Wow do I owe you a thank you. I just drug my old "REDDY HEATER 55" from our garage at the back of our property out to use in the House garage and when i plugged it in after filling it nothing...... I figured it sat to long so I looked at a couple of box stores and was just about to go get one and thought.......UA-cam? more than likely some kind of trouble shooting video. Your video more than likely has saved several people money that thought this was a big ordeal to mess with. I swear UA-cam has more valuable lessons than college ever did.
Thanks for the video, very clear, just got my heater working after being sat for 20 years. Had no idea what was inside these things, but just needed to free the vanes and set the air pressure and it came back to life immediately. Thanks, from the UK!
I had got a new one from a local store for $20 it was a return the only thing that was wrong with it was a clamp was in the way of the fan I really like those heaters thanks for the video
Just bought a new Master heater today. Works great for the 5 minutes that I used it. Just wanted to see how exactly they work. Pretty much like my forced air oil furnace. Thanks for sharing your knowledge sir. 😊
Thank you! I have a Master 135,000 btu. Use it like you said, get up to temp, then try to maintain with woodstove. Never knew what was involved, thought these were complicated machines. Nice to know I can trouble shoot & repair instead of opting for other avenues. Thanks again for the time you put into the video!

Good informative video! I Just fixed a 70,000 btu Reddy Heater a couple of years ago using UA-cam. It's long in the tooth and I need to work on it again. Thanks for the memory jogger!
Thanks for the video. I have a two-year-old 140k BTU master. My pump pressure is supposed to be 6.6 and I'm running at about 3.4. This one comes with the gauge. The thing hasn't even been used that much. The adjustment screw is all the way in. I'm going to pull that out and check the spring and ball behind it. Then I will wrap the manifold bolts with teflon tape.
I noticed a kerosene smell when I first got mine, because I never knew about changing the pump pressure to make it burn cleaner. Now that I know how to adjust them to burn cleaner, I switched to burning diesel instead. I don't get any smell with diesel like I do with kerosene and diesel puts out more BTUs than kerosene and is also alot cheaper. So now by using diesel with the pump running at the proper pressure, I have a nice hot, clean burning heater with no smoke or smell. I delute the diesel with a diesel fuel treatment or little alcohol. I also treat the fuel with Seafoam during the off season and it stays fresh.
Good video, clearly explaining operation. I had to do lots of web surfing to figure mine out some years ago. They truly are a simple design and like you said, parts are readily available. Good job.

