  • In this video, we take the 7er on a drive down the Autobahn for the very first time. This restoration is slowly entering into the final phase. In this episode, I lower and raise the car (yup, you read it correctly), nail Alcantara on the headliner, replace some speakers... also, I talk for a bit in the end.

M Sprinkel I think it’s because he’s in Kansas and M539’s in Germany, this means part costs could be much lower and M359’s more of a BMW fanatic whereas Hoovie has many other cars and not the same level of liking

This video is the reason I finally decided to say 'yes, I want Alcantara fabric because like putting brand new OEM rims on a 1990 Honda prelude missing its bumper cover, this will enhance my experience!' Lucky for me there's a suspiciously large amount of wrecked Cayennes with GTS trim in scrap yards, just none with the pano roof from 08-10 meaning 'project to annoy the neighbors with time!' Unluckily for me, I live in North America. I was unable to locate a Technicoll distributor here, I am wondering if I didn't dig far enough, or if it's another reason my location is reason for unhappiness. Outstanding work again. The relaxed, funny and informative presentation also make the series a joy to watch. Great to see the E38 out and getting used after the countless hours of labour, they don't seem to make them like that any more.
I'll be getting some of that Foliatec fabric spray for my purple E60 parcel shelf. Thanks!

You sir were the coolest person on the autobahn that day. I was also looking for a good e38 last summer, found a manual 735 (the small v8) that looked nice but when we arrived it was in a very bad shape, pictures in the ad were probably 6 years old. It had rust everywhere and it had a noticeable ticking from the chain. I passed on that one. Haven't seen a manual since, anyways great videos and you're one of my favorite UA-camrs=)

I had to pause to say how much I appreciated the gluing part. That was brilliant and really helpful! I've always struggled with my technique but what was shown seems a perfect alternative.

Attention to detail that most youtube channels are lacking is one of the reason i subscribed. I own an e65/730d myself would be great to include them on this channel in the future.
