I love this SO MUCH-my grandmother helped other military wives set their homes up so that they could feel like their houses were home (even when they moved constantly!) and those tips definitely help me create my home, too!
Because my husband moved so much, we are very intentional about making our house a home. I agree with your points (although we love our greys). We bought our forever home in 2020 and went crazy with lighting; bright white in can lights and gentle relaxing lights with lamps and other lighting so we always have options. Homes are so personal but it doesn't mean it can't be comfy for others.
My family and I are getting ready to move from an apartment into a house for the first time, so I'm bookmarking this video for décor tips once we're in! I never would have considered the lightbulbs, but it makes so much sense!
I love this! Especially the part about the lighting in your home. Warm white light is the way to go! It literally makes the space feel a little warmer :)

I really love sending snail mail and have acquired a large amount of unique stationary and postcards, but have never displayed them. I’m going to put some of my favs into some frames to display in my home to add a little more personality to my walls!

Did the Locals community not pan out? I can't seem to find it. :/ Your Substack is also really tied down for the free content, but given the egregious level of trolling you get, I could see why. Locals I thought was the same way though, as far as it's easier to be a tourist and see the content without being able to engage. I'm not willing to pay yet because I want to continue the tour, see what's on offer. Right now honestly, I just wanted to offer some moral support. Keep being the shining light that you are, Abby. The flood is coming for the rest of these current winners pretending you're some sort of "the establishment" figure, and your communities will make a well-decorated ark.
