Would love to see you season with/ dry age with furikaki. Its a great Asian ingredient (also, talking about furikaki, if you have never tried Hawaiian hurricane popcorn, I HIGHLY recommend it.)
I know Guga uses Indonesian-brand Indomie for this video, but to be fair, Malaysian-brand instant noodles are incredibly hard to find in the US (while I was living there, the only time I got my hands on a pack of Maggi noodles with Malaysian flavor was after visited someone who just brought some stuff from Malaysia, and Maggi's not even a Malaysian brand). Also, a lot of Indonesian restaurants I've been to include chicken that's marinated with Indonesian thick soy sauce then grilled. Great combination of sweet and savory.

try the compound butter without the chili sauce and the soy sauce. That things contain much sugar, so it will caramelize and may taster little bit bitter.
when guga said that indomie from malaysia i little bit upset but then when i saw guga put the indomie noodle on the top of the rice i approve it. Cuz lot of indonesian people eat rise along with indomie noodle to get double carbohydrate so our stomach is full for long enough.
Hi guga, first of all, hello from Indonesia But that instant noodle, was Indonesian like the names Indo Mie ( mie = noodle in bahasa ) Goodjob as always afterall, wish you best of luck
Indomie is Indonesian and the seasonings are Kichap Manis or sweet dark soy sauce, shallot oil, Indofood chilli sauce and finally their proprietary seasoning powder which I understand is made from fish powder.
Nice, I bet the sauce packet from the Nissan beef teriyaki noodles we have in America would be amazing as well, since it's similar but paired with beef.
One thing I realized with indomie, the sambal quickly loses it's spice if you heat it up and cook it. Also yeah, I knew butter doesn't go well with indomie goreng. I tried a splash of milk with it before and it doesn't work for me lol

Just picked up three dozen last week here in Montreal for $2.44/doz, Canadian dollars.
@@barchamthey’re 7$ in Ontario 😅
When your channel is awash in videos featuring Wagyu fillets and endless dry age experiments, a gross of eggs probably counts as a trifling expense.
Compared to what he usually do for side dish I'd say an instant noodle topped with egg is dirt cheap
I can't fathom how cool it is to be gugas friend or nephew lol. These videos are so funny. Keep it up guga!
Hey Guga, thanks for your great videos.
After watching your videos, I have three requests for future videos:
- Please try some other cattle breeds than wagyu and American beef.
- How do you clean all your pans and other cooking ustensils so they continue to be so shiny ?
- Please cook a foie gras in a terrine using sous vide.
And yes I'll repeat those requests often. ;)
Guga:make Malaysia MSG steak
Also Guga:use Indomie
Me:Bruhhh for real?you use indonesia instant noodles and call it malaysian MSG💀
come on man get mamee chef or something for malaysian instant noodles 😭
Waw, that "Malaysian" MSG turned out to be a good seasoning for a steak. Next time try Indomie Rendang or Indomie Mie Goreng Aceh version.
yeah, feel those burns 😉
the aceh, rendang, kebab rendang, ayam pop, etc is exclusive for only SEA
Emotional Damage caught me off guard…hilarious!!!!
Keep up the great work guys…much continued success!!!
@stevenhe and @mrnigelng in the same Guga video!
Just a suggestion for steaks, try letting it marinade in sake or beer, then season it with salt pepper and garlic
as a filipino watching all i know "indo mie" is from Indonesia and i love that noodle 🤤
proud of fellow South east asian 🤣
Rice + Mi Goreng Pancit Canton + Egg = College days Power Meal.
Lol
Leo got me surprised when he mentioned "laing" and "adobo". i'm a pinoy (filipino) and im proud that people around the world recognizes our food. thanks guga!
He said Latin, not laing. Adobo also exists in other countries.
I understand your confusion.. adobar is a spanish word which means marinade.. and a lot of former spanish colonies borrowed that word..
Adobo spice is a carribean spice blend
Adobo Sauce is a mexican sauce
Adobo Dish is a Filipino Dish
Funny how the same word is used completely differently in different countries and has different uses..🤣
You should try the Dutch version of MSG, it's a yellow powder called Aromat!
