- Today I am showcasing my ultimate modded Wii U console that can play almost any game! It can play ANY* game from NES, SNES, N64*, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, GameBoy (Original, Color, and Advance), DS*, SEGA (Genesis, Game Gear, Mega CD, MasterSystem), PlayStation 1*, PSP*, and other consoles in RetroArch (Atari, ColecoVision, etc.).

It always annoys me a bit when youtubers say that the Wii U can run PSP - it can't - the project was basically abandoned early in its life. The dev had Ridge racer running in a somewhat playable state - and you can run a couple of 2D side on games like street fighter.. but as your video shows..most games are unplayable. Getting 7fps in sackboy doesn't mean anything.. it's a waste of time
Damn bro you’re really passionate about that 😂 I don’t disagree at all the the PSP emu runs like hell but maybe it’ll be useful to someone out there, I tried to make it clear that it doesn’t work well, it isn’t meant to be a big selling point

Yeah I am a bit annoyed with the whole situation on the Wii U really - the scene has been stagnant on the console since 2018. There is scope for PSP to run and for more recent MAME cores to run - or games like Killer instinct arcade but no one is stepping up and filling in those gaps - or taking the time to get those emulators working on Wii U. Its mainly because the Power pc cpu on the Wii U is kind of garbage and x86 systems like android phones or PCs can run all the stuff easily..so whats the point. Sorry to be negative but the Wii U emulation scene could be better. Its fine running Gamecube, snes and a bit of mame on retroarch - and its a worthwhile system to hack/mod
@@matthewsalmon8194 Totally agree, it makes me sad knowing there's a LOT of untapped potential inside the Wii U that we will probably never live to see. I understand why it wasn't super popular when it released, definitely some questionable marketing, but I don't get why it seems to be equally as unpopular with the homebrew community as there's so much the Wii U can do that no other console can or probably ever will be able to. My biggest sell point is the ability to play DS games perfectly on the big screen. To me, that alone is enough reason to get one and for it to be interesting. I totally understand the negativity haha its well warranted. However, despite all the neglect it gets I'll show this baby love to the grave. Favorite Nintendo console to the end haha
@@TrudesTTV Enjoy. Yeah they missed a trick by not including a DS cartridge slot on the Wii U - that could have saved the console! Ive set up 3DS (Citra) on PC recently and its good to go back to that library. The Wii U is great for Nintendo console emulation for sure
PSP games are better off being played on a phone or laptop/pc...playing it on Wii U is not really that great. (Considering a person gets a reasonable 300GB External Hard Drive, the space can be better off used on Wii U, Wii, and GameCube game storage.) When it comes to stuff like this, I ask myself "Can this game be played on another device that I own?" (A PS4 Controller can smooth out the controls, plus it's Playstation, so it fits right in.) (Anyone wondering if a 300GB External Hard Drive is good for a Wii U, I say that it's perfect. (I managed to play a game of "What are my top 5 games of every year that the Wii U had games, and i went from 2012-2017 (BTOW being the only game of 2017). I was still left with space to put some Wii games that never made to to US Markets like Project Zero 2 (Fatal Frame) Wii Edtion, Mario Galaxy, Trauma Center, Matroid Prime Tri/Other M, Zelda Skyward Sword. (Trust me, a 300GB should do fine.) Also a 128GB on your 3DS would do fine too (Homebrew of course) just do a Top 5-6 (Decorating with Badges) from 2011-2019. And you are still left with space for DS, GBA. Gb, GBC, you're good.

Are your reto game in the Wii menu or the Wii U menu?
I had mine in the Wii U menu but the games froze the console, i could only install the WiiU games and the Game Cube in the Wii U menu

Unfortunately not, the full potential of PSP emulation was never even close to fully realized with the Wii U. It’s technically possible but the odds of any developer coming back to this project are slim to none. If you wanna play PSP games your best bet is either to actually get one and then mod it or emulate it on PC

So with the controller support it has to be an official Wii U pro controller or does it not matter if it’s 3rd party?
It matters invest in a pro controller. 3rd party doesn't get recognized by the emulators
How did you get Loadiine to have an icon that says Nintendo DS? Do you have a link to the download for that?
I used a program called Wii U title boot editor, there should be some guides out there!

damn i always want to buy a nintendo console but each just have around 10 games that interest me. i thought now with the switch there are enough but holy cow every switch game except ultimate and odyssey is also on the wii uplus it can play wii games plus wii u games plus even gamecube games and plus JUST EVERY SINGLE NINTENDO CONSOLE
AND even looks better and is cheaper

