I have not been raised with religion and currently do not practice any form but have respect for those who do. I’m also what you could call very liberal in most of my values but I agree with many conservative values as well. I do wish for the close community & friendship that religion seems to bring. I really enjoy your content and wish women as a whole could come together to discuss the topics you cover more freely.
Reconnecting with old friends, childhood friends, or parent's kids in the same area is an overlooked way to connect with people you may have already met. Clothes swaps, joint garage sales, walking/workout buddies, book swaps, and devotional studies are super easy things to implement and start with new acquaintances. Even if your closest friends are far away, it's always nice to have a few casual friends in your area!

I’m a Christian and I’ve always had a love for scripture and the things of God and something thats interesting about me is I believe in a faith alone salvation and I’ve seen with a lot of believers my age, that even though we believe similarly on the basics, it can be hard to find someone who is a believer in my camp who also wants to live a clean life of principles and structure , and grow in their faith. I can only control myself though and I’ve been working with the Holy Spirit on being a wife for someone to find who might be looking for someone like me

Thank you for this video Abby. I've been so lonely for years.. telling myself no one would want to be friends with me... I've moved to a new area and have been trying to find a church that works for me. I'm a little shy but trying to branch out a bit more.

I like to volunteer (usually with my church but others venues help too.) I’m not necessarily shy but I’m not outgoing and I’m bad at small talk. When I’m volunteering, people usually approach me and get the conversation ball rolling. I’m usually knowledgeable about whatever I’m volunteering for and that helps me hold up my end of the conversation. Then I feel comfortable much quicker. I’ve made some great, like-minded friends that way.
I needed this! I recently got married and moved to a new city with my husband. Finding friends is hard but we found a church and I’m excited about new friendships!
My family and I plan on moving to another country soon for my first year of college and I have been so worried about making friends. This is very encouraging.

This is great advice, I love it! As a Pagan, it's a bit of a different experience for me. Usually we don't have a church or a house of prayer, our church is nature. At least for me it is, most witches or practitioners or whatever you call yourself, are solitary and work alone. But covens exist and they work the same in theory as church, alot of people get together usually at someone's house or outdoors to practice or do a group ritual or a group meditation etc. However, I noticed in recent years the Pagan community both in person and online has become a cesspool of toxicity and elitism. I practice alone and my best friend who lives in a different state also practices and we work together long distance. The Pagan community has become judgemental, angry, elitist, extremely liberal, rude, hateful I could just go on and on. I believe in God, but I also believe in the feminine aspect which is the Goddess and to say you believe in God or Jesus is a no no and you will be judged for it and bullied relentlessly. Another hot topic is the use of Sage for cleansing and practice, now I love it and I use it daily in my practice. But others find it to be "cultural appropriation" and you have no choice but to believe that too, I have tried to come up with counter arguments politely and respectfully and they bullied me so bad I had to delete entire social media accounts and hide for a month. I wish for people of other beliefs it was this simple, I'm sure you and your friends are lovely and if I ever met you in person, which I would love to, you wouldn't judge me or hate me for being Pagan. You seem so kind and open to everyone, thank you for this video I will try to do some things suggested here. ❤

I wish I was able to make friends without always being the one needing to initiate hanging out or talking. Maybe the friendship isn't mutual but I can't seem to find someone :(

I love this! I'm very introverted and prefer to be by myself, however the best friends I have in my life don't share the same values as me and that has started to effect our relationship. I decided to put myself into activities at my church and to also start up conversations with ladies my age, it's so amazing to see myself open up more and more these days. I'm so happy and thank God for my church family and the amazing ladies that I get to spend time with. I also love coming to this channel and knowing each time that I'm going to hear amazing advice that aligns with my life and beliefs, thank you for all you do Abby! ❤️

Great tips! I’ve found now that I live in a bigger city, it’s hard to get close to people. Too easy to just blend into the crowd and be anonymous. I can be guilty of this. Gots to be intentional.

Can I get some advice from the classic crew? I am very poor. I love dresses and skirts, and pretty clothes, but I cannot afford them. I want to look classic, but comfortable. I am unable to work, I have mental, neurological, and physical disabilities. So I get awarded government money. I volunteer, so I pay my debts to society. How can I look pretty and classic on an extremely tight budget?
I buy most of my clothes from Goodwill! I've found some really pretty dresses and skirts there. Layering pieces, like cardigans, are also a staple in my wardrobe. God bless!

My church is mostly elderly people but we still have a great community. I wish I could get more young people to come to my church because my best friend and I are the only teenagers there.
Yes, that can be difficult! Are there any other churches in the area that have a younger demographic? Might be worth taking a look!

Can I get advice from the classic crew again? People know I'm disabled. I do go to church, and volunteer, and get involved, but being disabled, I cannot have children, and men turn the other cheek. I need to have some friends to study the Bible with, and have healthy fun. It's tough, because I have communication issues, and friends are hard to find. People don't understand me. Advice?
Maybe you can speak with the elders of your church so they can help you with maybe having a talk about the difficulties of being disabled and through this talk people can get to be more understanding and hopefully more open to not looking at you as just being disabled.

Please do not feel like you can't get friends just because you're disabled. Getting new friends is generally hard for most people, I know this from experience. But I'm sure you'll find some since you're so active in your community. Best of luck!

This makes me think that I should stop telling my 11 year old daughter that women suck! I used to have a decent amount of female friends, but it turned out most of them didn't share my values, so over the years I've whittled it down to about 2. I feel like women tend to be so emotional and catty, that it's just always been hard for me to identify with them and really make connections with them. My husband isn't outgoing and so he isn't helpful in that regard. It's been interesting watching my daughter navigate the treacherous waters of female friendship. It definitely isn't easy at any age, and I often find myself telling her that many of these catty girls grow up to be catty women. Perhaps I shouldn't be so negative, but that's been my experience. In general I prefer hanging out and talking to men, who to my mind are so much more honest and straightforward. However, this almost inspires me to give women another chance. Hey there! I think some of your problems with women might be due to a thing called “internalized misogyny”. It means that society has conditioned you to believe that all women are vapid/shallow/catty/emotional, and that meaningful female friendships won’t bring you happiness. This is not true! There are so many cool women out there who would be wonderful friends! Don’t let these messages get in between you and some wonderful relationships. Women are amazing!