I really appreciated this video! I saw these when I was a kid, but I never owned or ran one. I received an old one from a neighbor this summer. Now I'm confident that I can tune it up safely to take the edge off while I'm taking on a few garage projects this winter.
A very helpful video indeed. I have one which burns dirty and although the spark looks good across the electrode gap the fuel doesn't ignite very well and the end plate doesn't glow at all then it cuts out after 15 minutes. I'm thinking the air pump isn't making enough pressure to supply enough fuel and to get the fuel spraying a nice promised pattern to ignite well. Good video you did, thank you.
Great job and great information. I learned something new today, thank you. Yes sir, I agree, we installed a mini split unit in our shop and love it. Thanks for sharing my friend.
I wish I had installed a mini-split years ago! So efficient, out of the way and can even be controlled on my phone by WIFI! Much more efficient than Kereosen, Propane, or a traditional electric heater. Thanks for watching @Raley's Small Engines
great video bud, i really learned a thing or 2 troubleshooting mine, the knowledge that you have provide, ill recommend this video as a "1 stop shop" on the inter workings of turbo heaters
I must have missed this video in your series. Have never seen a Torpedo Kerosene heater before. Very simple gadget. Another very enjoyable 'how to' video. 🙂🚜🐻 Bear Queensland Oztralia. Love your Work.
I should probably check my heater over ! Had it for 20+ years and never had it apart! I’ve used it almost every winter at some point …usually just a tank or 2! Great informative video!
I've had a procome where the ignitor was tilted away from the nozzle. Removing the mounting bracket from the chamber re- bending this bracket did the trick!!
+@glennsvoboda6602 Great info! Thanks for watching and taking the time to share this tip! Here’s a link to other videos I’ve posted that you may find useful. ua-cam.com/play/PL5_ZXmQpcjpac4UV8OW8g-IWVCR8tqy79.html&si=RKfnQL-PAcZFy67a
Heat is very important to me .i want to be comfortable in my shop .when working in the shop if your not comfortable ....you will makes mistakes 😅 thanks for sharing brother 😀 🙏
You’re welcome my friend. I think I’ve tried just about every heating option there is available at some point. I had a wood stove in my shop for years but it wasn’t convenient for a quick repair and took up a lot of space. I gave up on kerosene because of cost and smell. Currently I have an 18k mini-split that works very well down to about 20f with a 220 electric heater backup. If it gets really cold or I have the door open I have a 30k forced air propane heater. This is also great if I want to heat the shop quickly. The mini-split also does fantastic in the summer when I need AC.
great video! It gave me an idea of what to check. I can't get mine to glow it was running fine and ended up ringing off my fuel adjuster trying to make it glow. maybe the little black blades are stuck.
My ready heater stopped working about 20 years ago, still has fuel in it. I am pretty sure mine will have the spark plug, I am thinking that is the problem, This summer i am going to drain the old fuel out and start trouble shooting, Thanks for the video this will help me in fixing mine.. I know making videos is time consuming but i really appreciate them.
I love how you took the time to really explain in detail everything what you were doing about the heater because the photo cell I did not know what that was for. My problem is that once it runs and there's no smoke, I'll put the cover on it and start it up. THEN IT SMOKES LIKE CRAZY ⁉️ Now it's fixed, the air hose had a little crack or leak at the end.
this was the best how to video of these torpedo heater I've seen yet. I'm having trouble with my DXH190HD Dewalt not burning properly even though the pressure gauge(8.5 psi) is exactly where it should be, even though it had been burning very well. Then all of a sudden when I turned it on and day and it began to smoke and the burn was not smooth, like more and then less and lots of smoke. This was the first time this did this to me. Wonder if it is the fuel, for the fuel is somewhere about 3 years old, maybe 4. But I heard that Kerosene is very good for at least 5 and can stay good for longer.
I would not rely on Kerosene that is more than a year or two old. It does last longer than gas or other fuels but does degrade as it ages. I would also pull the nozzle off and clean it very well. It likely something stock in the nozzle.
Thank you so much for making this very detailed and efficient video!! Really helped me understand what’s happening in my 1960’s 140k Sears heater. Still runs, but very stinky; gonna swap out the kerosene for starters. Ps; the last part in the vid about heat sources is exactly the thoughts we’re working thru now! Will probably just do the mini-split like you suggest. Stay warm! Jason
Glad i came across your channel.... i have one of these heater and just about where the fire 🔥 blaze i use a circle saw cut it out and installed a 4 inch metal pipe as a exhaust and install a duck fan so i sucks the exhaust out and works fantastic heat my barn
you installed the outlet filter backwards. This is a problem since the passage for the pressure chamber can read correctly. The screened portion of the filter faces rearward.
I’m surprised no one else has noticed this before now. I realized this while I was editing the video and took it back apart and turned it around. Good catch. 😁👍
Great video. I have a old 150 lawn boy from the early 90s still runs good.Do you thank the newer ones will last for year?I'm looking at getting 1 for the small garage around 80k btu.
Pretty much anything new is not going to outlast the ones from years ago. I have found that 30k btu is just about perfect for a small two car shop in southern Ohio. Anything bigger is overkill and a waste of fuel.
Great video and i checked to blades in the pump are working fine, but my heater will not ignite. It has a two prong arch igniter that appears to working fine, lots of spark but the fuel does will not lite. This was new kerosene and I can't even get it to light when using a small hand torch put down by the spark. Any ideas?
Kerosene or Diesel will not light or flare up the same way gasoline does. If you put some on a rag or cotton ball in a safe location it should light with no problem. If it fails to light on a rag or cotton ball you may have gotten bad fuel or fuel with water. If it does light then you more than likely have a pump issue or a clogged nozzle.
Mr Baldeagle242, I have two heaters like these. One that is probably 250K BTU and the other one is maybe 100-150K BTU. The 250 stopped working two years ago and I pushed it to the side and started using the smaller unit. Late in the winter last year the smaller one started cutting off every five minutes or so. And it just got worse the more I ran it. It got to the point where it wouldn't run over a few seconds. So this year I started looking at videos to figure out how to fix them. I bought a gauge last year with a filter kit I think, but never used it. After several videos, I tackled them with success. Both are currently working. The opportunity I have is the larger one is actually blowing a feathered flame out the end of the heater. I tried adjusting the pressure without much of a change. It doesn't during operation so I'm not sure what could cause this. It seems I have seen some of these that done the same thing. Regardless, If you have any suggestions as to what would cause this, I would appreciate the help. Currently using the smaller unit. If I can get my shop to about 50° i can usually make it OK. Thanks

