Let’s be honest …. They are a one of a kind band … they never sold out …. Nobody sounds like them … they write their music … their music exposes corporate America … As genuine has a fingerprint …
I wanted to reflect on the commentary they made about doing the song had like a Hole by Nine Inch Nails. I would say that there was literally a handful of bands that I was influenced by and one of them was definitely Devo. I have loved all their music and it has gotten me through many years of enjoyment. I remember going to a show and I believe the club was called the Safari and I had brought a tape of some of my early music to the show and played it for Mark. While he was listening to it he smiled and seemed to enjoy it and asked me if I wanted to play it after they got done on stage. And I have to tell you that was the entire world for me and meant everything and I couldn't be more appreciative of that. Mutually I feel that music is a amazing communication tool and has been one of my deepest loves for most of my life. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for everything and for the inspiration that they gave me along the way.
I name my software code repository “development” branches “devo” - nice abbreviation with a double entendre, and always makes me think of you guys! 🙏🏻.
17:40 Yes, not in daytime rotation but at least in the 90s there were lot of less mainstream and more artsy videos shown during the night in programs like "chill out zone". Examples: GusGus - Polyesterday, Flowered Up - Weekender, ... lot of FSOL videos :)
Disagree too , as far as songwriting goes my favs are new traditionalists and Total devo , i think there is to much focus on the switch between live drummer and the replacement to Linn drummachines when people disliked later devo stuff

Devo dosen`t need the rock hall. The rock hall needs Devo.
The simple fact that DEVO is only found in the R&RHOF gift shop is pretty much all you need to know about the R&RHOF

The first single I bought was come back jonee in the 1970's
feaqr of bob is strong in me
The first three albums were great, the rest not so much.
Disagree. The first 5 are all classics. In fact New Traditionalists the fourth album is my very favourite
@@santoantonioterranova6128 I like it too, more than most do, but it’s not a classic let’s be honest.
@@santoantonioterranova6128 I was not aware of that, that’s unfortunate
