Funny how this stock little car is already becoming one of my favorites. I’d really like to see a 6 speed manual and k series in this car one day, but still with ac as a full daily. Btw, you should invest in a foam cannon for your pressure washer. Beats car washes by a long shot.
That is the best part, I like that it’s a Fit and I enjoy the exhaust sounds as well the bounce when hitting rough patches of road. It looks like a video game and joy to watch. 🎉🥹
The third person lap perspective really makes it feel like a video game. It would be cool if the editor put a HUD on there with stuff like speed / rpm / track position too! Awesome video.
Got a 2010 with 228K I’m 17 and I love it it’s the sports model and orange I only drive to home and school but it’s awesome a great car and easy to drive,it’s a good race car if it’s upgraded
Econobox racing is challenging, you have very narrow windows of opportunity. The penalty for missing them can be exaggerated as it may bleed into the next turn/straight. Your line into a curve, braking point, or not being at the right RPM/speed consequence is delayed as it takes longer to speed up and recover from those mistakes. It requires a lot of finesse to consistently be at the edge of the car's performance. It's less forgiving than other types of races.
You are so right, that is why I drive a 2000lb Insight with 100whp. If you really want to learn to drive fast you need to learn to conserve energy for the next straight.
Loving your content man. Awesome engineering skills, perseverance, decision making, and attention to detail. Always wanted to have a track car and unfortunately hasn't happened for me. Enjoying living vicariously through you. Keep on keeping on!
I purchased my 2008 Honda Fit sport 5 speed automatic with pedal shifters 15 years ago. It runs great with about 158,654 miles on it. It was made in Japan. I love the music sound this car produces, especially for my classical music and jazz .
Had a gd3 with 5spd. The 1.5 L15 really shines with the 5spd manual and was a blast to drive. Sold it recently and upgraded to RSX and its a whole different ball game 😂
Have just bought a 2008 Honda Jazz with 46,000 miles as a run-around for the wife but surprisingly it already seems a better car than most others I've had and owned.
I was either going to get the FIT or the Scion XD I wanted it Manual trans and I found a special edition XD manual and I had to get it I love it! And it also gets 38mpg highway!
I am on my 2nd Fit a 2015 Blue kept it 4 years warranty ran out bought 2019 new now have 90000 miles on it so far no problem love my car both cars were new
I drove my Honda Jazz from Adelaide to Townsville and back. Plus the other week I drove back from the mines, a 7 hour drive in 45C (113F) heat , no problem.
"Proving The Honda Fit Is The Perfect Daily" I mean, 34 mpg highway and 27 city plus it being like a sleek mini-minivan/hatchback-wagon-thing makes it a great jack-of-all-trades and a good daily driver as well, if I had one of my own I'd raise mine up a bit, put bags in the rear suspension to carry heavy stuff, maybe eventually try to bolt in the AWD from a JDM model, put another muffler in the exhaust, open up the exhaust flow with a bigger header and a vacuum-actuated dump pipe, maybe a filter bypass valve for acceleration, bigger radiator so I can move heavy stuff and not overheat even in Death Valley heat, basically make it carry loads of stuff and be utterly bulletproof while doing so while staying quiet and being faster than stock. And do aerodynamic stuff to get better mileage. And a bigger fuel tank because range is life. Man that would be expensive. Edit: And gauges, enough to see every pressure and temperature that matters, oil coolers, even one for power steering, maybe custom fab a locking clutch thingy to isolate the rear drive for better mileage once more, but man that'd be a very tall order lol like my idea for a fully mechanical vehicle with no electronics at all, just diesel with knobs and levers and shifters to control everything XD
HKS makes a great axle back, I picked one up for my 07 fit and I know, you'd think that one of the smallest Honda engines would sound weak but open piped it's actually decent and the HKS piece really hones it to a great sounding exhaust note throughout the whole range and when VTEC hits 🤪🤪🤪. Your fit looks sick and keep up the oil changes and you'll be straight, I just passed 190k, although I just had to redo the oil pressure solonoid
I've never had issues when I lived in GA, but if your tint is darker than 35% it is a misdemeanor and you have to go to court for it. Not a fix it ticket like in many other states.
I thought it was you! I should of stopped by and said hi on Sunday, love the Honda fit man! I was in the Infiniti G35 coupe with BBS wheels, I was only out for 2 sessions because I had motor issues later in the day :(