I’ve given up on these have bought multiple brands they all work for a few hours and quit and never run again. The dewalt one I have now won’t rob of the filter is pushed too far in but still will only run about an hour and dies good video though I’ve always wondered if it’s a vacuum or pressure gauge needed to assist the pressure.

The next time somebody brings up the green new deal or something about electric cars or any of that horse nonsense, they should go out and talk to folks who live in a cold climate and tell them exactly how these green new deal bogus works. I am absolutely 100% surprised that most of these people who are making some of these rules and regulations have never stepped foot in any place or have even seen snow. Let alone any cold weather.I enjoyed the video very much.
I like the gauge and the link you provided for it. I notice you have attachments on the gauge. Do I need them? Could you link the attachments for the gauge also. Thanks!!!
I got a remington brand but can't get it too ignite. Replaced hoses and fuel filter, also have spark and good pressure. Also took apart the nozzle and cleaned it. Any ideas what else it could be?
Hey there my 150000 btu Dayton works great until a few day ago my problem was I have a sticking bearing in the electric motor and I would spray WD-40 to free up the bearings so the fan would spin obviously it eventually gummed up the vanes some how and I would have to clean the rotor up with brake cleaner , well the other day I assembled it as I done in the past and as I turn the fan to see how it would spin and I heard crunching I must of installed the parts in wrong anyway have u ever replaced the bearing in the electric motor ? They are expensive motors to replace rather tinker with replacing the bearings first ?
I’ve never replaced the bearings in one. I’ve been lucky enough to have a few spare motors when I needed one. I’d have to pull it apart and look at it to see if they are replaceable.
Good video! I have a question, that pressure rating to look for, 4.7, is that standard for all those heaters or do they all have their own preferred pressure setting? Thanks
Thanks for the video! My All Pro 55,000 runs for about 20 to 30 seconds, then billows smoke and shuts off. It never gets to glowing red in the front. I am thinking it is a bad photocell. What are your thoughts? Thanks!
I couldn't get mine to work consistently. I followed someone's advice (from youtube somewhere) and created a gap between the cover and base (towards the back). It made the heater work wonderfully. Can you explain why that was the case?
I can't even get 3psi out of mine. I've replaced everything except the motor. My diagnosis is that the motor isn't spinning fast enough. I'm getting a gauge to read the motor speed to confirm.
Best vid I've seen o n these. Thanks. PS, just went down to shop and got my 235K heater fixed, was blowing too much fuel, turned screw down and not throwing flame anymore but still smokes when turns off, but I can live with that. Maybe better when I get winter diesel in it ?
Diesel puts out more heat but puts out more fumes. Kerosene is a better choice for areas with limited ventilation or areas where fumes can me an issue. Both smell, kerosene is just slightly better.
Good video Don't mean to be a comment troll. But that top lid is also gonna be subjective as to the fuel enjoyment once you put that top lid back on that's gonna change the way your burn pattern is just because it has to draw the air through the back of the heater versus from everywhere I don't know if you mention that later on I didn't watch the whole thing so if you did my apologies
I have a master heater in my garage right now with e1 code, so im going to take your advice amd check it out, any other suggestions u might have for me would be appreciated
I put my inside a box with proper ventilation, cool of fan and chimney tubes and elbows now i can barely hear the heater, down side now the heater is not portable. The heater and the cool off fan are in 2 thermostat so i dont have to worrying about on or off
@@baldeagle242 i come to ur video becuase i wand to service my heater and was very helpful thank u, you make a very good point about if the garage is attach my is detach and i put 4 oz of 99% alcohol per gallon is been working good for me into know but i think just need service
