I just bought so many of these off of tackle warehouse and I'm using them to Ned rig the 3" rage bug and I'm getting CHEWED!! Talk about a sneaky presentation to flip docks with!! 😲!! I know immediately as soon as I seen the smaller size what was going on.. I think I was one of the first people to order bigger CORE tackle hooks for swimbaits and man does it make! You can use these smaller ones on the small Megabass swimbaits for A-rigs, tight lining.. it's endless!! Ned rigging... I mean I could go on and on!! So glad you guys came out with these and I'm so glad I have a box full of them. It's so nice to have two different types of terminal tackle in one.. 👏👏💪💪
I love your videos and left serval comments. I guarantee you that managers of Bass Pro Shop are certainly looking and will start making them. I'm the original person who started ROD WRAPS, not mentioned his name, he's an awesome person and the man that started ROD WRAPS, eventually Companies started making their own and eventually grips made into the rods. This awesome man was the start of it all. Bass Pro Shop OUTDOOR WORLD in Nashville, out sold all other stores combine. I was the one promoting his ROD WRAPS. Bass Pro ordered them until they figured out how to make them their selves and kicked him to the curb after putting in a huge order. I guess that's why they are the predators of stores, but destroying lives alone the way.
Matt, great video. I ordered a few of these hover strolling jigs as I have been “caught” by many lures before. WOW does this jig work. I just ordered 4 more packs. These work. I noticed the bait comes back different almost every cast. Bass cannot resist this jig . I was a fishing guide for over 35 years. My dad was a guide. My grandfather was a guide. I have used just about every kind of lure made. This lure is one of the most impressive lure I have ever used. You are awesome for inventing this. Thanks
I can't thank you guys enough for making and recommending these! I caught my PB on the 3/0 1/8oz head and a KVD Caffeine Shad a few days ago! The Hover Shot SLAYS! 👍
Best looking hover rig hooks I've seen. Just order a pack of each. Can't wait to try them out soon. Looking forward to more unique baits from you and Jonny. A great team of bass pros.
Matt, congrats on getting this new venture started! I can’t wait to try them. I am also excited to see what else is on the horizon. Keep up the good work!
I've been experimenting with the 1/8oz Core Tackle Hover Rig and different baits and my go to bait based on action is the 4.5 slug-go. The slug-go is a gliding bait to begin with and added to the hover rig it's awesome!!!
Already had some flat worms same exact color as the ones you rigged on. Picked some up and received them fairly quickly. Looking forward to trying them out. Awesome videos!
Got mine ordered and I am incredibly excited to start using them. Ordered up a bunch of each size and then ordered up some flat worms, that I have never used.
This is great Matt. It’s really cool that you fixed a problem that everyone has with the rig. I was drilling a hole in the weight that the hook went through…like some tube inserts. Your way looks much better and the weedguard will be much appreciated. Great Job!!! Order placed
Appreciate all your efforts, Matt. (Not just this one.). Your retrieve tweak advice has helped me catch a few more chatter bait fish. Your swim bait advice got me started fishing swim baits and underspend. You’ve changed some of my thinking about fishing. There’s nothing more valuable to me than that. I’m in for trying this too. Order placed!
Way to go Matt. So exciting to invent tackle/baits. i personally invented something about 7 years ago. its now available from several companies. just ordered 6 packs of yours. keep up the excellent work
i make an underspin for a 2.8 keitech. its on what we refer to as a sled rig. super weedless. way before anyone ever made underspin thst small. But again comes through rock and cover unbelievably. i dont do any social media if i knew how to send you some i would
I can see quite a few situations here in the UK for both salt and freshwater fishing where this will work really well. Most places here, whether fresh or salt get a lot of pressure and this bait and technique will help big time. Hope you can also get some rig specific baits moulded. Baits with a void moulded in to take the weight will be even easier to rig and adding some superglue would make them near indestructible for most species without significant teeth.
@@MattStefanFishing Nice ! I always thought the guys that made tube baits to fit on the tube jig head missed a trick by only making tube style baits for them. Hope you can do a heavier range as well more suitable for fishing 15 ft plus in current/tide run. Keep up the good work and expect an order from Scotland soon.
Hi Matt, I fish for lake trout through the ice in the Winter. I think this hook design will be particularly useful in that environment to keep a jig level when jigging for lakers. I look forward to trying them ice fishing and then as the weather develops moving into the summer for smallmouths. A level presentation is particularly important. We often have to put a cone lead weight in the nose of a tube ahead of the jig to accomplish this leveling. There are already jig designs similar to the one you've created but I think yours appears to be far superior for bass. I can also think of situations where I can try the technique below a bobber. Thank you
This looks like a perfect bait for where I fish, ordered a pack of both sizes. Can't wait to try it, thank you for putting these out, as well as for all of the fishing information you provide, I appreciate it!
