Great video! Very similar to the way I make my noodles. In my state, we can only use (5) at a time per licensed fisherman, so I do a few things different because the cost isn't as much of an impact. The "star" noodles have more float to them, cost a little more and harder to find. They make wrapping the line easier too. I have found that polymer knots are easier to get "tight" using braided line. I also like to do a surgeon's knot with loop on the hook leader, then I can swap out hooks fast and easy without reties. Depending on the bait I have - I change hooks about each day of fishing. On the eye-bolt, I like to attach a snap swivel of some sort - it allows for a quick depth adjustment without having to tie or wrap anything. Different color noodles help for tracking which type of bait is on the line - helping to narrow down what the fish are feeding on. One thing I really like about your setup - the line choice. Most juggers use that giant, really stiff line that is difficult to tie and really catches current. The thin line is plenty strong, easy to tie, and doesn't catch the current as much. Sorry if I rambled too much. Happy fishing!
Thanks a ton for your input! We did learn a lesson on making hooks easier to swap out. I started doing a surgeon knot for the loop on one end and a snell on the other end, the. Loop the hook though the circle which is ran through the swivel. Hope it makes sense but sure is easier!
I’ve seen many guys and gals do that, I’ve made them both ways (counter of some sort and nothing in the pipe) and truly haven’t found any difference at all. They work extremely well regardless!
2 liter bottle some 100 lbs test line and weights and circle hooks all you need for jugs And the weights can be pretty much anything that you can tie the string to ( that’s Reasonable).
Another question! Other than identifying your noodles do they serve any purpose and would it hurt to adhere it to the noodle itself. It looks like over time it will tear off. Just a thought. We’ve been tearing them up on Beaver Lake in NW Arkansas, need mo noodles! Also is that a #6 circle hook?
Hey so I was hoping to see the Truman Lake fishing trip video, I’ve been trying to find a good way to set the depth when I’m setting my jug lines. Any advice would be very appreciated.
In Missouri you have to add your name, address, phone number, and the date that you put them out on the water. I use tape for the date so I can change it out but everything else goes on with permanent marker. Less confusion on what jug belongs to who and all. Plus it’s the law here. Can’t wait to get out there and start jugging this year. Tight lines!! 🎣
not sure if it was mentioned in another comment, but on your shopping list in the description, you forgot to add in the 10, 1/2 oz egg sinkers. not sure if you can edit your description or not. might help someone if they dont rewatch the video. i luckily rewatched so i noticed it was missing. great video and jugs nonetheless. good job man!
Great noodle bro I add a drop of super glue on all my braided line knots in case of slipping but that’s just me great video keep up the good work fish on
Yes it will. Just make sure you get the right size end caps. Also check your noodle, I bought some and the inside diameter was way to big for the pipes.
You know I’ve seen that before and saw people cut rebar to put in them. I didn’t have anything to go in a batch I made and found zero difference so I don’t anymore.
UsedBoatsTV - Used boats for sale reviews thanks for the instructions. I can’t find any tubes that have a half inch hole so I will be going with a 1 inch and half to compensate using bigger PVC and fittings. Same thing only different I suppose
Those were khale hooks, not circle hooks. You shouldn't glue all the caps first and then put them on. PVC glue dries really quick. When gluing the cap with the eye bolt onto the pipe, spread the glue on the pipe, not inside the cap that's filled with fresh silicone. If you put a snap swivel on, instead of just a plain swivel, you can make replacement hook lines with a loop on the end. Then if a hook gets straightened out, snagged, broken off or a fish swallows one, you can quickly swap the hook line and get it back in the water. Other than that it looks like you did a good job.
I see you like to Jug Fish. I want to invite you to check out KoolCats Tournaments here in Oklahoma on Facebook. We have a group called Tug N Jug and we do Jug Fishing Tournaments. Tight Line's
This is the best video I’ve watched and he does an excellent job explaining. Thank you
Thank you!
Before this video I did not know how to count to 10. Now I do!
I like the snell knot for the trigger effect. Also I don’t call those circle hooks. Great demo
i think those were octopus hooks...
Excellenet video. Very detailed.
Thank you very much!

Thank you so much, an I sure hope so!
😊
Thanks for showing me how to make the noodles.
No problem! Thank you for watching
...lol...that root beers is hell on you,,,lol good stuff
i literally use just a noodle with tarred line hook and sinker... they also work great... but damn those look nice and i think im going to do it :)
So no counter weight like 1/2” rebar is needed? Thanks for sharing

All is great but u should use a Palomar or uni knot! I do the same thing but just use gatoraid jugs 😁
Best video I’ve seen on making these.👍
Thank you so much!

Yes sir, I tried permanent marker on the foam, yeah that lasts a weekend! Started using shrink wrap tape and a market, it’s way better.
UsedBoatsTV - Used boats for sale reviews I’ll keep that in mind when building mine, thanks!

Thank you, I fixed it! Good catch!
Dude I see your posts on OFF all the time. You catch absolute monster cats. You’re a badass!
@@wes7590 haha thanks man.

If you number them 1 to 10 you know when you missing one and if in order might help to figure where it could be.
Did the rattles help you catch fish?
How much did it cost too make all those?
Where's the video to these in action ? Searched and couldn't find it.
I was wondering if this would work smaller and attached it to a rod
Yes it will. Just make sure you get the right size end caps. Also check your noodle, I bought some and the inside diameter was way to big for the pipes.
They make one already it’s called muddy river catfish bobber
You didn’t put a weight inside of the pvc tube ?
You know I’ve seen that before and saw people cut rebar to put in them. I didn’t have anything to go in a batch I made and found zero difference so I don’t anymore.
How much money per noodle do have in them?
I think it was around $3.70 a piece

I'm gonna make some. What if u only wanna let out 5ft of line? How would u tie it off so it would let all 25ft out?
I’ve seen guys put a hook, kind of like the I-bolt (on the opposite end of the pipe) and let out 5 feet, wrap around the hook and toss out.
@@thekidcansell thanks
You could also use a bobber/float/plug
How much was all the supplies
If I remember right it was about $36 for everything
I put DOT trailer tape on mine so you can see them at night

You used acrylic not silicon. Silicon will last longer than what you used. good design like it
why put the rattler things on line

Sir those are not circle hooks. Those are kahl hooks.
Those are Team Catfish Mighty Wide hooks. They are definitely a Kahle style hook not a circle hook.
Your wingspan is usually the same as your height. I'm 5'11'' and so is my wingspan.
Those are khale hooks
Sure would like some acahol but I'm underage by 1 year
Haha, I’m way overage but still chose Root Beer!
Most expensive build I've seen..
...lol...that root beers is hell on you,,,lol good stuff
Thanks!