Great detailed video. I had the pump disc crack when I started mine the other day. Opened it up and it was in multiple pieces. I replaced the disc and now when I try to start it. I have to give the fan blade a push to get it to start turning. What would you recommend? Thanks....Dave
It will work just fine with a timer. The main concern is that it doesn’t get turned towards something when it’s off and then kick on when no one is around. You can also purchase a thermostat the plugs inline and will turn the main power on and off at a preset temperature. 👇 www.amazon.com/dp/B001EA5ZCI/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_CNP80FG896FE68ABBQ5C?linkCode=ml2&tag=eagle0f1-20
I have a master mh-75t-Kira 75000 btu that i have used for about 6 months and now it will not FIRE. Do you have any idea what i should look at first . Thank you.
Mine is the Master brand silent drive system. Not the exact same, but I am sure it's very similiar. I use it almost everyday for a couple hours. It worked great, then the last time it ignited for a few seconds then went out. Now when I try to turn it on I get a loud Grinding sound. I cleaned the photo cell, same result. New fuel this season within the last month. It is only about 1 year old. Any thoughts? Thank you for any help.
That’s correct. Turning the adjustment clockwise tightens the spring to hold the check ball closed longer effectively increasing the pressure required to open it.
I have a 130,000 btu remington its a bit much for the garage. Can i turn the pressure down to get less heat if it dosent start smoking? Ive run kerosine diesel and jet fuel in it. The diesel seems to be the cleanest burning in mine. Kerosine is much more expensive than diesel. Jet fuel actually runs hottest I just happen to get some from work. I never did not adjust the pressure changing fuel types but I like the fuel options. Mine It seems to use a lot of fuel though and Id like to adjust the temp drop before it comes back on so it dosent cycle so often. Just a thought if someone has older fuel in their unit and beleive thats why its burning dirty smoking some adding some fresh fuel on top especially jet will bring up the cetane level so it runs cleaner then run fresh after that. Just a way to use up the old stuff Fuel aint cheap.
No, it will pulse on and off and create a lot of fumes. There is a narrow range of “acceptable’ adjustments on a given heater. I'd suggest selling it and replacing it with one closer sized for your area. I always tell people to go smaller than they think they will need. It may run longer, but it will use less fuel overall, and it will burn cleaner because you're not getting the inevitable fumes every time it fires up. If you're stuck with the larger heater, your best option is to open a door or window until you're able to replace it.
Great video! Have one of these thats probably 20+ years old, use it in my shop. In good ol California 🤮 I just paid $70 for 5gal of kerosene! Do you run diesel in yours? 5$ a gal for some diesel would be better than $15gal for kerosene!
Some of them will run on diesel but they tend to smoke and smell more than kerosene. I know people will run kerosene in heaters that are not designed for it but I’ve never tried it myself.
My Reddy 55K does not come on at all. Jumped across the fan motor and it worked fine and drew fuel from the tank. Jumped across the electric igniter to see if it would come on and blew the fuse. replaced the fuse. Pulled the the photo eye, cleaned it, looked ok, still nothing. PC board is pretty simple, looks ok, no scorch marks. What should I check?
My heater seems to be running on a misfire sequence. I had to replace the rubber hoses. Any idea? I was told the kerosene maybe bad but it came right from the station pump last month.
You may have something floating around in the nozzle that momentarily blocks the fuel flow. We did get into that in this video but they can be removed and cleaned pretty easily.
Awesome video and thanks for taking the time to make it. In your opinion what would be the best psi that you have seen for a 140000 btu heater to run at
There should be a tag or sticker on the heater itself. This will be the best setting for your particular heater. If the tag is missing or unreadable you should be able to google it.

