Do the same test with ZZR / ZX14 GEN1 AGAINST GEN2, THAT WOULD BE INTERESTING. LOL.

I'm not staying 146 isn't fast but the size of the engine and horsepower numbers suggest it should be much faster. It's not a whole lot faster than my old sv650

Mate it'll weigh more than double almost to your bike and it just doesn't work like that man cmon man surely you'd know that being a biker. Like saying a 600gsxr should be slower than the new 800cc 8r because of engine size 😂
Remember this is a standing start mile on an old runway surface. An SV isn't getting anywhere near 145mph on that. Especially measured vs speedo's bs.

If it weren’t electronically limited, it’d probably go between 170 - 180 mph.
Isn't it all down to the gearing? It has the power and torque to run faster.

Uh, yes. I did 155mph on my road GSXR-750 back in 1995, at Goodwood's track. But OK, as long as it gets you wet between the legs.

It would have fun to have seen some 0-100 km/h (or 0-60 mph), 0-200, 0-201m, 0-402m times or similar. To me, time is more interesting than the speed :)

I had a chance to ride down the old air base in Croatia and I think everyone should get a chance to test ride their bike full throttle on a runway. Its really fun

Not that fast then. I reached 155mph (GPS) on the Autobahn, S1000RR in rain mode, nowhere near flat out.
It's not about being the absolute horsepower King or the fastest it's the feeling that bike gives you at any RPM
Nothing compares to the feel of a Rocket 3…

Because despite having been a customer since 2010 at each year's renewal I am no longer able to access Bike Social. I've given up contacting you because you don't respond!

The answer is: not very fast. The top speed, the 0-100-200kmh times are quite pathetic.
It's definitely not as exciting as a gen2 Yamaha Vmax, Brits are always making shit up...😂

I was surprised that with so much power they were so slow . I own the 765rs street triple.
@@longriderxx 146mph is slow?! The Rocket 3 is all about the torque and low down grunt as opposed to maximum performance, so the aim of the event was to allow anyone and everyone a chance to feel it for themselves.

This event was than 10 miles from me, sadly couldn't make the event.
Would like to have known how fast the TFC can go. Did 141mph (indicated on the autobahn).
Had the old variant (R3R) which was was fantastic but the new variant is the best bike on the planet.

BS. Get on a new Rocket 3, turn all rider aids off, pin the throttle on it, ride through the bottom 3 gears, then come back here and tell your story. There is nothing else that pulls like a Rocket bone stock. PERIOD.