Here’s an idea….on a hover rig or weedless wacky jig head that loses it’s wire guard. I put them in a fly tying vice, and tie a new wire guard using Stealon leader material (plastic coated stainless wire #30 and up). Cut the length, bend an L, then tie it on the shank with fly tying thread. I coat the thread with liquid Locktite Super Glue. The weight of the leader is determined by the weight of the jig. I use this method from a 1/32 oz crappie jig to 1/2 oz jig heads. Most store bought weedless jigs have a limited lifespan on the wire guard.
Just wanted to let you know I tried one of your tips with some great results. A couple of weeks ago in your video you talked about putting a in-line spinner on the front of a swimbait. It does come through and over grass cleanly down here in south Alabama. I ended ended up catching 10 fish on my new secret weapon. Thanks… keep those tips coming. Fred Fishbite Fishwell, Sr.😎
@MattStefanFishing I got a pack of each. Figured they look great, and with boys named Hank and Duke, I can already tell they are gonna eat a lot. Trust me, I have a Jack and a Henry lol. Thanks!!
Ordered! I’ve been wanting to try hover strolling but I knew it would involve losing a lot weights and worms. I would love to see an even smaller one. A size 1 or 2 hook.
Just ordered mine in both sizes. Can’t wait to try this with all of the baits you rec’d on Core tackle site, esp the Deps Bull Flat. That thing has been my new confidence bait on a free rig. Keep innovating!
Looks cool. I fish tubes fairly frequently and this jig head looks like a great way to fish all sorts of different plastic profiles the same way I use tubes. Can't wait to give it a try.
I ordered 2 of each. Hope it helps to support the channel. I fish in a highly pressured lake here in NE PA. This might just be something the smallies haven't seen here. A couple extra fish in the boat is a good thing!
Ordered a few of each size. I love your passion you have shown towards this fishing technique. I cannot wait to get out on the water and start throwing these. I really look forward to to seeing what other products you have lined up under the Core Tackle brand name.
Ordered 2 of each to give them a try. The key for me is how the hook point holds up. Quality hooks are THE key to these finesse techniques. I have watch Milliken Fishing use the hover tech to catch some quality fish when nothing else will trigger a bite. Hope these work well, so much easier to rig.
I love this rig, and this product looks like it will help with some of the problems I've had with the hover rig. It does catch fish!! Ordered both sizes!! Thanks for the HookUp!!
Just ordered a couple of each size, this is one of those things that as soon as I saw it, I said this has to work. Moving from Florida to Southern Ohio in a month or so. Can't wait to give a try on some totally new waters for me.
Man oh man… you are going to sell out of these quick. Love seeing the innovation come to life. As soon as I get a thaw here, this will be my first thing I throw. Great stuff!
That is one incredible looking jig! I looked at the website but couldn't see shipping to anywhere but USA. I'm sure people worldwide would love to purchase this jig. After reading comments I read this was a Mustad hook. I think that's something that should be marketed better and would help sales tremendously.
I definitely will be picking some up! Will definitely help get me the upper hand on the fish in the waters around me that get max pressure every day and I have to disagree with one point you made about there's no way to fish it wrong and there is, it's wrong to not fish it! 😉 Great work Matt!
Hey Matt, I found the channel a few months ago from one of your smallmouth videos you posted. This is an awesome product and I’m looking forward to learning the technique. I’ve always wanted to try it. So glad tomorrow is pay day! Keep up the great videos. Definitely learning quite a bit here that not only will I apply to smallmouth fishing, but other species I target as well
@@MattStefanFishing I’m definitely enjoying going after them more. I grew up fishing panfish, walleye, and pike. I caught my PB smallie 2 years ago bluegill fishing early spring. She weighed 4.16lbs and 19”. That fish is what is making me want to target them more

Super innovative and easy rigging. I can see your scar a little give it time and it will fad. I had to use both white petroleum and bactraban, my scar runs along my right check and somewhat aligns with my chee
cheek. It began just below my right eye. I thought it was from when I got injured while wearing NVGs during a military training scenario.
thanks! its fading a little everyday
Just remember to use Sun screen daily SPF35 or higher, use a buff, hat and sunglasses too. See your dermatologist twice a year.

Lots more coming!