Error codes can vary depending on the specific model of your space heater. However, in general, an error code L C on a master space heater could indicate a problem with the combustion system or the flame sensor. Here are some possible solutions to try: Check for fuel supply: Ensure that there is an adequate supply of fuel to the heater. Make sure the fuel valve is open and the fuel line is not blocked. Clean or replace the air filter: A clogged or dirty air filter can impede proper combustion. Remove the filter and clean it according to the manufacturer's instructions. If the filter is damaged or excessively dirty, replace it with a new one. Inspect the burner and combustion chamber: Check for any obstructions or debris in the burner or combustion chamber. Use a soft brush or compressed air to clean out any dirt or debris that may be affecting the combustion process. Clean the flame sensor: The flame sensor is responsible for detecting the presence of a flame. Over time, it can accumulate dirt or carbon buildup, which can cause the heater to display an L C error code. Carefully remove the flame sensor and clean it using a soft cloth or fine-grit sandpaper. Reinstall the sensor and ensure it is properly positioned. Check the igniter: The igniter is responsible for igniting the fuel in the combustion chamber. If the igniter is faulty or not working properly, it can result in an L C error code. Inspect the igniter for any damage or wear. If necessary, replace it with a new one according to the manufacturer's instructions. Reset the heater: Some space heaters have a reset function that can clear error codes. Refer to the user manual or manufacturer's instructions to locate the reset button and follow the steps to reset the heater. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it is recommended to consult the user manual or contact the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. They will have specific troubleshooting steps and advice tailored to your model of space heater. Make sure you have the model and serial number if you choose this route. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I home to see you around on future videos.

Check the photocell. It may be getting enough light to run with the top off but not when it’s on. This is assuming something isn’t hitting the fan or slowing it down.
mine fires up and runs for about a min then starts to smoke pretty heavy, it will ignite again bout a min later. Then repeats the cycle. What do you recommend?
There are a few things that might cause it to do that. First, make sure you have fresh fuel with no water in it. Second, make sure the tank is clean and the pump isn't sucking rust or dirt off the button of the tank. Third, check to make sure the photocell is working. (it probably wouldn't restart if it weren't.) Forth, make sure the motor turns freely and isn't slowing down. If it is sticking, you may need to clean the pump. If all that checks out ok, I will put a pressure gauge on it. If the pressure drops before it shuts off, you probably have a clogged fuel inlet. If the pressure raises very slightly before it shuts off, you may have a clogged nozzle. It could be other things, but that should point you in a direction that will help you to pinpoint the issue. Good luck with it. Let me know what you find. Thanks for watching. 🦅🇺🇸
@@bigworm6635 That’s an excellent point. I've never had that happen on a heater but have a few times on small engine equipment. Thanks for your input. 😁👍
Thanks for the run down on these. one question though. At what point(s) do you suspect the fault(s) could be or do reside with the control board? I got a small 55k Ready.
Depending on the model you have it may have a fuse. Start there and confirm input power. Some units hale leds on them that will flash a code. Without more specifics it’s difficult to give much more information than this without going overboard with generalities.
This will run on a 110 volt generator but I would NOT recommend running a heater like this inside a residential dwelling. These heaters can put off a lot of carbon monoxide and the fumes would be overwhelming. (And they are loud!) If I were you I would look into a more simplistic heater that runs on propane or kerosene that does not require a power source and has an oxygen sensors to shut it down if the air becomes unsafe. Something line a heater buddy or similar propane option would be less expensive than a generator/torpedo heater combination and provide a much quieter and safer alternative. There are single and double burner options. The double burner has the same lower setting options as the single burner with a third setting for colder areas or larger areas. amzn.to/3zN1Yf4

Just put all new parts in it fire's tight up !! Thank you for giving a awesome video!!! Enjoy the B.T.Ynot . STAY WARM AND SAFE !!
I really appreciated this video! I saw these when I was a kid, but I never owned or ran one. I received an old one from a neighbor this summer. Now I'm confident that I can tune it up safely to take the edge off while I'm taking on a few garage projects this winter.
Good video. I’ve never used one before but own one my brother in- law left at my house. I feel a little more comfortable trying to start it up.
Thank you
Great job and great information.
Thank you. 😁👍
I must have missed this video in your series. Have never seen a Torpedo Kerosene heater before. Very simple gadget. Another very enjoyable 'how to' video. 🙂🚜🐻 Bear Queensland Oztralia. Love your Work.
Thank you, sir. I appreciate you taking the time to watch. 😁👍
I should probably check my heater over ! Had it for 20+ years and never had it apart! I’ve used it almost every winter at some point …usually just a tank or 2!
Great informative video!
Thank you! With a little maintenance and clean fuel they will run a very long time. 😁👍
I've had a procome where the ignitor was tilted away from the nozzle. Removing the mounting bracket from the chamber re- bending this bracket did the trick!!

