Sorry about that! I do appreciate the input though! It's great having someone correct me with explanations! Honestly thank you! Well minus the adding more things to fix to my list... But I appreciate it Slick!
Yup and by you altering the way it was originally engineered by the manufacturer, your risking you life and the existence of that building and your bikes. Please buy the correct length thermocouple and remount it in the exact same spot with the factory bracket!!! 👍🍺
You have to measure the original factory thermal couple the length of it and they sell all different thermocouples and all the different lengths . Get the proper length thermal couple.
Still in the process of narrowing that down. I'm fairly certain I've figured out 3 potential areas. It's the manifold block at the end of the discharge tube from the Air End. It connects to an air tube (1.5") that runs up to the oil seperator. Trying to see if I can find parts (gaskets/o rings) before ripping them apart but having a hard time getting a manual/diagram.
And i hope that’s a bimetal t-stat and not a mercury one, because if it’s mercury, you better level it , if it’s bi-metal, you better clean it and blow the dust off of it
You know you had the flame deflector pointing in the wrong direction when it should’ve been pointing towards your thermocouple I don’t know if that was just a mistake in your video, but that could be the problem
I'll be ordering up longer ones. Does the gas feed tube size matter too? I know the new one is substantially smaller than the OG. Seems to be working, but wasn't sure if that was as important as location.

I’m a union commercial HVAC technician, for 21 years now- you gave me alot of anxiety watching this!!! 😂😂😂😂😂

Added to the list! Thanks SLICK!
Good work😅
Thanks!
OK, I see you got the flame deflector pointing in the right direction now I was commenting too soon!! 😂😂😂
Just trying to diagnose this one and get it functioning. I assume the deflector just guides the flame to the thermocoupler?
Got to have heat!!!!
Thanks TBone!

I will be swapping them over again when I can get the right parts.
Any word on the leak in the portable compressor?

It is. As far as I can tell. I can see little bits of the coil spring on the Tstat.
What could possibly go wrong?
Not always right, but it is working. I'll be ordering up some new parts and trying to get it back to stock location/brackets.

For whatever reason the deflector wasn't allowing the flame to light at all.
Do not change the position of that pilot bracket jury rigging it by yourself!!!

😁✌👍👊💯
Thanks James!

It's on the list now! Thanks for chiming in. I clearly have minimal experience with this.