The motel room inspection was more thorough then the oil analysis lol. I challenge you to do a Project Farm inspired oil track day test with Molly. Get that oil HAWT. Data log oil pressure/temp. Do some commuting and trackday, then drain oil into a clean and clear container. Send a new and used oil sample out to get tested to an independent lab (not pen) and compare/share oil sample results new vs used.
Great commute and simple little track car. Great to see able to get some track time. I can’t wait for my honda fit gd3 on it , maybe some day we can meet 👌
The passenger-side front wheel bearings are known for wearing out rapidly on these models (I believe it's the trans side of the engine). Anyway, that might be the cause of your noise. Maybe not? 🤷♂️
I just bought a low km one owner of these for my girlfriend in the hope she would learn manual. I'm enjoying the car a lot more than her, surprisingly good handling, who would have thought! Now I find myself modding it, I hope she doesn't crash it one day haha.
Well i just stumbled into this video and i love it. I took my bone stock 09 fit to gman last fall... was a ton of fun tossing that thing around there. Your line is decent just too much brakes. I think i may have been your buddies instructor at honda meet and he unfortunatly lost his engine iirc 😢
I've recently been surprised at how well the looks of the fit have aged, I see some second gen fits around town and really want one even though I already have a 09 civic si and a 2020 toyota 86
My stock GE8 made the road trip from Albany, NY to Phoenix, AZ during one of the worst winter storms in the last few decades. So I'm just gonna guess that this road trip will be a breeze 😂
Great driving functioinal and practical car ..hauls and sips gas ..very comfortable and responsive ride...highly recommend it ..does Not Leak any oil at 200k either
Greetings, what kind of exhaust system is there and what kind of company is the winding model? The sound is gorgeous on the track. How to achieve the same pleasant sound of the exhaust system?
Honestly that’s pretty cool, I went to that track the 15th of September, honestly a really fun time, I ended up blowing my transmission, so props to your car for being a reliable daily! Love the videos man! If you ever go again and beat 1:59.8 congrats you beat me😅
I drive an 07 Honda Fit, Absolutely the best car I've ever had. I bought it in 2019 for $1500, When covid hit I just said fuck it and lived out of it traveling across the country. In 2021 I came back to California and started driving for doordash in it, I put over 60,000 miles on it in three years, The thing only broke down on me 3 times 2 of which were my fault lol
The confiest seat I ever had was in my Xantia (eudm sedan). Bi density bolstering, form keeping. adjustable lombard support. Did a straight 14h in it no prob.
If the fit ever gets rodknock, I say do a stock bottom end rebuild and then build the head for higher rpm. It would be cheap and give the car a little bit more power without sacrificing reliability.
Funny how this stock little car is already becoming one of my favorites. I’d really like to see a 6 speed manual and k series in this car one day, but still with ac as a full daily. Btw, you should invest in a foam cannon for your pressure washer. Beats car washes by a long shot.
Im like 95% sure this swap can be basically oem, ac and cruise and all. With some tsx or rsx parts.
The fit is actually a real neat platform
What is k series?
@@bmwchannel2149 it’s a 2.0 and 2.4 engine platform used in the Honda Type R’s
DMO Deejay already did it. But in the UK where this is a Honda Jazz, I recommend u to see it he has a 840hp same color as gingium's
@@justsomegarage no cruise control in the jazz
That 3rd person lap shot is probably my favorite thing I’ve seen on UA-cam in a while. Seriously superb work
If you like that angle, you might like TsuchiFD's channel. Does California mountain runs in his FD RX7 and S13 with a camera like that.
Check Insta360
That is the best part, I like that it’s a Fit and I enjoy the exhaust sounds as well the bounce when hitting rough patches of road. It looks like a video game and joy to watch. 🎉🥹
Add some cool rpm and speedometer graffic on the corner and this would give me a nfs vibe. Good job great work
The third person lap perspective really makes it feel like a video game. It would be cool if the editor put a HUD on there with stuff like speed / rpm / track position too! Awesome video.
Fit looks and fun, must feel fun to drive on curvy roads. Although it must be fun daily-ing a K-series 1st gen fit tho 😉
K-series 🤔
I was thinking the same… that would be a heck of a car 😂
K-Series fit 🫰
@@_Gingium_ stock K-series not turbo one
K24 frank full N/A build pleaseeee
that last lap had so much jazz that it just fit perfectly
my 07 fit has 310 K, still running strong
Got a 2010 with 228K I’m 17 and I love it it’s the sports model and orange I only drive to home and school but it’s awesome a great car and easy to drive,it’s a good race car if it’s upgraded