Good info, those are great little shop heaters, I have a propane one now.
Let us know how it works out. Thanks for watching. 🦅🇺🇸
I love how you took the time to really explain in detail everything what you were doing about the heater because the photo cell I did not know what that was for.
My problem is that once it runs and there's no smoke, I'll put the cover on it and start it up.
THEN IT SMOKES LIKE CRAZY ⁉️
Now it's fixed, the air hose had a little crack or leak at the end.
That may be old fuel or a clogged nozzle.
I have an old ready heater 25 years old she just quit today one of the fan blades let go so I went out and got a Dewalt one on sale 200 bucks
this was the best how to video of these torpedo heater I've seen yet.
Stay warm! Jason
Thanks for watching. 😁👍
Great video! Thanks for showing and explaining everything in such detail.

Glad i came across your channel.... i have one of these heater and just about where the fire 🔥 blaze i use a circle saw cut it out and installed a 4 inch metal pipe as a exhaust and install a duck fan so i sucks the exhaust out and works fantastic heat my barn
Great video and knowledge sharing.
Thank you. 😁👍
you installed the outlet filter backwards. This is a problem since the passage for the pressure chamber can read correctly. The screened portion of the filter faces rearward.
I’m surprised no one else has noticed this before now. I realized this while I was editing the video and took it back apart and turned it around. Good catch. 😁👍
Cover must be on unit to get a good read on the targets heat color.
This is correct. The air flow is much different with the covers off and it will effect the amount of heat generated. Thanks for watching. 😁👍
Thanks for the video. Helpful to know I can test with the cover off.
It’s not ideal with the cover off but it can be done for testing.
The top cover should be ON! Must cover from the fan motor to the discharge end. The air needs to be directed through the heating chamber.
Dude I love your videos. You always keep my attention the whole time. Great work brother 👍🏼
I appreciate that! Thank you Chris. 😁👍🦅🇺🇸

Great info man. Saving me money 💰!!
No nonsense video. Helpful. Liked and Subscribed.

Mr Baldeagle242,
I have two heaters like these.
Thanks
You may have a partial clog on the nozzle. I would pull that off and clean it out before looking at anything else.
Gracias a usted, aprendí de como funciona y ajuste del mismo, no tenía la mas mínima idea, mil gracias nuevamente.

Thanks for the great info.
I set my pressure as low as I can before it goes out.. also with the top cowl on makes a difference in air delivery to the flame
Great video
Great video, thank you
Whats up with it when your fuel pressure wont go above a certain amount? have a 175000 btu. Nice video!
Most likely you have an air leak somewhere. If that's not it you may have a broken or stuck vein in the pump or a weak pump motor.

I got a remington brand but can't get it too ignite. Replaced hoses and fuel filter, also have spark and good pressure. Also took apart the nozzle and cleaned it. Any ideas what else it could be?
Good fuel?
Hey there my 150000 btu Dayton works great until a few day ago my problem was I have a sticking bearing in the electric motor and I would spray WD-40 to free up the bearings
so the fan would spin obviously it eventually gummed up the vanes some how and I would have to clean the rotor up with brake cleaner , well the other day I assembled it as I done in the past and as I turn the fan to see how it would spin and I heard crunching I must of installed the parts in wrong anyway have u ever replaced the bearing in the electric motor ? They are expensive motors to replace rather tinker with replacing the bearings first ?
I’ve never replaced the bearings in one. I’ve been lucky enough to have a few spare motors when I needed one. I’d have to pull it apart and look at it to see if they are replaceable.
@@baldeagle242 gonna pull mine apart this week and take a look
Good video! I have a question, that pressure rating to look for, 4.7, is that standard for all those heaters or do they all have their own preferred pressure setting? Thanks
They all have different settings. There should be a label on it that gives you the proper settings for your heater.
Thanks for the video! My All Pro 55,000 runs for about 20 to 30 seconds, then billows smoke and shuts off. It never gets to glowing red in the front. I am thinking it is a bad photocell. What are your thoughts?
Thanks!
Sounds like your on the right path.
The type or age of the fuel can play a key role in how much it smokes.
Great stuff ,which is better kerosene or diesel
These work great on diesel fuel. We use red dyed off road diesel in our heaters.

