My favourite part of this game is reaching the moon on multiplayer server and sending down packages with parachutes and beacons full of space resources the other players can’t get on earth
All thrusters got buffed by 20% so no need to have as many as before, batteries will last a bit to get the job done. Avoid the hydrogen engine for non ground vehicles. You don't need air vents for atmospheric ships. If you're worried of batteries autonomy could slap a solar panel that will help a bit till you can find uranium later on as cheap power source.
@@DragonNationGaming doesn't matter how aggresively you fly, when your cargo is so small :P I'm serious there, even 1 large thruster for only 2 smallgrid medium containers is more than needed. Btw, try also adding simple stone-ejectors to your mining ship designs. It saves up plenty of time by hauling "pure" ores rather than 50% stone ;)
@@MrDeothor It's better to have it and not need it but I'm sure that you're going to find something to argue about. With the ejectors you mean like the one in the video I just posted yesterday? Not in atmosphere I'm not.
@@DragonNationGaming Actually I meant more like large connection sorter set for stone -> connector with throw all option. It throws alot bigger chunks of stone than ejectors and can be easily placed on every containers large connection you don't use. It might be slightly bulky setup with vanilla connectors, but there's superb mod called "connectors + collectors" which adds slim versions of connectors. Either way I'm just throwing you some ideas, if you don't need them, it's fine :)
Every small mining ship i make cant hand the full load. i even removed small containers resorting to only containers in the drill, ship, and connector. still heavy. is it that huge battery ? or is it because im using small thrusters. i have to use 4 of them just to barely fight a single direction.
there is a reason why he uses big thrusters to push the ship up. its enough for a med cargo, cockpit, connector and drills fully filled. What i use on mine which is similar to his is: *small atmo pushing backwards, 9 small atmo each side, 2 big atmo foward, 2 big atmo upwards, 4 big batteries, cockpit, connector, 4 gyros, 2 drills, ore detector, antenna, small reactor(was the last thing i added). Before the reactor i was using my base power to recharge the batteries on the ship which would last for like 4 hour while on use. The ship also cant stay upside down but can point straight down and stay still.
Thanks DNG, this is a great help. I built one too in my survival game but your mining drills seem to cut a much larger diameter then mine ...are you using modded drills ?
Love your vids. Keep up the good work. I rather new to the game and was hoping you could show me to a guide on how to use the blueprints in y game. Thanks
possibly a silly question, but for more experience miners out there; why does he connect the cockpit to the conveyor system? them drills are connected to the storage already and components & tools cannot move through the conveyors to the cockpit anyways, is it really worth it to store ore in the cockpit?
I'd say that you keep it on the planet for awhile and work your way up to space. I'd enjoy seeing your version of a space elevator.

Nice music during the building process

I really love the montage
This was really helpful, I've been struggling on my miner design
Good video, the miner can use 1 more battery. so you do not plons to the ground at high speed while trying to slow down
2 large thrusters vs 2'ish medium containers? Kinda an overkill. Also no sorters that'd throw uneccessary stone away?
Not when you're an aggressive flyer, those containers are full of resources and the developers keep nerfing thrusters.

So thats why
Ya my ships always suddenly crash cuz of my ships poop stones crazily
Bloody glad your back mate looking forward to the vid.
Also I don't know if you play star citizen but god damn that game is gorgeous.
those are an awful lot of side thrusters. Just don´t tilt your ship too far.

@@MefuneAkira Late to the party, but this comment is gold
Is it safe to fly with full cargo?

No he hit the right button and not left because it digs more but you don't get any resources for it but you can turn around after
ok i built this ship but it wont recharge

@crgzero Thanks. I was looking at a few of his vids last evening
Hey mate how did you connect to the base platform. Only just started play couple of days ago
Ok i worked that out. How do i add large parts to a small ship. Like you did with the thrusters
Which beta version are you using?

You can get O2 and H2 if you have a generator in the conveyer system somewhere.
are you the guy from mad hatter's reef? you sound exactly alike
stay on the planet!
