I met Mr Ostanek once. Was doing a gig, in a bar that had an auditorium, and ge was playing there. My guitar player knew him, and he came over during a break and sat with us for a while. A truly nice man.

What makes the accordion a special instrument is that it is not only the heart and soul of every polka band, it also excels in such genres as the tango, the waltz, Tex-Mex, French bistro songs, and Russian ballads. And what would a gypsy orchestra be without an accordion? Finally, what instrument is better at providing music that people can sing along with?
