I am amazed how none of them pointed out that the Internet is literally full of light torches for your keys 😅
Back when the episode was released, the light torch market was VERY thin!
@@TheManInBlueFlames Thisnis from a very recent episode. Steven Bartlett only joined the Den in 2022. There were already many torch keyring type products on the Internet.
@@TheManInBlueFlamesit has been on market for more than 20 years!
I got one when I was 12, now i'm 34!
@@MrKiar1611 exactly, I remeber having thin red ones when I was 6 years old.
This is one of those things you pick up at Dealz for 1.50 thinking "oh that might be handy" and literally never use it
Suddenly I have this urge to go to the 98p store.
£20 for a tiny torch XD
Having an ACTUAL laugh!
No, it's actually a lot more than twenty.
I think it's pretty genius to invent things that exist already. Totally new angle for this show.
Should have put a FlowSignal on it.
It's red in colour.
He's currently working on a new invention... a cup made out of paper that you just throw away after you've enjoyed your drink. This could probably be marketed to fast-food joints so they can stop washing all those glasses. He's also coming out with another item that could sell in conjunction with his "paper cup" invention. It's being dubbed "the paper plate." Oh.... wait a second...
And he'll sell those (on Amazon of course, where else!) For 159.99 and 379.99 respectively!
He should have named it the echo friendly torch. The crazies will eat it up.
Next he invents fabric that you can use to protect you skin. It's available in the camping equipment aisle.
This is selling on his website for £34.99 now which is apparently 'on sale' down from £39.99... crazy.. Also looks like he released the pen which is the same price
Find such things on ali express for a couple of quid
That's a great deal of money for such an item. Also, I bet the "on sale" sign is just a marketing ruse.
@@BarbaraT. Indeed
Hutchy: I ALWAYS carry a torch on my keyring ... two for £1 in Tescos - a pretty poor product but they last about 6 months and then throw away ...
@@joline2730 are you saying that or are you saying I'm saying that?
"Probably higher than that", then a couple of seconds later, "probably about 10" lol
And in reality no more than 2... His mum and his dog.😅
Sara Davies gets better by the episode. She was splendid here.
She needs a good frottaging
Heh--not often that you see Sarah being the harshest Dragon.
True, but in all honesty I think Sara was being cruel to be kind.
I bought something similar to this about 10 years ago for around 5 pounds..rechargeable too
something you’d attach your keys to in the 1990s.
•Useful when you’ve come home from a big night
Update March 2023. The entrepeneur has added a sound alert to the torch so that when you pop it back in and the light goes off, it says "I'm out" in Jenny's voice.
Just like the product, this is over engineered tripe.
Like it!
had me in the first half ngl
🤣🤣
If only I had device constantly in my pocket that has a torch built in
This reminds me of something they used to bring into the den in the first 3 series
He should be designing these gadgets that can be attached/fit well inside prestige cars/yachts.
How can you trust anyone with ears like that
Or a name like yours
nothing wrong with his ears
I know right 😂😂😂 he looks like Dumbo 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@T-Bone_Frank something wrong with your right ear sticking out like a satellite too😅😅😅😅😅😅