them burbles on that exhaust sounds pretty good on the track.
Loving your content man. Awesome engineering skills, perseverance, decision making, and attention to detail. Always wanted to have a track car and unfortunately hasn't happened for me. Enjoying living vicariously through you. Keep on keeping on!
Dude that chase cam is perfect! Love it.
those downshift crackles sounded pretty damn good
Right? Probably my favorite part

Love this little nugget of a car
Great, I've been waiting a long time for the progress of the Honda Fit project. I look forward to more content. Congratulations.
I absolutely LOVE the Fit content! 😎
My dad bought a manual trans 2010 Honda fit as a "beater daily". Thing now has 300k miles and honestly feels like new. Kinda wild
I’ve always loved the fit. Had an 07 it was so fun and efficient. I’m sad they discontinued it in the states.
Have just bought a 2008 Honda Jazz with 46,000 miles as a run-around for the wife but surprisingly it already seems a better car than most others I've had and owned.
K24 it now! Dailying my kinda same jazz in Lithuania.. them episodes makes me want to upgrade it 😁
Definitely do a rear disc conversion.
You dont have to Prove it to me. I drove my Fit yesterday 4 hours tracked all day & drove it back. & was the fastest FWD car there... The best.
I was either going to get the FIT or the Scion XD I wanted it Manual trans and I found a special edition XD manual and I had to get it I love it! And it also gets 38mpg highway!
The little Honda sounds great, man! And it looks fast for a fit!
Thanks dude! It feels super slow on track but it’s a fun little car on the street
I am on my 2nd Fit a 2015 Blue kept it 4 years warranty ran out bought 2019 new now have 90000 miles on it so far no problem love my car both cars were new

loved seeing you have fun man. Very heartwarming
Awsome trip!! I have a 2015 fit, looking forward to many miles!!

I don’t say this often but that Honda fit sounds goo000000d
That camera shot following the car around the track and the drone shot of the ravine were amazing!!! Fun video man!!!
No camera was following, it was the mounted go cam on stick behind
the SFX is really good in the 3rd person lap

I start to like this chanel. fantastic video & shots, you have taste.
this honda is nothing but FUN, I confirm.
AMAZING shot in that 3rd person lap my guy! Looks like a game!

