- Triumphs chose the most appropriate name for this three cylinder, motorcycle- the Rocket 3.
 I took this rocket out for a test ride, while waiting for my other motorcycle to be serviced.
There is a twist to this story - but how significant is it !?

It's fun to listen to someone who doesn't know about a bike and getting a first impression of the bike
I have done 1100 miles in one day with little discomfort. Touring, cruising, in town shopping, the Rocket does it all.
Nice Review.. I owned the 1st gen Rocket 3 2014 Roadster for 3 years and rode it to work every day. That bike put a smile on my face every time I twist the throttle. Nothing like it. I now have 2 Harley CVO's , but that bike is special for sure, and I would consider purchasing the new generation for sure....
I have the triple black GT but have the foot pegs in the R position. I love mine. Does it all.
That bike can get you in trouble quick. Looks awesome too. You should do more test rides. Hearing those first impressions makes it a fun video to watch. Thanks for the video,

..Er..yes there are...Most of Triumph bikes are 3 cylinder. Nobody makes a 3 cyl as well as Triumph. I have three of them..A Triumph Street Triple 675R, A Triumph Tiger 800XC and a 2006 Rocket 3, 2.3 litres..the first edition was 2.3 litre engine..the newer one is 2.5..the biggest production bike in the world. I am 5'6" tall and I love it ! It makes a Harley look like a free gift in a Cornflakes box ! Also, Triumph is the longest production motorcycle company in the world..They are fantastic bikes.
Great video Sandy! Love your reaction to the throttle.. actually before my first Harley I test rode one and like you said crazy power but to be honest it felt to smooth for me.. I’m thinking it’s the inline engine.. you should try and test ride a Suzuki m109r.. crazy torque and feel
The bike rocks like that because the crankshaft is in-line rather than across the frame. BMWs and Guzzis do it as well. It was quite a surprise the first time I got my Le Mans in the air over a humpback bridge, and the bike tried to roll around the crankshaft! 😀

I have a 2020 Rocket 3 GT and man once you ride this bike your doom no other motorcycle will produce that experience of torque and power on a cruiser you have to to ride it to know how it feel to ride that monster 163 lb-ft of torque in and 165 hp in Harley number its a 153 cubic inches motor the new 2023 CVO as only 121 motor or the most poerful Harley motor that you can install on your Harley is a 135 ci, so yeah for me its a keeper.

Think about how advanced that bike is and how fast it is and its still BONE STOCK..... :D. You slap an air cleaner, pipe and tune on it and it turns into a BEAST!! Now go ride a few Ducati's or BMW's... LOLZ...variety is the spice of life brother!! (actually beg John to let you dance on the Busa for 10 minutes...)
How would this do against a big build HD like a 135/143 making big power?
Looked at one of these before I brought my lowrider st, just thought if I brought the rocket I would end up catching the bus to work after I lose my licence and it wouldn’t be a long term bike like the Harley

There is another model of it called the GT that has forward pegs and higher bars, and I think a small windshield.
The new R3 parked outside the shop was a GT.
Rockets are as unique as the Honda Rune. Salute to Triumph for still producing ROCKETs.

There is a company in UK that does a supercharger kit for them circa 230bhp I believe.

TTS Performance have dynoed their blown R3 at 340bhp. They also have a 280bhp Harley FXDR... and a UA-cam channel. Oh, and for your buddy Cycle Fanatix, a 370bhp Hayabusa.

It's apparent that you know little about the bike. The Quick Shifter is an option which you should have known before you rode it. The R version has almost no windshield and the lack of wind protection is obvious.
Really little value in this video. You really should have known more before doing a test drive video!

Street is normal not rider, rider is custom mode
I have one for 3.5 years, it was exiting at first bur it really it is one trick pony and now that new Diavell V4 is out and it kills me dead i am disappointed a bit. I believe that this bike is way underpowered, and Triumph must load on updates more aggressive map but for now it is charging buffalo, nothing else.