9:35 “Having failed to win over the Dragon’s with his [tiny torch], he leaves the den with nothing”. 😏
😛
🤏🏻😳
Turn the torch into an s.o.s torch for outdoors
Too bad it's not red... that way you could've put together about 8 of them to create a flow signal and save lives
lmfao
Too bad he couldn't make them flash on top of a cone, he would've got a grant from the government.
@@Asif-kh-n9r Well I might have to offshore if that's how my taxes are being spent!
@@colmwhateveryoulike3240 😂😂👏👏
A keychain pen that is half size and opens up to full size I would actually consider. I never have a pen when I need one so this would allow me to keep one on me always without any mental effort. But these are novelty and the torch one is definitely not unique. There wouldnt be any profits leftover for the dragons.
They never asked what the battery life is. Typically tiny flashlight batteries wear out within a few weeks and are costly to replace.
If made in China then yes. But he's selling those for 25 quid not for a pound at Poundland so I'm guessing his production facility must be on Mars...
I love Touker 🤣
niche market: people who don't have a smartphone..🤦♂
Love how Steven grilled homefry on his N~10 sample size!! 😅 Also enjoyed hearing Sarah rip him a new one!! 😮🎉
This is what I imagine when someone has “entrepreneur” on their social media profiles lol
Sara’s best part of dragons den!
There are many key ring torches about on the internet for £1 or £2, the only difference is they don't come off your key ring.
This is something you get in a Christmas cracker
2:24 Toucan Sillyman...
"😮 HOW MUCH 🥴🎉?!?"
My favourite keyring accessory is a 1m tape measure, it comes in so handy.
I've got one of those, made of paper, from Ikea ‼️😄😄
With those ears, I am surprised he didn't fly into the room.
AT LAST!! Finally a portable light emitting device! Now we dont have to rely on candles anymore! really need this. ....
😂😂😂
Along with the testimonials:
Touka: "it's credible"
Pizza: "it's innovative"
Bartletpaedo: "it's brilliant"
😅😅😅
Literally a good example of engineering the best for no real life purpose.
I think Toucan might have been "lighting up" a lil' too much before filming!! 😉
Love this programme
I would be offended at being called cute in such a context.
Notice how only the youngest Dragon mentioned smartphones while the others didn't even think about it. You already have this product in your pocket don't ever buy it
'You're really cute' , now imagine a middle-aged man would tell a young lady.
I also don't think he is cute to begin, with....
Was unprofessional, couldn't believe it but yeah if the shoe was on the other foot and he said to her there would be uproar!!
Don't be such a snowflake.
There dragons
Oh shutup
I value that people are prepared to pay, and this is none of that today 🤣
I have a similar one. Slightly bigger stays on without holding a button. £1.00 from one of those gift shop places.
9:04 her face is just priceless!
somebody just let one rip
I loved that face too ❤
3:36 yeah I do this when I work on cars and computers and I usually have to fumble for a while and it'll slide off and down. A lot of times I give up and hold it in my mouth.
i have a beanie hat with a built in rechargeable torch very bright
Jenny would of invested
Time to find out if stationary mogul Theo Pofitus has been unusually quiet today.
Hello! Guys, can you tell me the names of some UA-cam channels that teach social media marketing in United Kindom🇬🇧?🥺
Great for collecting seaweed at night
They all liked the quality and design, if it was a bit cheaper it would be a handy little thing. That's not to say that it would be a good investment of course but I'd be happy to be given one.
I watched this on April fools day...
My man really said hes not the type of person to change his own tyre 😅
This has to be an April fools joke? 😂
2:04 Big hands
3:27 I'm amazed that it took a young Dragon to remind everyone there are torches on phones 😂
5:39 It's not!
6:50 Gadget market not mass market
You know what they say about men with "big hands" 😉...
They wear large gloves!
The only gap is the part between his ears
Dudes gonna invent breathing soon.
Is Steven Bartlett a whoopsie?
Who watches this while having lunch?
£5.99 maybe, £24.99 NO WAY!
Sara was spot on.
There's too many gadgets for people's key rings. Here's another one.
I guess they never heard of EDC!
That is one excellent head of hair.
Haven’t heard Sara talking like that to someone before. Think she’s been sitting beside Touker for too long
Why were they calling him a masterful inventor and a wonderful engineer? He presented them with a Christmas cracker prize at best and the next prize he's bringing out is a foldable pen. And he never fully explained why he always carried a torch around with him. Who needs to do that???
Worst inventions ever . A torch and a foldable pen
He looks like Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway’ …EASTENDERS FANS 😀
Prison ears
Does putting down others for their appearance make you feel better about yours?
I thought a gadget / gizmo shouldn’t be this expensive
What a chancer.
This is ludicrous, 20 for a keyring torch, £2 is a mid ranged price for something like that, a torch that is way better than this guys one would go for £5 max. Really the only place I see these being bought is business conventions buy then and give them out along with their branded pens and free mints, and they buy them wholesale for like
I actually thought this was a joke.
A keyring flashlight...?
Evan Davis actually enjoyed this pitch, even to the point of following the entrepreneur out of the Den by hiding himself in their car boot. The unexpected surprise when they got home was Evan waking them up in the middle of the night at the end of their bed, illuminating his face with a Mini Magnetic Torch under his chin to reveal a face smeared in coleslaw. "I'd invest in you", hissed Evan.
That was pretty bad. did you come up with it yourself?
@@BenjaminGoose no, it was sent to me from you in the post. I can't thank you enough.
@@BenjaminGoose At least he posts something new and original everytime...
You better take out a copywrite on this because @BenjaminGoose is sure to plagiarise it down the track.
Saying My Precious, Evan looks like Golum i think he lives under the Dragons den stairs
This guy is now worth 26 million
Why would you put that in the title? There goes the anticipation of if he gets investment…
I'd like to be first to market.........
again
Shortly after his time in the den, Grant Bruce was approached by Chris Chibnall, a Dr Who writer who had the idea to base a villain off of him. The story ended up being 'the Flux' episode arc many years later!
Has anyone watched the munsters?
bring on Jenny...where is she?
Listen, if they are not convinced then I am not convinced. So just send jenny a few free samples and move on
I want to go on here and pitch "It's a pill that gives worms to your ex-girlfriend!"
Overpriced mate
olight, a worldwide brand which specialise in torches, make a torch that works in the same way but is cheaper!
I have this with a magnet, we are thinking about a pen with a magnet... he's not an incredible engineer people have stuck magnets on things since the beginning of magnets. Sara was great cause she was so blunt. Stop.
Mobile phones with flashlights: I'm about to end this man's career
no gadget is investable.
some companies may be.
you should use people who are at least a tiny bit competent and know what they are saying.
Wow Peter has aged
That's how getting older works.
Your product is great but pointless and for that reason I’m out!
This is prime example to why Universities are a waste of time 🤣
un-torch-unately would have been better
why none of them saw it for corporate-gift market?
too small to print/engrave on? 🤔
09:35 blehhhh

Behind the rest of the world yet they invented the car.
I'm only past the pitch, and I would definitely buy one. Would be perfect for working on my car.
No doubt he could make a bunch of products and sell them to make some extra cash. And who knows, 1 might sky-rocket.
Would anyone on here pay £24 for this? I'm out.

This comments section is where single guys can fish for likes and attention by spamming with repetitive, obnoxious jokes and memes, because they are creatively bankrupt and have nothing intelligent or meaningful to say.
Nice comment, grab my like man 😅
And yet here you are. Projection much?
Great product!
@@ingulari3977 Yes, it's very expensive.
I think the product is useful. Just a bit overpriced.
Why do they let him in? I guess its just to make fun of him. Thats sad.