There’s MSG in Aromat. So addictive
as a Malaysian, that isn't our product. its from Indonesia and we love it!
Hey Guga, I have a simple chicken sandwich recipe that literally came to me in a dream with you and chef Hiro in it. It is a Nashville hot chicken sandwich but the pickles are replaced with kimchi... maybe it's good? I'm not sure if Nashville hot has a mayonaisse sauce like most chicken sandwiches but i'm pretty sure it had Kewpie mayo in it.
I've watched so many of your videos, so many experiments, so many 10 out of 10 must trys. I think it's time for a compilation video of your TOP 3 BEST WAYS to eat steak from all the different ways you've made it. Guga, if you can choose any steak, any cut, any way of cooking it... which would be your TOP 3?? Need a video!
It's Indomie, not Malaymie. Come on guys 🤣🤣
If Indonesian netizens watch this, they're gonna be mad
Guga, careful with attack from indonesian. But its actually a good idea to use indomie msg, its really is good 🤤🤤
🤣🤣
Lol true
I'm an Indonesian, and I love Indomie, but I remember particularly a couple years ago when the pandemic hits, I was short on cash, got fired from my job, and aside from trying to stay home, that thing is the only accessible food that I can afford and enjoy, I ate nothing but indomie, 4 packs a day, for 10 months straight till all the lockdowns had stopped and I got new job, I still eat it occasionally just as usual, but not as often cause the sodium is insane 😂
Anyways, love the indomie appearance and love the video ❤
I would recommend doing a Jamaican jerked steak
Would love to see you season with/ dry age with furikaki. Its a great Asian ingredient (also, talking about furikaki, if you have never tried Hawaiian hurricane popcorn, I HIGHLY recommend it.)
It is crack in a bag. Loved having it in Hawaii
IS INDOMIE NOT MALAYMIE
It's IT'S not IS
I know Guga uses Indonesian-brand Indomie for this video, but to be fair, Malaysian-brand instant noodles are incredibly hard to find in the US (while I was living there, the only time I got my hands on a pack of Maggi noodles with Malaysian flavor was after visited someone who just brought some stuff from Malaysia, and Maggi's not even a Malaysian brand).
Also, a lot of Indonesian restaurants I've been to include chicken that's marinated with Indonesian thick soy sauce then grilled. Great combination of sweet and savory.
indomie is so good that it's basically the household staple across the entire SEA region
I love your shows do have to say I only started to watch you because of Uncle Roger, and I'm really glad he introduced me to you thx for the fun and great content you give us , and now I feel that I need to come up with a steak sauce for you to try lol thx again
Judging by the thumbnail is gonna be instant noodle seasoning
Guga saying "inexpensive" while talking about a side dish with an egg in it 🤣
This is such a chronological placeholder joke
how is indomie is malaysian? omg
Guga is one of my favorites from the Uncle Roger Cinematic Universe. My mans is built like a komodo dragon and cry at little chilli, hes wonderful
Greeting from Indonesia,
For the first time in my life, seeing someone being 'bullied' never been this fun.
I am sorry, but Guga is a kind of nice guy.
Don't get offended, my fellow Indonesian never mean any harm to anyone. They're just making fun.
I believed they are also feel entertained by Guga's misunderstood mistakes.
So one way or another, this video is so much entertaining. Especially the comment section
Damn guga if i’m being honest, as an indonesian, i wish you’d done more research and fact checking. Specifically when it comes to indonesia/malaysia, these two countries have a pretty rough relationship and history regarding culture, food, etc being mixed up 😢 i hope that you’ll make sure this wont happen again. Literally can spark an internet and cultural war between indonesians and malaysians :’-)
As a Malaysian I have to agree with you. We don’t claim Indomie to be ours at all 😢 but I would have an even bigger if he said it was Singaporean 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
do a TAJIN seasoning steak please, that would be amazing
sorry dislike to this video, you know u makes mistake but you're not change the thumbnail
shame on you
So cool!!! From Malaysia!!!
