Cheers mate, needed access for another issue and did it right away when I seen only 2 screws to open the top instead of waiting till tomorrow. Job done and back together within a couple of minutes.
Thanks for sharing, I repaired the drain pump of my eziset500 by referring to this video, the dirty clog stopped, and it was back to normal after I removed it and cleaned it. After watching this video, I realized that it is easier to dismantle the drain pump when it is turned down.
This is great man. Much better to repair than throw out a perfectly good washer.. I was also quoted approx. $260 to repair it which is 50% the cost of the washer.. will give it a go.
Thanks for the video. Was able to tilt the machine over, and access the flexi hose connected to the drain pump filter, removing over $4 in loose change...
Nice video. We never, ever deal with Simpson's here in the US, so seeing a machine that has a rear entry teardown is... unique to say the least. How does their quality compare to an LG or Samsung machine?
Thank you for watching, glad you liked the video. LG in Australia are very good quality, nearly as good as the German made Bosch. But Samsung’s have a lot of problems. Control board failures and drum spider/bearing problems are too common. Quality wise, Simpson is somewhere in between LG and Samsung.
@@ApplianceFault thanks for the info. Its the same way here in the US. At the moment, LG is probably the best of big box units, and Samsung is the worst.

Awesome, thanks dude. Couldn't find a service manual on my swf1083 and this did the trick to get the motor out to replace bushes. Cheers

I saw two different views of how to access the pump and no points on any fix the pump problem if there was a problem
How about a Simpson toploader with a pump that appears to be gradually dissolving, fragments of the casting (impellor?) coming out of the drain.
How to solve the error code 83 in Bosch washing machine front load
