      @@DanielBakerDPDRexpert , thank you for your help. I know, it is anxiety. But the biggest problem is, that I cannot accept the dissociation. And then I have a lot of thoughts about my dissociation, etc. What you also have told in a video.....
      I am living in The Netherlands, I can write in English a little bit, but my conversation in English is not so good.

    I have a lot of negative feelings and it’s really hard to live like this , but what worries me the most is when i’m with my boyfriend and i can’t feel love for him i just can’t i’m numb and this makes me feel guilty because i know that i love him extremely but i can’t feel him . Will my emotions for him come back Daniel?

      Hey ya, yes your emotions will come back, but seeking external reassurance isn't a great way to feel better because it will only be temporary. You need to create internal reassurance. I notice you comment frequently and I love reading them, but consider taking the next step and booking a free call with me so you can really get the help you need: calendly.com/discoverycallwithdan/60min

    Hey Daniel, my name is Trey. I could really really use your help. I started dealing with this in 2020, it faded away around 2022-2023, but my brother (also dealt with it extremely severe) after many hospitalizations and medications over 7 years committed suicide near 2 months ago and mine came back stronger than ever. I’m just afraid, I don’t wanna end up like him. I’m a very chill and soft spoken person who used to be so good at relaxing myself and just letting this be, but ever since he did this my brain is under immense stress and dp and I fear I don’t know how to get out this time. I’m constantly thinking about him which triggers it for me, or even if i’m thinking about other things and having good days, I feel physical anxiety which triggers the thoughts again. Would be grateful for your help

      Hi Trey, I'm very sorry for your loss and it's a tragedy that your brother took his own life. This is obviously going to have a massive impact on you and will trigger all sorts of feelings and emotions. Talk to a counsellor or therapist to help you through your grief. When you're able to talk about the DPDR please book a free call here and we can discuss how to get you out of this during this difficult time: calendly.com/discoverycallwithdan/60min

      I disagree, it works when done the right way.

      I distracted without paying attention for 4 years still dint go away

    • @DanielBakerDPDRexpert
      @DanielBakerDPDRexpert  2 місяці тому

      I'm sorry to hear that. Distraction is only part of the puzzle - as anxiety is a collection of unhelpful thoughts and behaviours you need to unpack and process what they are, distraction alone won't work.
