Hi everyone! If you're just starting out on drums, I've put together a comprehensive beginner drum book that will teach you everything you need to know. It's packed with exercises and tips that have really worked for my students. Feel free to check it out! 👉 mybook.to/nfh0uTr
6 months ago, I was a complete newbie and only knew beat 1 & 2, after working on this as little as 5 mins per day, I mastered all beats except for 17 and 22, this helped me alot. Thanks from canada ❤❤
The BEST notated beginning video on UA-cam. I’ve played every beat thousands of times on real gigs. I literally teach my students all these beats. This is a GREAT Resource. 🥁🔥
Absolutely right. I am not a sight drummer, but I have played almost all of these rhythms (not the waltz! For what, I've never played any waltz music?)
@@SightReadDrums Reminds me of my first lessons in 1970, except for the absence of my teacher Dennis Stefani's notations: "BD" (Bass Drum), "SD" (Snare Drum) and "HH"(Hi-hat.)
Nice job! Im beginner/intermediate drummer and i work on these beats in my routine! So far i have mastered beats 1 through 10, 12 & 14. Love the cool beats and keep up the great work 😅😅❤❤❤
Wow, this video is absolutely fantastic! The content is so engaging and informative, and the production quality is top-notch. I'm seriously impressed by the effort and creativity that went into making this. Kudos to the entire team involved! You've really raised the bar with this one. Can't wait to see what you come up with next. Keep up the incredible work! 💯👏

I get confusing on that shuffle note sheet I already and really use to play that note.. But if only seeing the note without the drumming sound i might confuse because there is a time when hi-hat, snare and bass drums are in the same timing to hit it!? But in reality we don't hit it.. I really need to know ehat is going on there ??
im new to drumming and im learning to play a song. I have everything down till i get to a part thats #11 (Eighth Note Feel) If anyone can give me tips it would gladly help!!!
What about the one that does boom on 1 tap on 2 boom on the and of 3 and tap on 4. The one that's in most songs. Boom tap, boom tap. Idk what it's called and I looked and couldn't find
drummers any tips on the beat at 3:28? i'm able to do most of these but i especially struggle with this one and getting the hi hat and kick timing to sit correctly.
Just like for the rest of the grooves. You go sloooooow, and when you start getting the feel you go like 5bpm quicker and repeat. And count when learning a new groove, it helps.
@@WD.909 well, AT slow tempos you play all triplets on Hi hats or ride written in 12/8 And with medium too fast tempos you play thé Shuffle often written in 4/4 Slow triplet tempos feel liké half time beats....

smh no blast beats
Lmao
That was number 23. But it didn’t make the cut.
Why did I not learn this beat in this video? ua-cam.com/video/nfWSmdpJkV0/v-deo.htmlsi=CRSPbqXrlUeVWcJ5
Anything is a blast beat it you play it fast enough.
Any of these beats can be blast beats if they’re played at the right tempo in the right piece of music, I think😊
Thank you ❤
Thanks)
So cool dude
Love this, thank you. As a non-drummer, I assume the top line is the hi-hat rhythm, and the bottom ones on the staff are the snare?
Yes the 'x' on top is hi-hat, notes in the second space from top are the snare, notes in the bottom space are the kick
It's great!!!!
It's what ever you feel or feeling on the moment 🥁

11, 14, 16, 19 and 22 are best

Why is the triplet feel one in 12/8? Can you play it in 4/4?
Depend on how you count it.
In 12/8 it's usually a Slow Blues
In 4/4 it's commonly a Shuffle...
It can be written in 4/4 as well. The 8th notes would be written as triplets in that case.
@@Lovelystevie How do different time signatures create different feels?
@@WD.909 well, AT slow tempos you play all triplets on Hi hats or ride written in 12/8
And with medium too fast tempos you play thé Shuffle often written in 4/4

Yes

Что обозначает нота в скобочках?
It's played quietly.
What do the dots next to the notes mean, like on the triplet feel
A dot extends the duration of the note by half. In this case we’re in 12/8 time so the dotted quarter notes last for 3 eighth note beats.
