It’s weird how Itachi’s hair isn’t as black here compared till later, it’s more grey, but even the wrinkles he has at such a young age, wonder if his auto immune diseases, or whatever made him sick and killed him so early, was already showing here, and then he began taking medicine for the diseases once he found out about his mission from Danzo. Itachi just always looked older than his actual age, even witout the grey hair like Kakashi, Kabuto, or Kimimaru.
Read the Itachi novels, and you’ll get a lot more Izumi and Itachi, the scene with Izumi talking to Fugaku, Itachi’s dad, is so good, with Fugaku asking Izumi to stay with Itachi, cause he knows how much Itachi needs someone like her in his life.
They need to animate the chapter from the novel, where Itachi kills her using tsukuyomi, and makes her live out an entire life with him inside his genjutsu, before she dies from dying in the genjutsu, thanking Itachi for what he did. That scene could’ve been the most emotional, beautiful, and best scene in Anime, if they’d done it right, even doing an Itachi POV first person ciew for the while scene, of him walking very slowly towards her house, and being very minimalistic with the sound design. Just do that instead of Boruto fillers.

Love how Itachi kills her in the novels, which are canon, compared to these Anime fillers, and it’s important for him to do so, but would’ve loved if he could’ve saved her too, and just left with her and Sasuke, abandoning the ninja life, and him not having to protect the leaf by spying on the akatsuki, which would never have been strong enough to be a part of as well, even though she was gifted, her Stamina was even more terrible than Itachi’s, even though Itachi was sick.
