The lens is beautiful, it has a perfect balance of soft/sharpness with a stunning glow wide open. I use it on my MP, swapped it out from the 35mm FLE Summilux V1, never looked back. Great shots!
Thanks for sharing, Sam. Given your comments, you might like the 50mm Summicron version II or the DR. I have been using a 1960 version of the Summicron on the M11-M for a few months and the rendering is a nice balance with that sensor. Soft and dreamy wide open and soft but sharp (if that makes any sense) stopped down to f4 or more. I also use the 2023 Summilux 50mm on the M11-M, which is very nice, but I usually prefer the 1960 Summicron for portraits. I can recommend both as they render quite differently.
Thank you for watching/commenting. I had the V2 50mm for a while but went to the 50mm f1.4 ASPH for clarity purposes but the dreamy/film look that I enjoy I bought a Light Lens Lab ‘Speed Panchro’ 50mm and an LTM Canon f1.2 50mm (amongst some other old M39 50mm Leitz lenses). We have very similar tastes in lenses and cameras!
