This deserves a part deux. And because sexuality is on a spectrum, fluid or complex (mainly, because we make it so); people who identify as straight can have experiences with persons of the same-sex and not be label as a member of the alphabet community. After all, we as humans have full agency over our bodies and what we choose to do with them as it pertains to healthy, consensual romantic involvement. So yes, a straight woman or man can and does (for some) remain “straight” after having a sexual encounter with another woman or man. Period.

Great conversation. I especially appreciated the discussion on how being queer is not inherently sexual but constantly sexualized by mainstream society, and this especially due to patriarchy and the male gaze being centered in society. My only disagreement is Dave Chapelle.
I know Tiffany acknowledged Dave Chapelle's transphobic views but as was said in the video, Black and queer are different from white queer people, who dominate queer representation and voices. Dave's trans argument only works if Black trans people aren't acknowleged, which we constantly are. Black trans and queer voices are consistently drowned out when people try to act as if queerness is only related to whiteness.
White queers can and often are just as antiBlack as their cishet counterparts but like to weaponize their queer identities to absolve themselves of that and accountability in white supremacy. Chapelle never once mentioned Black queer folks, and that's likely because he can only experience oppression from a Black man's lens. He even tried to use an ex white trans "friend" of his who had died by suicide in the same manner that white folks love to tokenize their one Black friend to excuse their racist behavior. To me it came across as tone deaf and he's clearly not in community with Black trans folks.
Just because we don't have the privilege to hide our skin color in a white supremacist structure doesn't take away from Black queer/trans people still facing homophobic and transphobic violence as we do racial violence at the same time.

This is a great conversation. I wish they had trans and gay black men. And when it comes to the Bible and queerness once Jesus came on the scene and blessed us, the new testament doesn't even talk about homosexuality. Our Savior hung out with prostitutes and lepers. He loved us all. Like the Jews who didn't believe Jesus was Jesus back then, it's a lot of so called believers who have issues with that one/main commandment, love thy neighbor.

I really enjoyed the subject matter. But to be honest with you, I couldn’t get past the younger guest, She used the word “like” at least 100 times. I’m sure it’s an unconscious tick, But I couldn’t get past it.
