    I shopped at his store for years Walter was always on tour somewhere only met him a few times, one of the hardest working musicians you will ever find ..and everyone always spoke highly of him ..in the early days he would help any starving musician out lending out guitars and amps ..His son Rick took over for him nicer guy you could not meet

    This music is akwardly funny. So are their fans😀. Here, at least in Germany, nobody listens to this music. Though the traditional bavarian “ village/ house” sounds a little bit similar. The word isn’t even a common term here. My granddad, who was a Vet in Hitlers Army, listened to military marches while driving his Mercedes. He said he drives better with Radetzky March 😂. But I can assure you that NOBODY here does the chicken dance. If you see people on the Oktoberfest in Munich doing that, you can be shure that they’re Americans.

      I'm from the city this doc was focused on in the first portion. The early settlers were mostly German and they were the ones that brought this music over. It's not popular by any means, you only ever hear it during Oktoberfest. But it was indeed brought over by German immigrants.

      Holyfox honestly, so what. Who cares if Western trends aren’t identical to Bavarian standards.

    Not an easy music to play you need to have many years off study on the instrument ok.

    • @tjrox03
      @tjrox03 Рік тому +1

      Same can be said about almost any instrument. As someone who plays an accordion myself, I learned all by ear without knowing mechanics of the instrument. It's all in the feel of the musician and how the interpret. Same with guitar, piano, drums etc...

    Who likes this horrible music? Bizarre! Good luck to him, he's enjoying life it seems.

    • @royjohnson465
      @royjohnson465 2 роки тому +3

      It is not horrible but the exact opposite, Polka is the happiest music this side of Heaven. But rather horrible HipHop and c'RAP' trash is the worst music.
