It's not a firearm. Often confused by it's similar shape, but this is an ammunition disassembly device separating the projectile from the casing, thus rendering the ammo "no longer dangerous". We must all do our part to personally confiscate these dangerous things and keep them from ending up in the streets. I personally try to remove the threat piece by piece as often as I can.

Short version, Point gun towards intended target, If loaded, release safety and SQUEEZE trigger. After firing (even multiple rounds), engage safety! I can only imagine some young (or even expierienced) shooter picking up a binary firearm, making a safe shot, and releasing trigger with accidental discharge!Look dad, I hit the can ,exiitedly turns for approval and shoots???????? I am a 50+ year old gun enthusiast, and can appreciate a giggle switch now and then, but lets not change the rules where every one has to learn differently That's what causes accidents and gives firearms(and owners) a bad name! If I understand what you're suggesting, is that someone fires, keeps the finger on the trigger while turning around "for approval" and then releasing the trigger and firing the 2nd round while the gun is pointed at the dad. There are some other issues here before talking about a mechanical safety.
No one's finger should be in the trigger guard unless it is pointing down range and ready to fire. Your scenario where the child turns for approval with his finger still holding down the trigger clearly breaks that rule, too. In addition, he shouldn't be swinging the barrel around toward people. So he's now broken TWO safety compliance rules before we even get to the issue of also consciously using a separate mechanical safety...and that assumes the gun has one. There a number of guns that do not even have a separate manual safety.

So, I went to the range one day and there was this guy there who had a 10/22 set up on a chassis for precision shooting. That guy showed me his targets and all of those holes were right precisely in the middle of the target all clustered around it. Just as it should be. So, I asked him about his setup. He told me all about the aftermarket Boyds stock, the Kidd trigger system and bolt. He had a bull barrel of some sort on it. The receiver came from somewhere else. I thought it looked and shot pretty dang good and I told him so. Then I said, "So, let me see if I got this straight, somewhere, in a box, is a complete Ruger 10/22 that you rebuilt piece by piece until now you have that one and this one?" He thought about it and grinned. He told me he guessed I was right.
He shot for a while longer and I moved down to the pistol range. Later on he packed up and he made a point to tell me he was gonna go locate all those parts and rebuild that stock Ruger 10/22. Then he laughed and said he had some different parts that would improve it some. I just laughed. I knew that pretty soon he would have another 10/22 built and the original still sitting in a box in pieces.

For Ruger Mini-14 owners: you can make a Binary trigger for the Mini-14's for super duper Cheap! Use a electric carpeting staple gun Staples, they're perfect for them. Take a staple and using neddlenose pliers, rebend and form the staple into a "7" and clip off the pointed legs so that the top of the "7" is a slightly shorter leg than the vertical part of the "7". Now the Staple is ready to be finished. It will be slightly oversize in thickness to function, so you need to use a knife sharpening stone to stone down the thickness of the longer leg to between 0.018-0.021 (Use Calipers to measure)
You can hit the shorter leg slightly with the stone to finish removing the plastic coating on the staple to clean it up
Installation goes like this: Take the Trigger Group out of the rifle. Look at it. You will see the hammer and where it clicks into place between the catch and the trigger catch, let the hammer down carefully and where these two parts come together in the assembly is a slight crack between them (looking down from top). Install the long leg of the "7" down into the crack between the parts most of the way, with the short leg going towards the rear of the rifle. Ta-Da! You're done. If you did it right the hammer will bang on to of it when it cycles and sometimes bend it a little, but that's ok. Reinstall the Trigger Group into the Rifle. Take Note!!! This Binary setup does not have an off switch! You are in Binary mode always. (until you remove the Staple) The safety functions normal, it's ok. One shot on pull of the trigger and one shot on release of the trigger. Total cost= Less than $5 for staples, Enjoy Brothers! ( I have thousands of rounds through mine! Works great. I like 4 shot bursts with it, myself)

I hate to say it, but most good accessories cost as much as your gun. For example.... If you buy the best bolt action rifle for precision, target, matches, or even just to allow you to utilize it to its best potential, you will spend near the price of the rifle on accessories to be able to use it to the precision that it can be used. A $2000 rifle is useless until you spend another $2000 on a scope that utilizes it's potential. But then again, this is a lot to spend on a range toy. The brace, suppressor, and sight also cost almost as much as the pistol for each of them. Best advice if you are low on cash, try out a variety of firearms, pick your favorite and then customize it, it's worth it to have a firearm that properly fits you and you are comfortable with. In my opinion, this is just a really fun range firearm.

Currently the 10/22 chargers are hard to get and when you find them theyve skyrocketed in price. I’m in Oklahoma and had to buy mine from Vermont. I got lucky and it wasn’t marked up an abhorrent amount. I got mine for $276+$25shipping+$20transfer at my LGS.
I had to buy the 1913 rail adapter. That was $50. The braces are $160 for the polymer strut version and $199 for the aluminum strut version. The binary is $299.
So total for me was $276+$25+$20+$50+$160+$300=$831
As for the suppressor, I did a form1 suppressor. Basically bought a solvent trap off gunbroker, filed a form 1 for $200, and drilled the trap when I was approved. The approval was something like 4 weeks for a form1 vs a year plus for a form4. Build the suppressor yourself. You won’t be unhappy.
This is the form1 kit I used but you can go with a JK kit or WTT or whatever else you want.

Accidently made binary trigger for mini 14, scary at first, fun for a bit, than it was annoying. Wish I could switch it on and off like that. Pretty cool 😎

They'll refer to binary triggers as, "more controllable, more accurate & more deadly than a bumpstock"... No NFA item either, Trump & the NRA will give 'em up faster than a rainbow haired rapper can give up his friends in court.

The selector switch sticker looks a little tacky to me, other than that it's a nice set up and you can't go wrong with a Ruger 10/22.

When installing their other offerings the first step is to toss the sticker in the garbage.
I would only keep the sticker if the firearm was to be stored next to a similar firearm so there is no confusion by myself or someone else to avoid any accidental discharges.

Paintball triggers just actuate an air valve. There is a shit ton more going on with triggers in real guns. And binary triggers are not new.

Hey 22plinkster I built my Ruger charger almost the exact same as yours . However I have the take down model and they didn’t have the 6 inch barrel with the take down model so I had to get a slightly longer barrel .. but it looks almost identical to yours .. I love it .
Thank you for making this video ;)
