this series - was fantastic to watch! We hope to make more experiences like this, and would love if we inspired other creators to try and pull off bigger feature-rich experiences for the VC program. For anyone concerned with bugs - all of the issues you ran into (that aren't vanilla game problems) are now patched and fixed in patch 1.0.2, which just launched this week! Oh and RE: the chant Ah/Bah/Krah books - if you read them again, it will reset them so you can try designing new chants.
This entire playthrough has been a joy to watch. Olvus was an absolute delight to perform and as much as I can speak on behalf of the rest of the team, thank you for spotlighting the mod!
Just an extra tip (iv not finished the video yet so may get addressed) you can actually use all three words of power for the shout in question for each stage of the chant, so basically full unrelenting force, full whirlwind sprint, full earth shout, not just the first word. way stronger and the rod resets it no problem
iv done this with the chant of breaths, with each of the shouts having their own resonance gem and the final shout has really good damage as it seems to combine the effects and you get a second unrelenting echo effect on the final shout. they can barely move while you do it haha
@@Leto85I got the best ending and then approached her wearing an amulet of Mara (after speaking with the priests in Riften). She reacted to the amulet and the dialogue option became available.
okay the kill everyone ending made me REALLY sad. I'm glad that the best ending is 'canon' to your playthrough lmao what a fantastic mod to watch. tight on cash but watching you play this makes me want to get it for myself. it seems like it's fully worth the cost if not more than !
I had thought of holding off on the mod until this review was out, but decided to take the leap a couple of weeks ago and I'm glad I did! I'm just coming up on the chanting lesson, but even at this point BCE has been a great spark for a new playthrough. It's still cool to get the overall impression here, and I know there's still a bunch for me to look forward to and discover. I'll be checking out the videos I skipped (and the other endings) as I play further. This is the first paid mod I've gotten, and I agree that it would be great to see other creations follow this example.
Im interested in this mod but i got one question, do you have to be dragonborn for this questline? like i wanna do this without the shouts as i play non-dragonborns
@@TheZomboy11 The main questline for it is tied to being Dragonborn. But there's still the instrument playing, ballads based on other questlines, Duels of Wit, and Emissary quests. The latter two of those each have their own progression.
Helvana can be married I saw in an official developers video about this mod. You have to use all the kind dialogue with her is what I've heard. Probably also agreeing with using her good ending. How to marry her from there on I don't know.
I doubt they will, Kinggath even said they probably won't because it requires them to write songs and record them and etc. Lot of work. But it would also be cool if you could get songs based on mods. Like Vigilant, Beyond Reach, etc.
@@enragedbard Agreed, on all counts :) I was surprised at the number of ballads available. What I was referring to, though, was the emissary system... heartening/flamboyant/dramatic/intriguing. The truce felt like a great way to apply that one... I don't think there's music involved, at least not necessarily.
2 things: It would've been better if you could also find books with the Bard retorts, maybe in the Winterhold College Library or around Skyrim for us adventurers. Making Olvus an Orc was odd. I think it would've fit better if he were a Nord.
Does anyone know how much this paid creation clashes with students of song? It’s always in my modlist and I want to know if buying this creation is going to cause me problems, I’m on Xbox so I know patches aren’t available right now

I'd love to see more from your team for Skyrim. I love EEE and BCE!
Not sure how else to contact you so I'll leave a reply here. I'm thinking some sort of hunter's expansion would be worth a try.
Watching this mod play out is the main reason why I am going to update my skyrim after years of updates

Just in case you did not find it, you CAN marry Helvana, and you are named the new Arch-bard at some point! (If you accept...)
Damn, I did not. I'll have to go back and see if I can find it
How exactly do you marry her? I know you have to use the kind dialogues with her, but what are the other requirements?
@@Leto85I got the best ending and then approached her wearing an amulet of Mara (after speaking with the priests in Riften). She reacted to the amulet and the dialogue option became available.
@@cesmark5721I assumed that's how it worked but didn't know for sure. Thanks!
@@Leto85 The same way you marry vanilla NPCs - have to wear an Amulet of Mara and speak to her.
WOW! This is a great review - I'm seriously thinking of picking up this mod now!
Yes, I am as well. Just need reinstall Skyrim and my base mods( just ones that make it look prettier)

Imagine Olvus' reaction to the kill everyone route.
"Oh.. well, I'll miss Sledrig, but... thanks for sharing this story with me?" -Olvus probably
@@0periodproductions ah but you also killed Helvana
that "you're not the first" at 14:00 was **cold**
Very nicely done. Thank you for this showcase of the mod! Looking forward to your next video series!!
Great coverage of the mod, mate! Many thanks

Gonna need to have a continuation to the evil sledrig path. He's the antagonist and you have to stop him.
If you use the chant books again it resets them to blank for redoing
I think you forgot to complete the final emissary quest that takes place just outside the blue palace once to accept the mission.
Didn't realize there was one, I'll have to go take a look

I'm guessing I might need to wait a few more days in game, I'll load up my save and try to figure it out
IF Bethesda released like a second Anniversary Edition of Skyrim and it included this I wouldn't be against it.
The Anniversary Anniversary edition.
Sledrig's got that Dragon Domination now
that was such a blast! the single best mod ever produced to bethesda! just below dragonborn and dawnguard
Honestly, I just want to know every single Resonating Thu’um Effect. And to see if Sanctum’s Resonance can have a resonating Crystal attuned to it.
yup it can. its a simple buff stopping being hit from interupting the shout so that it can be used to escape combat
@@BrianMichaluk Isn't there one shout that doesn't have a resonating effect?
So, now that volg is restored? Think he will visit the burning of king olaf and get a sweet and some spiced wine?
🥺 sorry it's come to and end.
Potentially first
looks like would be a fun mod to put on my evil queen list
It'd be cool to see the emissary system applied throughout the game, like the civil war truce.

what is the song now after you endmall
what mod is the sword at 14:00 from?
The same mod. 🙂
the multishout thing seems clunky
