Finally got to try these out! Pros: these secure the worms like no other. I’ve skipped the hell out of em and threw em in cover to see how the plastic will hold up. They held up very well. This also gives it a more cleaner, compact presentation than an o-ring (or two). Cons: I was getting snagged left and right. The hooks are super sharp, which is great, but making them weedless might not be a bad idea.
I’ll pass on your suggestions. I would suggest trying to “feel” your bait to the bottom, it should land hook point up. Don’t let it sit there too long before you lift up. Thanks again for the feedback.
I like it! Ive caught countless bass on a traditional wacky rig set up and seeing the action with the Wacky Shot makes me believe that it will work nicely…
Ordered mine the day they were released. Looking forward to trying them out. Usually use flick shake to stand out from weightless wacky rigs. Believe this will be even more effective.
@markfisheroutdoors ok so ignore what I said about the hook landing on the bottom and randomly mention it being used as a suspending bait👌🏼 you mentioned to someone else that they need to "feel as it goes down". How does one feel when the hook rests on a branch, twig, stick or whatever else is submerged until to twitch the bait again? That's when it gets snagged. The point is that when the bait sinks and reaches the bottom, the hook is facing down. If there is any vegetation or submerged brush then it's going to get snagged when twitching the bait. In your video it shows the hook landing point down on the bottom, but ey what do I know?? Guess I'm just a completely incompetent angler.
My suggestion would be to pay attention to inside and outside weed edges as well as holes in the weeds. You may find your your doing more pitching than casting and reeling but you might also find you’re doing more catching as well.
You don't use a weight for a wacky rig, that defeats the purpose!! And that screw in keeper is going to rip most soft plastic baits right in half. I know, because I bought that thing and that's exactly what it did. You can't use that thing on a lot of soft plastics especially Yamamoto and googan plastics are too soft to have a screw lock type set up going right into the middle of the bait. You're soft plastic is not going to last long rigged like that, especially if it gets snagged. There's a reason for the o ring, and things like the vmc set up. I threw one of those things out and the thing ripped my plastic clean in half. You can't just keep creating stuff just for the heck of it. Just for the sake of continually creating profit. Not every idea is a good idea, and this is not a good idea.
I can’t disagree with you more! A) the weight placement increases the action of wacky rigged plastics. B) the screw keeper holds baits incredibly well. The baits hold and last longer. C) I use Senkos on it almost exclusively. Both 5” and 4”. D) as for your last point, it’s really not worth responding.
Thanks Jon. I did get your info, congrats on winning! I’ll be sending your Core Tackle products to you on Monday as soon as we get back to school from spring break.

@@markfisheroutdoorsdo you know how well these work with elaztech baits?
Those do look nice and good underwater demo. I'll have to go buy a few packs.
I’m glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching. I’m sure you’ll like the baits.
Core Tackle does it again the think outside of the box and come up with amazing tackle. As always thank you Mark for bringing informative videos.
You’re welcome. Yeah it was cool at the classic when I got to explain to someone the origins of Core Tackle and how innovative they are.

From what I’ve seen and heard it’s going to be a game changer.
@@markfisheroutdoors Ya, it would be nice to not have to wait 30 minutes for my wacky worm to get to 10’!

Yeah me too. I’m thinking this is going to be better.
I like the feature that let's the hook point rest on the bottom.
Wait till you hear how Johnny uses it as a suspending bait with live scope.
Won’t the downward pointing hook increase hangups? Any chance of a weed guard being added?

Yep! I’d use that!
Since you’re a pretty well known pro angler, I could hook you up with a couple if you want.
I feel like I’ve missed a lot of em with this(I’m sure it’s user error)… do you set the hook, or reel into the fish?
Definitely ordering some!
Awesome
Random question does anyone have tips for wacky rig senko for bank fishing in a grassy pond or should I just stick with a Texas rig

Very interesting 👌
Thanks
That is pretty cool
Thanks
Very nice 👍
Thanks
but if i don't care about skipping the old ones will be fine
Sure
I just caught an interrogation from the wife asking me what a charge from core tackle was all about.
Whoops! Just tell her it was essential equipment related to procuring bass.
@@markfisheroutdoors got them in the mail today and caught a 4# in my pond on the first cast. I love em! Team wacky shot!
Nope, landing hook down. It's usless.
Well you should probably tell that to the hundreds of bass the team has caught while testing the prototypes of this bait.
@markfisheroutdoors no doubt, it will catch fish, but a traditional weighted wacky rig will always be more weedless. It always lands hook up.

Has too much of a chance to hook the tounge. And we all know what happens then. I’ll stick with a tungsten nail weight.
How many times do you tongue hook a fish on an un weighted wacky rig?
@@markfisheroutdoors the hook ain’t pointing down either, it’s always pointing upwards, that’s pointing down.
Great video @markfishersoutdoors definitely going to look into getting some
I checked and they are available on the C T website
@@markfisheroutdoors awesome, thank you!
