Paul is cool, as a kid I raced Karts and my Dad wanted me to drive Indy cars, his friend was Tony Bettenhausen But the Viet Nam war was going on and I had a Draft card. But in memory of my Dad I still race cars just Drag Race. I'm doing good. God Speed Dad. Building a 7 second Ranger truck
They really come out swinging with Season 4, great for MT to keep them onboard. As someone who was rather busy in that time of my life seeing this episode put PT's career in perspective. Can't wait for the rest of the season as DWR is really rockin!
have watched the paul tracy episodes on motortrend+ and i am so happy that i still get my dinner with racers fix. Paul's story is so much more than what i thought watching him as a driver while i was growing up. His wonderful mom, sister, friedns, and Lisa all brought out the human that he is. Hearing about the Danica shoe incident was hilarious. Thanks so much for keeping the series alive @continentaltire this continues to be some of my favorite automotive/racing programming.
The height of Canadian Champ Car domination. Tags. Moore. Tracy. Carpentier. Tracy winning the Toronto Indy in ‘03 felt like the kid had come home. I SCOURED. The Toronto Star every Monday for race results. This same era also had Ron Fellows racing GTS and absolutely dominating. Also happens to be just after Villeneuve took the F1 championship. I watched ANY type of Motorsport if it involved Canadians. The moment you folks said Pickering… my heart lit up. I knew Paul was a Scarborough boy but you guys filmed in MY hometown of Pickering!!
Helio should do the right thing and concede the 02 500 to PT. Will never happen but it would go down as the classiest and most famous sportsmanship of all time. PT face on trophy and everything.
Interesting that Paul mentioned Pat Patrick as a top IndyCar owner who didn't show interest in him or other ARS champions, since Patrick owned the series.
Tracy won the 2002 Indy 500. He was around Castro Neves prior to Laurent Redone stacking his car up. Helio was on the radio yelling "He pass Me, He pass Me" prior to "yellow, yellow, yellow." Better yet, prior to any of this Penske was on radio telling Helio "take it easy, your out of fuel" so Castro Neves was slowing.... Tracy was hosed. On this interview, how did you skip over the year at Newman Haas? Either way, I am a long time American Open Wheel Fan and Paul was his own worst enemy for the most part.
NBC screwed up dropping him for hinch, paul is just doing whats needed in the motorsport world, playing up to the bad guy image, like Jason Plato in BTCC did.
I must really like you guys Ryan and Sean. I am not a PT fan at all. But I'm open to seeing if it's at least interesting and knowing you two it will be.
Did this interview change your opinion of Paul Tracy?

I will and always will, love me some Paul F'n Tracy!!!!!
Always a Tracy fan! Great interview
Love Paul Tracy!! Always have, always will!
Was a big PT fan back in the Champ Car years. Always worth the price of admission. Wish he was still in the booth @ NBC for the INDYCAR race.
Great show, I love the credits! I've met Tracy times and never had a problem with him. Sorry, HE WON THE 2002 INDY 500.
The podcast dinner was so entertaining, this is even better!
Stay tuned for more of these!

The only thing I remember about Mr. Tracy is he couldn't race in the rain.😂

Paul Tracy 2002 = Smokey Yunick 1960
Paul's fans will never forget that he won the 2002 Indy 500 . He was blatantly robbed

2002 Indy 500,

Destiny and Bambi showing up late. Guess they had to finish up in the champagne room.