Hey! I'm modding my own wii u right now, and wondering how many storage devices you used/what type of games each storage device held? Currently I have an external HDD and a 32 gb SD card, and am wondering if I should get another one just for wii games (since wii u and wii cant use the same external at least to my knowledge)
You got it exactly. I use an external HDD for the Wii & GameCube games, a separate flash drive for Wii U games, and then everything else is on the SD card, so 3 extra storage devices total
@@TrudesTTV Not really. You can also just inject all Wii games in the Wii U menu and store them in your already existing HDD where all of your Wii U games are. The only downside is that you have to make the injects (which isn't hard) and the games won't be accessible through the vWii menu, but from the Wii U menu.
@@TrudesTTV Also Trudes, if you store ur Gamecube games in the HDD then you're accessing them through Nintendont, right? I'd recommend you just inject them into the Wii U menu. They'd look way nicer each with their own image, boot audios and easy access, all nice in a folder.
@@zmatt25 I tried doing this but it’s basically impossible to do with a macbook air 😅 so I gave up and am just considering to do the vwii method…
If your buying an external hard drive make sure to get a USB splitter because the wii u doesn’t supply enough power to power an external drive from just one usb port
Is all of this one external storage unit? Or did it require at least 2?
This way he needs two storage devices. But if you inject them onto the homescreen then you can use one single storage device.

How do you put more cores on retroarch, like dolphin?
Why would you like to put dolphin on your WiiU? Is like playing a NES emulator on a NES, maybe other cores for older consoles "may" work.
The Wii U already runs Wii and GameCube games natively, why tf would you put Dolphin on a Wii U
Cool. You know you could add the boxart for Fceugx and snes9xgx? I have those for my Wii and it really adds a nice touch, aslo for vbagx. I have a couple Wii U's, I may tackle trying to set one of them up with all of this. I like how you have the different n64 emulators, and you have box art for those which I dont. If its above my head, I may send in or buy one from ya. Thanks for the showcase and inspiration!
I’m glad you enjoyed and thank you for the feedback! It’s funny you say that box art for emus is something on my list that I plan to eventually work into all the consoles I prepare. Definitely took a little bit of learning and trial and error to get it setup like this but it was definitely worth it, definitely hit me up on discord if you ever need anything!

where to download the gamecube and ds channel?
the GameCube channel is just Nintendont, he edited the name and image with WiiU Boot Editor.
this means that you can just install Nintendont Forwarder to have that Channel and u can also edit it's image and font if you want.
The DS Channel is modified too and it's Loadiine.

Guys, I have come to ask you for urgent help, since it is an exclusive game from Japan, which is *Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3* and I am trying to save the games on the story mode, and it even already has the (Memory Card Emulation) activated. . But not even with that does he manage to save the game, and it's a problem that I still don't understand why it happens, if someone knows how to solve this, I'll be very grateful brothers. 🙏😟😃

How is compatability on N64 games though? I have yet to find an emulator that can properly run the entire library of games. Someone needs to figure out how to make an ultimate N64 emulator so you don't need 3 emulators to maybe get 25 percent of the games working.
Just inject them to play them directly from the menu with the gamepad. But there is only a handful n64 game which work. There is a compatibility list available.

It'll work on both the black and white consoles. I have the black console and jailbroke it

When you’re emulating a game, it’s a lot more intensive on the hardware than if it was native. The Wii U simply couldn’t run 3DS games at full speed emulating them.

20:59 It really annoys me when they put an American flag next to English. It should be the English flag, or at least the Union Jack. They don't put a Mexican flag next to Spanish or a Brazilian flag next to Portuguese but for some reason, they don't use the English flag for English. It's probably so dumb Americans don't get confused about which language to pick

Gamecube games aren't emulating. They work natively if you have Nintendont of course

Man there are so many videos like this about the WIi U that are just so misleading. First of all short and sweet if you arn't trying to play Wii U, Wii, or Gamecube games ONLY then do not bother with the Wii U. Emulation on the Wii U even via the most recent injection methods is still a far cry from what I would consider playable, meaning the emulation on the console is hot garbage at best. If you are considering this maybe consider the original Wii instead as it actually has decent emulation that can handle anything up to and including SNES.
its completely fine for emulation. Only N64 Games are going to be buggy except for a few games.
