Just found you on UA-cam and I'm now a fan. For what it's worth, I hate speed painting videos and feel they convey almost no content. In contrast, watching you paint in real time is great. Thanks.
Love how you said not everything you do has to move you forward in art, but to take the time to just enjoy it. I've spent too many years being hard on myself/hating my art, rather than just relaxing with painting for itself. Weirdly, I probably would have improved more had I done this as I rarely get out my sketchbook. I really want to change that this year, and this has helped put things in perspective. Beautiful paintings, too!
Wow, I could watch you paint forever, this is absolutely stunning, I’m getting my gouache out in the morning. One of the best art videos I’ve seen . I love how perfect the composition is. My sketchbook is absolute chaos! Your videos are so informative and just beautiful to watch. I feel a binge watch coming on!😁
This was absolutely wonderful, almost teared up watching the beautiful process and I love plants so much they’re my top fave things to paint. Can’t wait to keep practicing, your videos are really helping me continue with my passion-painting, doing any art. Thank you for sharing your talent and making serene videos like this, they’re truly inspiring.
This is beautiful! I love watching how others use gouache since I'm just learning! You make the plants and pots have so much depth. I love it thanks so much for posting :)
those little paint doodles where gorgeous and I doodled along with you. Also subscribed, love your gentle voice as you work :D (and love that it wasn't all in hyper-lapse, it's so much more relaxing)
I have just found your account and videos and they are so calming and relaxing, but also so informative. As an artist hoping to grow my career your work is so inspiring to me. All the love x
When you were talking about how it feels to just play - not concerned with achieving something GREAT or epic with each painting - this resonated! I overthink everything and often times feel guilty for not turning every paint session into something ‘meaningful’ beyond simply playing and learning. I have to constantly remind myself it’s OK. Also your paintings are gorgeous (new to your channel!)
Sarah! I've learned so much from you and your videos 🥰 thank you for watching! And I agree, it's so nice to have painting sessions where you just relax into playing with your materials and not think about reaching goals all the time- the guilt gets me too!
I love this video, thank you, so inspiring, both your art work and the reminder to have fun instead of trying to aim for a master piece which often stresses you out. I will deffo be taking a leaf out of your book ❤
Love your content, fab paintings, you're very blessed with talent. Including the names of the colours you use would be so helpful for us trying to learn to use different greens etc.
I’m just starting out with gouache. I haven’t got the hang of the correct water amount yet but love the idea of soon making my colors blend like you have. Such a beautiful sketchbook spread.
I love all things green so this (and your nails!) is extremely pleasing to me 😍 I can't physically paint anymore due to illness but maybe one day I'll be able to try gouache - it looks so creamy haha
thank you so much for watching :) so this sketchbook by etchr that I'm using in this video and the toned tan mixed media sketchbook by strathmore are my favorite for gouache! are you looking specifically for gouache?
OMFG, I literally grabbed my sketchbook cuz I'm working on a series of drawings/paintings of just the backs of feet in high heels, maybe a beautifully f=gloved hand or a string of pearls on it, and then I'm surrounding them with kimono patterns and art nouveau style patterns. That negative painting you did is literally exactly the same as one I did!!!! A bunch of different sized lily pads with that lighter star pattern in the middle, viney shapes, and then YELLOW TUBULAR FLOWERS on top! You painted over yours, but I would love it if you did it over again just to see how close your flowers would have come to mine! A beautiful pattern is a beautiful pattern and artists really do think alike sometimes!!😄😄😄
This video is so calming ❤ Last year I draw only "trending" things and guess what... I burned out. Now I returned to my favorite thing - cozy illustrations and cute characters. And I love it 😊
These all came out so cute! Might just try some myself now :D What was that tripod/light looking thing you put your phone on for filming? It looks so cool and handy!
I'm a new subscriber, really love your work and how vibrant your gouache subjects are. If you don't mind, could you share the brand of the lamp that you are using to film your overhead videos? The lighting in your videos look great!
So much green to feast my eyes on 😍 I love that you do little illustrations and paint adorable plants…bc you want to?! 😱😜 the texture in those terracotta plant pots is 👌🏻👌🏻 Mesmerising as ever…aesthetically pleasing as ever and depth is unparalleled 😘 love you so much you’re my favourite artist in the world ❤️

@@sofiapavanmacias yes, I started using gouache recently and I’ve been wondering what paper works well 😊
