To those who are police officers, I have a question. Are you afraid when going into a potentially dangerous situation? And if not how did you overcome those fears? If you are afraid, how do you compartmentalize it?
Look a bashido tactical very pricey carrier but it gives you full 360 IIIA coverage (even the shoulder straps) and has the option to add hard plates in front, back and sides up to 1.1 inch thick
If you want to be a cop do it. Don't worry about ride alongs you'll have plenty of time to drive yourself around and patrol if you choose to pursue the career. It's not all patrol, there's so much more to the job and riding with a cop can be boring and annoying for both people involved. If you want it do it, don't be scared and you'll be fine. If you want to do a ride along just to maybe get your feet wet maybe look for a different job. It's a strong yes or no career
@@johnmcgrath5871 I've been advised by other officers that if I wish to pursue the career then to do ride alongs with the department I'm interested in to ask the officer what it's like and what they enjoy or don't enjoy to see if it'll be a good fit for me.

Every agency is different. Depends also on size of agency. Larger departments/city’s have assigned beats and some smaller city’s don’t. I’ve worked for small town PD when I first started out almost 10 yrs ago and we covered the whole city. My current department is a county agency and we also cover the whole county with no assigned beats. So just depends. Good luck to you in your decision 🤜🏽

@@giraffewhiskers2045 there's a difference between athletic and in shape in shape means you're just good enough for you to keep up with the footwork on the job you don't necessarily need to be a football player or a bodybuilder to do the job just you need to be able to run well and to be able to be on your feet a lot longer than usual now I'm not a police officer but usually when jobs say that you need to be in shape that's what they mean you don't need to have big muscles or be the fastest runner in the world he just want to make sure that you're able to do the job properly and to also not get winded so easily.
We need more traffic control enforce the speed limit in San Gabriel ,safer streets for pedestrians , little Gang bangers have been dieting out here, San Gabriel has more organized crime here like houses that have prostitution, massage parlors in every corner. Police have forgotten they work for the people of San Gabriel.
