- The previous videos I built a custom turbo kit using a garret GT2560R turbo for my daily driver: a 2008 Honda Fit. In this video we take the car to the dyno to see how much power it'll make! Plus, we test to see how much faster it is!

I'm thinking about slapping a turbo on the fit(been on the fence if I should or not) if so Im taking it to you guys. Im out in Savannah.
This just shows having less HP can be more fun than having more HP, my Mustang is basically stock power wise but almost all of the suspension has been swapped out and to me it feels perfect
i say the same, alot of horsepower only has benefits in motorsport... the only thing you do on the street is bragging rights which doesnt do anything for you. Ive always been into high power cars but come to realise more and more... why? i have more fun driving my 60s shitbox fast than anything else in the end.
@@eriksimca9409 I'm young and have gotten the chance to drive my dads friends highly tuned Subaru along with a gift from my dad to drive a Demon and a GTR Godzilla at a abandoned airfield, though there's something about my friends dad's little Seat Ibiza with a small turbo that just makes me giggle each time I drive it.

@@Blue__244 it was an R35 GTR, though it was just named Godzill. It was heavily tuned to about 650-750hp I think, so it was still a blast to drive!
Stop kidding yourself? You definitely have more fun if you mustang made a extra 100hp overnight and you are lying if you don’t agree. Sure you can always have fun but you don’t necessarily know what your missing if you’ve never had a huge jump in power on a car you have owned for a long time.

I’m in shock seeing this still. I am the designer of the ebtec logo. My blue S14 is in the front of the shop still today. I had to sell due to a family emergency and Emmino helped me out. He’s a great guy and he understood the pain of it. Thank you for putting ebtec high up. Brought a tear to my eye. I just recently started coming back into cars after quitting since to focus on my family and this brought me full circle. God bless.

I followed this FIT saga here in Brazil, because I've had a 2008 Honda Fit 1.5 16V Vtec for less than two years and I love the car. Unfortunately, I don't have the knowledge or financial means to do all this with mine, which by the way is very tired, but it was really cool to know its potential and everything it would need.

This has been really cool. I'd honestly like to see more economy car based turbo builds.
A light weight hatchback with some turbo spunk just makes day to day life so much more enjoyable. Still got room for friends and carrying cargo. But the noises that make an enthusiast laugh everyday. Well my FIst has done this for me at least. Thank you for years of enjoyable content.
Have the same car and love it, was hoping he could make 200 WHP and equal torque like a stock ST but maybe his car is lighter? This is a fun series and hope to see the car evolve further.
@@Blas4ublasphemy The only place to go next is to swap the motor for a K series and ditch the L15. The reason is the bore of the motor the K series has way bigger output and of course displacement and the L15 is more economic and has a small displacement and bore output so it's limited by default.

Turbo an older 2.3L Ranger (or a 4.0L). The Rangers had a 5R55E (or M if you can find one) transmission that was rated for 550 lb-ft torque. The 4.0L only produced 238 lb-ft, so you have some room to spare.
Just lost my fit last week on Friday in a rain storm, after 6 years of driving it I finally hydroplaned straight into the median barrier and totaled it.. seeing this still brings me joy, I always had plans of turboing it just never got all of the funds together, love the vids man, especially the fit ones.

In Poland we have a few e36/e46 builds with 1.6 m43 engine with 1.8t audi/vag intake. It makes simillar power to 330i
Also IS200 1gfe with equal lenght manifold would be nice, sounds like 2f2f skyline r34

I’ve owned some fast cars before. The Honda fit is by far the most fun car I have driven. I absolutely love my GD3 sport 5mt. I’m planning on throwing a turbo on it in the near future ✌️

Low HP and light cars are the funnest to drive. My 9-3 turbo is stock, but makes all the right noises and handles great.
I can't imagine an GD with that much power lol, this is an awesome daily build. The turbo and L15 sound incredible

I manual swapped a Lincoln Navigator and always had plans to supercharge it, but I sold it when I moved. It was enormous fun at drift events!

Wanted one for these cars for years. Covid prices ruined it for me. So I bought an 03 SVT Focus for 3750. Zero regrets, love driving it so much. But still want a Fit for the economy one day.

This makes me even more excited to get my GT2554R on my Fit, turbo noises are the best.
When we talked about your turbo, I knew that this GT2860 would be slightly oversized for this engine but I completely understand why you used it to keep the rods in the block. From what I've seen the 2554 is much more responsive, but I am a little worried about not making any windows in my block (although I do have a spare engine).

This is actually a 2560! So in between the 2554 and 2860. Definitely a bit laggy but super responsive compared to some other turbo engines I’ve driven lol. Good luck on yours! Electronic boost control would be very helpful on these.
@@_Gingium_ That's right, I forgot you had said 2560.
I'm actually really considering doing a boost controller/boost gauge combo like the AEM unit to be able to ramp the boost in appropriately and make the tune safer. I'd also like to do a flex fuel setup, but I haven't dug too deep into what that would take with the Flashpro yet.
Keep wrenching on this thing, maybe run thru really simple (but tedious) stuff like wire tucking, polishing an intake manifold to make it look better, just doing like stuff that makes a build a real build. Lots of people afraid of wiring, lots of people act like polishing aluminum is more work than it’s worth. I like your channel because it makes really complex projects achievable because you’re just a guy, doing this mostly by yourself. In a place you found and made it work, for yourself! Across the country too. That’s fearless my dude! A lot of people just can’t get out of their own way, and any OG followers watched you do it.
Personally I just picked those two things (the wiring, the polishing) because I don’t think there’s a lot of cost involved it’s just that people are too intimidated to dive into that stuff, there’s not a ton of quality video content (like yours) on how to do it and it’s kind of in your lane of just diving in and tackling. If that makes sense.

The second you said LS400 I was hooked. I would love to see you build a street/VIP/Monster sleeper of a Turbo UZ (Again I guess) but with the Lexus flair. Plus UZ’s just sound so good and its not a common build

Would love to see you turbo an IS250. Nobody touches the 4GR-FSE but it has potential! They're semi-forged from factory and are high compression too. Easily get 350hp!
They have a longer stroke than the 2gr so nobody takes them seriously
What about an E30 track car to compliment your drag cars? Cage, twin? turbo, weight reduction, aero, diff upgrades, suspension, etc. You could do lap time comparisons at say Road Atlanta between each stage of the build too to see what gives you the best time improvements. Set a target, 25% reduction in lap time compared to the stock car.
You should be an absolute menace and turbo a Dodge Caravan! 7 seats plus BOOOOOOOOST!

All the High horsepower Builds on youtube have ruined me, I immediately thought "Mhh now rods and pistons and headstuds and mo...ore boost" but this is perfect as it is for a daily driver.