ive whatched every single one of your vids for the past 3 years
This makes me and my GE8 very happy to see
Great commute and simple little track car. Great to see able to get some track time. I can’t wait for my honda fit gd3 on it , maybe some day we can meet 👌
can't wait for the continue of this series, hope during the 2023 you'll end up k swapping this thing!!
my best video of honda jazz Fit. very cool bro..
This reminds me of the eclipse roadtrip series 🥲 Great content
Fantastic camera work on this one give the operator a raise
Nice.. This type of driving might be what starts the flex cracks at the rear upper corners.
The passenger-side front wheel bearings are known for wearing out rapidly on these models (I believe it's the trans side of the engine). Anyway, that might be the cause of your noise. Maybe not? 🤷♂️
Ayo! I'm pretty close to Athens and have a fit and a k24 Miata so if you ever need a hand working on the fit, I know my way around them decently well!
Great video, i love those drone shots 😍
Been waiting for this video bro.😭😭
I just love this little Fit.
"More fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow" they say. Looks like fun to me. Chase cam is cool and scenery shots were awesome!
Betrayal at the House on the HIll is legit fun AF
Dang.. Caleb staying in my hometown, climbing the dunes at my beach, and racing at my home track. And I didn’t even know??
This video made me love my GE8 more, I wish I had a track close to where I live to experience the limits of the L15
I just bought a low km one owner of these for my girlfriend in the hope she would learn manual. I'm enjoying the car a lot more than her, surprisingly good handling, who would have thought! Now I find myself modding it, I hope she doesn't crash it one day haha.
Smooth lap.
Nice car you’re country is beautiful you own .
This was my daily driver for 2 years until i got a Toyota Starlet EP82, it was great, its fun while it’s not a fast car, and it’s very reliable
Love the follow cam ..
Put a k24/20 in that lil hatch. easy 230hp stock internals just an oil pump.. torque monster, perfect daily..
I took my 2008 Honda Fit on two separate trips this summer….Total miles 1200…..My car currently has 193,000 miles on it, it is amazing!
I've always liked the Spoon Honda Fit from Granturismo 4
what a fun trip
This car needs a Spoon inspired livery on it! Oh and a K-swap if your in there as well. 😁
Is it right to put Spoon livery on a car that doesnt have spoon parts on it?
Well i just stumbled into this video and i love it. I took my bone stock 09 fit to gman last fall... was a ton of fun tossing that thing around there. Your line is decent just too much brakes. I think i may have been your buddies instructor at honda meet and he unfortunatly lost his engine iirc 😢
Good track car...I don't know. But for anything else, I'm agree with you
I've recently been surprised at how well the looks of the fit have aged, I see some second gen fits around town and really want one even though I already have a 09 civic si and a 2020 toyota 86
loved the video of your best lap but i would have loved to see your tach and speed on the side as well!

Great Videos bro, love from Indonesia 🇮🇩
we had a 1.3 liter '05 jazz and i miss it from time to time. its cvt was a bit rubber bandy but all-in-all it was a great daily driver.
Those drone shots were sick
Great video man. I especially enjoyed the track clips. What was your top speed on the track?... do you remember??
Great driving functioinal and practical car ..hauls and sips gas ..very comfortable and responsive ride...highly recommend it ..does Not Leak any oil at 200k either
Love the fit man!
The Honda fit is awesome
Chase cam made it feel like the old days watching you play Forza
awesome fit
Greetings, what kind of exhaust system is there and what kind of company is the winding model? The sound is gorgeous on the track. How to achieve the same pleasant sound of the exhaust system?
I just did an oil change on my 86 after over a year of driving hard on the street the regular toyota oil looked a lot cleaner then the pennzoil
Get a rear sway bar to get the fit to rotate quicker
The chase cam view reminds me of Need For Speed Shift 2. So that game basically have quite close to realistic camera view and physics.
RIP boosted John’s EK hatch
Ngl this was a very well produced video
15:39 can you make a video on the back like that full without talking and music, just pure thrills of racing games
Honestly that’s pretty cool, I went to that track the 15th of September, honestly a really fun time, I ended up blowing my transmission, so props to your car for being a reliable daily! Love the videos man! If you ever go again and beat 1:59.8 congrats you beat me😅
Update since I last went again I scored a 1:50.48 with some track tires still room for improvement, love seeing the videos!

The confiest seat I ever had was in my Xantia (eudm sedan). Bi density bolstering, form keeping. adjustable lombard support. Did a straight 14h in it no prob.
I like Hondas I have s honda fit 009 and they are pretty good and nice to drive especially with the I-vtech engine
Awesome Fit! Love the build! Also, what game was that you all were playing with the cards? Looks like a crazy version of Clue!
Its perfect. I have a honda fit aria 4wd. Super reliable. Use it daily
nice work!
🎶Gotta be the alternator 🎶
If the fit ever gets rodknock, I say do a stock bottom end rebuild and then build the head for higher rpm. It would be cheap and give the car a little bit more power without sacrificing reliability.
Wish I’d known, I live super close to Gingerman!
I had to cut a piece of the back bumper too that has the little lip on that hits your tire to just let you know
There is nothing like turning laps on a road course!
i like how he starts off at 6am and there’s school bus behind him. really brings back terrible memories
