- Yes, I took some clips of the simpson while I was testing it. I didn't film when it broke, but I thought I'd upload these videos anyways. The five faults were chipped agitator, leaking transmission, broken clutch, rips in the belt, and leaking water valve. Also, stay tuned, because I might get my whirlpool DD working by tomorrow.
That is one sick machine.
Had one of these after our 30 year old simpson broke, this one only lasted 3 years. After that got a whirlpool front loader which is now 12 years old and won't die. I also have a 40 year old simpson that I bought off gumtree and have restored it. It's now more balanced than the whirlpool!
Simpson, generally speaking, is a really great brand to me, and I really enjoy working on them whenever I get the chance, regardless of whether they run or not. I still have yet to come across a Simpson that’s as old as the one you have, but yeah, they’re a great brand to me that’s for sure.
@@grnappliance7297 the one I have is is about a 1975-1977 model I'm not 100%. But it works so amazingly
Shame it didn’t work but things don’t last forever especially these days.
I knew someone that had this exact machine and someone who own the newer belt less model with auto fill and eco rinse and wash choice options. Both nice machines. My favourite was probably the 9.5kg with time remaining display or the 8kg eziset.
you can tell its on the verge of death, just look at that rinsing spin
Bearing?
I have actually got one of these machines coming at some point. Unsure what year it’s from though.
@@ryderearlesroblox8620 I don’t take filming requests, also the machine was behind my repair.
@@ryderearlesroblox8620 I don’t have the Machine anymore as it was beyond my repair so I wound up stripping it instead and I will reinstate the F&P videos when I have time.
