- Jerry Casale w/ Robert "Bob 2" Casale & Mark Mothersbaugh at Mutato Muzika studios in Hollywood, CA - Nov. 2004 - Working on Jerry's sold album "Mine Is Not A Holy War"( Eventually released under the name 'Jihad Jerry & The Evildoers' in 2006). Also seen in video is Chris Ross Kennedy, JB Popplewell, and Van Coppock. Raw unedited video by Michael Pilmer/Devo-Obsesso.
Mark asks Jerry his opinion about the part he's playing, then noodles loudly over Jerry's attempt to answer his question. I see Devo's writing sessions are exactly like every band practice I've ever been in! :D

Michael, I certainly don’t have to tell you that Mine is Not a Holy War is one helluva great album. Now that it’s been rereleased on vinyl with bonus tracks, printed lyrics and amazing new artwork, and the CD will be out in a couple of days (July 9), it’s a great time to reupload this and your other peek behind the curtain. Duty Now for the Future, y’all! Give the Past the Slip, because Later is Now. And let the opposition take note: Respect Existence or Expect Resistance!

Michael, what a phenomenal treat this is... thank you! Is there more? Is there other footage of the making of this album or of Devo in the studio at work on any other projects? In 1982 a very brief clip of the band in the studio was shown on Entertainment Tonight (or a very similar program, but I’ve always been sure it was ET). I saw it. In the clip we heard a few seconds of a song which wasn’t identified, but then when Oh, No! It’s DEVO was released I immediately recognized what I had heard in “Out of Sync.” I’d love to find that clip. Have you ever seen it?
