  • A step by step guide as to how this simple mixed media art canvas is created using napkin, distress inks and modelling paste.
Here are the materials I used but you don't need these specific items to create your own beautiful version of this - use whatever similar items you have already. If you're like me you'll have lots of craft stash in your supplies so if you don't have white gesso use white acrylic paint, if you don't have the uni-ball signo try any white gel pen you have, and be creative with your colours - use the ones that you are drawn to! I just used what I had to hand on the day:
7" x 5" canvas board (I got mine from Hobby Craft in the UK)
    Tim Holtz Flourish stencil
Napkin came from Helens Home Wares on ebay www.ebay.co.uk...
Modelling Paste (I used Windsor & Newton Galleria brand available in Hobby Craft and The Range in the UK but any modelling paste will do)
Distress Ink spray stains and ink pads in Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac and Peacock Feathers
Distress Mica Spray in Brushed Pewter
White Gesso (again I used Windsor and Newton Galleria brand)
Derwent Inktense Pencils (Sea Blue and Deep Indigo)
    Uni-ball Signo white pen
VersaFine Clair pigment ink for stamping the sentiment (warm breeze)
Sentiment stamp came from the Butterfly Effect stamp set by Visible Image
