I'm a firearms instructor for my department and get asked about gun recommendations all the time. At my department we get a $500 allowance to buy a gun if you want to spend more you can. A Trainee whose family lives in Breckenridge is a successful realtor. I watched 3 videos for research and recommended the DWX. He wanted to thank you as I told him your video was comprehensive, comparative and direct. You need superchats or a way to get paid.

Got mine for 1500 with the intention of sending it straight out for an optics cut. Took it to the range first to make sure everything on it was functional and I was honestly surprised how easy it was to shoot. Very soft and the slide pulls right back on target.
The sights were super easy to pick up, so I may not even get it cut. For an optic. I have smaller hands and it was super easy to get a solid grip on, all the controls were reachable with no grip adjustment.
The trigger is excellent, and the figment of the parts feels solid.
The whole thing is super sleek and deformed so no part of it snags on anything.
The one complaint I have with is that red trigger. It makes it look like a cheap toy. I will probably buy a blacked out replacement trigger or get mine coated black. Other than that I love this thing. If you already have a carry that has a light and optic cut, this is awesome for when you don’t need those things
@onedeadboy - I have smaller hands as well. I will never get to hold this in person as it will be a special order from my local firearms shop. Can you comment on how the DWX compares to the Shadow 2 grip size?
@@cnelson1106 The shadow 2 has a nice cut in right under the trigger guard that the dwx doesn't but to be honest, I don't notice the difference between the two when shooting in that regard.
The cut under the beavertails feel identical to me. The DWX may be a little thinner due to the grips. For grip length, its closer to a 75 compact than a shadow2.
The grip at its widest circumference is 5.5" and 5" around the point between the beavertail and the trigger guard.
Frame is 1.125" without the grip, just under 1.23" with the factory grip. For the hell of it, the slide and dust cover are 1" thick exactly.
If your thumb-to-top-of-wrist measurement is 5" or more, you can easily reach the mag release without adjusting your grip.
Paddle on the safety sticks out 0.125" of an inch or so.
If your hands are anywhere near my size, I think when you grip it for function checks you're gonna love it.

Great take on the DWXC. Handled this and went with the CZ Shadow 2 compact. Felt better at a much lesser cost. These should be no more than 15 IMO, especially without the optic cut. I like the FS DWX looks better. 👍
I have to agree. Bought the DWXC about a month before Shadow 2C came out. Whilst the DWX is better built, the cost is a stretch given what the CZ offers. For me, I shoot the Shadow better and its more practical so the DWXC is going. I traded it for the FS DWX - which is epic...well except for needing to get the slide milled...🤔
The slide on the one I handled at the gun shop was not buttery smooth.
I would not trade my DWX Compact for anything. Between the comfy ergonomics, 1911 trigger, great accuracy and reliability it is my EDC and range choice.
The full size DWX uses the same mags as CZ P-10F and this one uses the same magazines as the CZ 75 compact.
How much will it cost to get it optic ready?
It shoots like a dream. But they aren't selling well. Mainly due to no optics cut or pic rail. Both a must have for many C&C users these days and most competitors supply. Therefore there is basically no aftermarket support. No holsters (the CZ75 works though), no grips, no sights, no base plates. 🤨
This looks very nice, but like others have noted...at $2k, there is no reason this does not come with an optic cut. Shadow 2 for much less. Bul Armory is also solid. Choices are a good thing for sure.
Bul jams, a lot; staccato doesn't & those are much more expensive

I get it, cool range toy. Kinda like a fancy car ya only drive on weekends. For everyday carry, use and knock around dont care if ya scratch or ding it I'll stick with a plastic fantastic. I wouldn't carry this or my high end 1911s daily, just like I'm not driving my 71 Z28 to work. Having 2 carry pistols set up exactly the same is a common thing these days.

CZ has no intention of going out of business, like Colt or Dan Wesson did. Premium (almost hand made) gun at a Premium price. That’s CZ. We’ll have to get our extra mags seperately…

Oh no! Your wrong bud. My DWX full size out shoots my sig X5 legion. Yes a few more Penny's, but if your in it these far just go the extra distance. Also no reports of the DWX going by itself. 😅
