Enjoy the video! I know many will wonder why we would even consider Whinny adoptable - she is not bonded with Willow/Xena, they simply get along. We can do a separate video explaining the difference - let us know if you'd like to see that!

She looks absolutly stunning. You have done such a wonderful job caring for her. Sadly I live in Germany otherwise I would have adopted her straight away. I have two oldies of nearly 29 years. My heart has a soft spot for older horses even though it is a full time job taking care of them and their special needs. I also feed my horses twice a day on the slobber feed because of course their teeth have worn down with age and even though they eat hay it's not being indigested like in a younger horse so we make sure they are getting their calories through other ways of feeding. Once an older horse loses weight it's very hard for them to gain it again. Older horses are always so grateful for everything and they seem to enjoy hanging out with their humans more. I am praying she will find the most loving home and also some other oldie friends she can hang out with ❤❤❤

She looks so good now! When you first got her she looked like an emaciated pantomime horse; she was so thin in the middle (and I guess muscle atrophy in the back as well) that it looked almost as if the front and the back end weren't properly connected. I think her head has also filled out and her eyes don't look so protruding anymore. I know arabians have dished faces anyway, but hers looked so exaggerated when she was super skinny. It is so good to see her running around, even if it makes your life a tiny bit more inconvenient. :D You've done an amazing job!

I'll just say something from an OLD person's point of view. (I'm not ancient---but I'm probably at least 30 years older than you are) I'm no "horse person", but I am an "animal person", all my life...and raised kids, seen a lot of my family and friends die over the years. When an animal is sensitive, and they perceive how frail and fragile they have become---it's not a Big Deal to let go and die. And, as a human being, I've had health issues that also brought me to that place of facing mortality...it was not fearful, it was about Acceptance. YOUNG PEOPLE are all about "saving" everybody and helping them to LIVE LONGER----but, it one's usefulness is done, and those that love you are gone...what are you living for? You've witnessed some really unusual things with this particular horse. Frankly, in addition to your attention and kindness (and energy) she rediscovered a new reason to stay here on Earth through Willow and her foal. I'm just mentioning it---that she might just grieve herself into crossing over if you send her on. Clearly this is an emotional horse, and the security she has found in Willow, especially, is more important to her than FOOD. Just sayin'. There, I'm done now.

If Willow is Winnie's "sister" even moving her away slowly can still create a broken heart. Arabians are super sensitive to change and once they give their heart to their chosen, leaving can cause reversal. I have raised and rescued Arabians for over 40 years. Winnie seems more tender than most. I hope you will keep her. ❤

I was at infant school in the early 1970s with a girl who had contracted Polio and she was badly crippled as a result. If you have ever been to the African continent and seen the effects of a disease like polio on the human body because vaccination programmes weren't part of healthcare, you just would not say that. 😔

@@3232siobhan I agree with you 100% and as a result believe in compulsory vaccination for all serious childhood diseases. Adults can make their own choices. Here, in the Netherlands, there are some very conservative Protestant groups who do not believe in vaccination and as a result, over the decades, quite a few of their children have caught wholly preventable childhood diseases. In many countries these diseases have only disappeared because enough of the population was vaccinated. Younger people than me (I am now 69 years old) seem to be unaware of that.