Indo Mie Mi Goreng is the God tier of instant noodles. FUIYOH! This was like my clutch food in my teenage years.
Ayo, I thought Uncle Roger was gonna be a guest and try the steak out together. He was only cameo...
My Japanese exchange room mate ate all my ramen in college, but he made up for it by giving me a bunch of the high grade ramen that comes with 8 flavor packs that his parents sent him. Such good stuff!
Damn. My wife and I have considered these noodles a favorite for years, and have kept that little secret to ourselves. Now that this video is out, everyone will want to order them and they'll always be sold out now.
(without clicking the video) the moment I saw the title and looked at the thumbnail, straight away I say "pundek tu kicap indomie doooo...mampos la kene attack dengan indo" hahaha when I press play...there you go INDOMIE.... hahaha goodluck guga with your comment section...to our fellow neighbour, we malaysian never claim your indomie but we fuckin love it...I would rather pick indomie over other instant noodle including our own brands... hahahaha asli, spesial, cabe hijo, rendang, soto you named it!!!
I'm a proud malaysian and we do eat indomie's a lot. But this product is actually Indonesian. Have to give credit where it's due. Malaysia can't take this.
it`s okay guga, all people make a mistakes or miss information. i`m from Indonesia and that instan noodle is from Indonesia. just like the name of indomie "indo" means Indonesia and "mie" means noodle simple as that. and indomie is masterpiece noodle from Indonesia. i apriciate you for make a video with indomie and that`s okay for your mistake or miss information about indomie. i intered to you try another indonesian food dish for side dish guga, but be aware indonesian food also has a loot spicy food, trying cook misro that tapioka with red sugar or brown sugar.
When I lived in Malaysia they did have the BIGGEST ramen noodle selection this American has ever seen 😂
The sweetness leon tasted i think is from the kecap manis from the seasoning, sweet soy sauce made from black soy, we use it a lot in indonesian kitchen
people say nasi goreng is Indonesian national dish, but everybody know instant noodle on top of rice is the true national dish.
try the compound butter without the chili sauce and the soy sauce. That things contain much sugar, so it will caramelize and may taster little bit bitter.
when guga said that indomie from malaysia i little bit upset but then when i saw guga put the indomie noodle on the top of the rice i approve it. Cuz lot of indonesian people eat rise along with indomie noodle to get double carbohydrate so our stomach is full for long enough.
>shows Indomie
>mentioned Malaysia
"oh no..."
Hi guga, first of all, hello from Indonesia
But that instant noodle, was Indonesian like the names Indo Mie ( mie = noodle in bahasa )
Goodjob as always afterall, wish you best of luck
Do you have a video if you have done it before or have not but dry aged steak in that mushroom paste type that is used in beef Wellington?
Thanks guga for the idea...
Next dry age in belacan (shrimp paste)
I can sit there and taste test all the steaks all day long! Yummo!
My brother's girlfriend showed me this ramen a while ago at their place and it has been my favourite ever since, by far 🙌
Guga eats his steak with his head up and to right. Every time.😂 Like he is going into a trance.
One thing I realized with indomie, the sambal quickly loses it's spice if you heat it up and cook it.
Also yeah, I knew butter doesn't go well with indomie goreng. I tried a splash of milk with it before and it doesn't work for me lol
Hei Guga....have you ever tried salt-baking ? I would like to see you try it with different proteins and marinades.
Guga knew how to become viral in indo, just trigger the people slightly and they will flooding the comment section 🤣
that side dish sir, is what i eat every night while watching guga videos
when I saw the result - immediately pressed like! this is awesome!
I know yall bout that food but... I really like them lights Guga got on his wall in the background. 👍🏻👍🏻
The thing about Guga is, he tries an A5 ribeye and says "That's AMAZING guys"! Then the next episode, he tries ramen over rice with a fried egg and says "That's AMAZING guys"!
i really was hoping in the end of the video that guga were joking about indomie is from malaysia. but well nobody is perfect. Great video as always guga
That man said if you throw I’ll catch 😅😂😂😂😂
Woat tha hail... even african knowing Indomie is from Indonesia.. Haaiyaaa..