Great detailed video. I had the pump disc crack when I started mine the other day. Opened it up and it was in multiple pieces. I replaced the disc and now when I try to start it. I have to give the fan blade a push to get it to start turning. What would you recommend? Thanks....Dave
Good info!
I want to turn the heater on and off with a timer. Is that possible or does an abrupt stop damage the heater? Thanks
It will work just fine with a timer. The main concern is that it doesn’t get turned towards something when it’s off and then kick on when no one is around. You can also purchase a thermostat the plugs inline and will turn the main power on and off at a preset temperature. 👇

It’s possible one of the veins in the pump has cracked. I’d pull the back of the pump off if the fan and everything external looks good.

I have a dewalt dxh50k. The back looks identical, I'm guessing to up the pressure, it will be the same clockwise turn? Great video ty
That’s correct. Turning the adjustment clockwise tightens the spring to hold the check ball closed longer effectively increasing the pressure required to open it.
@Baldeagle242 thank you!
Great video thanks 😊

Can you tell me what's the name of the gauge that you using i bought one but is not working and my eyes burn when my heater is on
It's a Winters brand. Here is a link. www.amazon.com/dp/B0087UY3T4/?tag=eagle0f1-20
I bought one brand new 3 years ago. Last 2 it’s worked great. This year it’s smoking a awful lot on start up and isn’t blowing as hot at it used to?
I’d confirm you have fresh fuel that’s less than 6 months old first. If it still has fuel in it from last year that may be the only problem.
I have a 115000 it runs with the lid off but not when on. Any ideas what to check. I already replaced nozzle and igniter. Tested photocell seems ok.
Turn the lights off in your shop and see if it still runs with the top off. If it doesn’t you have a dirty or bad photo cell.

Hi , i have a master space heater with the error code L C ,do you have any idea where i should be looking ? thanks in advance :)
Error codes can vary depending on the specific model of your space heater. However, in general, an error code L C on a master space heater could indicate a problem with the combustion system or the flame sensor. Here are some possible solutions to try:
Check for fuel supply: Ensure that there is an adequate supply of fuel to the heater.

So I get mine running with the top off justvlike your video suggests but when I put the lid back on it just pours smoke and shuts off..help!
Check the photocell. It may be getting enough light to run with the top off but not when it’s on.
This is assuming something isn’t hitting the fan or slowing it down.
Photo cell is good I think...the reason I tore it apart was to replace the filter in the air pump it was burning dirty..I did clean the photocell
mine fires up and runs for about a min then starts to smoke pretty heavy, it will ignite again bout a min later.
(it probably wouldn't restart if it weren't.)
Forth, make sure the motor turns freely and isn't slowing down.
Check your hole in the fuel cap it’s prob clogged , needs to vent , Or possibly the sensor
I have power outages in my house could i hook it up to a generator and use it inside
This will run on a 110 volt generator but I would NOT recommend running a heater like this inside a residential dwelling. These heaters can put off a lot of carbon monoxide and the fumes would be overwhelming. (And they are loud!)
If I were you I would look into a more simplistic heater that runs on propane or kerosene that does not require a power source and has an oxygen sensors to shut it down if the air becomes unsafe. Something line a heater buddy or similar propane option would be less expensive than a generator/torpedo heater combination and provide a much quieter and safer alternative.
There are single and double burner options. The double burner has the same lower setting options as the single burner with a third setting for colder areas or larger areas.
