I discovered this video yesterday and this is the third time I’m watching it. I’m an African from the Diaspora living in New York City for more than 2 decades. This video triggered so much thinking in my head. Isn’t this a blueprint for city planning, development and management for other subsaharan Africans countries? I’ve been following the progress in Rwanda and I’m always really impressed by the Rwandans drive to improve their lives and their country. With little financial resources what they achieve is impressive. Clean and functional cities. With $ 600,000 they can pave an entire neighborhood? That’s less than my house here. It’s called ultimate efficiency. 👏🏾 Thanks Willie you just won a new subscriber. Today is MLK day I just made a virtual tourism visiting Kigali from the comfort of my living-room. I watched it on my large TV screen and the experience is just amazing like if I were there. Especially the quality of the video is excellent. Walking around the neighborhood, the video resolution.👌🏿 Please could you do a video (amateur reporting like the ones you’ve been doing) on their bus system. It looks like Kigali is trying to build some sort of mass transit. I’ve seen the ones in Dar Es Salaam, Addis Ababa, Dakar Senegal, Lagos and Abuja started one too, Abidjan is building one as well, Nairobi is trying too, it’s sad that Accra has nothing going on. Mass-transit systems are the backbones of any functional city. Keep up the good work. 🙏🏾👏🏾
The streets are clean and it makes the area looks safe and wholesome when it’s clean! I’m so impressed! But I hope Rwanda is still owned by Africans! 🌹
Honestly, after watching this, I wonder why Nairobi always ranks ahead of Kigali. I mean, this town is very organized; by walking in this town, one feel really safe. Besides, the environment is super friendly. I am a Kenyan, but Kigali is underrated, not only in East Africa but also in the continent.
Una ciudad moderna, muy limpia, ordenada, con espacios pensados para el peatón, los ciclistas, tranquila. Muy bella. Saludos desde Santa Fe, Argentina.
Rwanda is modelling itself on Singapore, a similarly small, resourceless nation which went from 3rd to 1st world in a generation. Authoritarianism plays a major role in both nations.
An emerging garden city. Good landscape architecture. When these young trees and plants fully mature and well maintained Kigali will become a destination of choice for all.

To see how far Rwanda has come is truly impressive, all inspiring and transformational within the African psyche! I have been watching this transformation take place since the late 90s via Skyscrapers online and remember what it used to be, I took a break from tracking the progress and now it's as if I was propelled into the future within a time warp of sorts. Let's raise our glass to Cheer all Rwandans and their leaders for having the vision and disciple to implement this master plan without the endowment of resources as many other countries on the continent!
I agree with the point that you made about it being unrealistic for one city to be the business hub of Africa, in East Asia alone you have Singapore as well as Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei and the list goes on. In Africa you could have Kigali alongside cities like Johannesburg, Nairobi, Accra, etc. who can serve their respective regions. however, I still feel that the African free trade agreement has more benefits than negatives as people from different countries will be able to access these different cities easier.
thanks a lot for that video , i am very interested in discovering more of the city, cause I am planing a trip their very soon ! that would be lovely to meet you ! thanks for the video
Kigali Rwanda's roads look way better than a lot of the streets here in Southern California (Los Angeles area). Kigali is clean...here in LA A LOT of places are dirty. Kigali is absolutely beautiful.
I was curious in light of my government's proposal to send some refugees to Rwanda. I must say, I'm impressed! It looks remarkably clean and modern. I love how green it is and the walkable areas too. Looks a lot nicer than a lot of places I've been here in Britain tbh lol. Of course it's only one city, and the capital at that, but it's a nice showing :)
Very impressive clean city. I am Grman living in the USA. Cleaning up a city like this can not be done without law and order. There have to be rules and consequences if not followed. Germany is much cleaner than the USA but at the cost of much more pressure by the society around you. My wife likes the USA much more because of that. The USA is leaning toward more tolerance and therefore less order. Yin and Yang. Always.
I agree with you on the plot thing, sir. Come to Nigeria and see a small plot sold for a million dollars without having the necessary infrastructure close by. It is very annoying thing.
Congratulations to the people of Rwanda and the President- this country has made great progress and I am impressed! Keep up the good work and copy ideas from countries like Singapore! Greetings from Ireland!

Thanks Willie you just won a new subscriber. Today is MLK day I just made a virtual tourism visiting Kigali from the comfort of my living-room. I watched it on my large TV screen and the experience is just amazing like if I were there. Especially the quality of the video is excellent. Walking around the neighborhood, the video resolution.👌🏿
Please could you do a video (amateur reporting like the ones you’ve been doing) on their bus system.
I appreciate your awesome feedback.
I found these Videos of Nairobi Kenyan also interesting.

Hello from the USA. That was a great presentation. I love the cleanliness of Kigali. I would love to visit. Thanks Willie!
The best video i have ever seen about my beautiful country Rwanda. Keep up the good work!
Here is another one... ua-cam.com/video/kA6Nxx8-Rxc/v-deo.html
This one is best 🌱
I watching from Philippines... Rwanda is a good living country...
The streets are clean and it makes the area looks safe and wholesome when it’s clean! I’m so impressed! But I hope Rwanda is still owned by Africans! 🌹
Africans for the win! Of course we are the owners of this beautiful land too
@@munaaliii Who built this?
Wow Rwanda Ethiopia and Kenya are maintaining the green environment kudos ❤
Honestly, after watching this, I wonder why Nairobi always ranks ahead of Kigali. I mean, this town is very organized; by walking in this town, one feel really safe. Besides, the environment is super friendly. I am a Kenyan, but Kigali is underrated, not only in East Africa but also in the continent.
I know it change. I went there during the “dark days “ as a peace keeper and 100% was not as now. Iam very happy to see this. Very very very happy
When these young trees and plants fully mature and well maintained Kigali will become a destination of choice for all.
of course a thieving president / dictator erm, Paul K., can use stolen resources from Neighboring Congo to make his city look clean, yet this Man @0:55 says his hungry ( he speaks as translator) , ain't that a PARADOX? you Sheoples can put one plus one together. And just accepts the smoke and Mirrors!
...if you do not oppose the leader in any way, of course.
As a Greek, I will say that Kigali is cleaner than ATHENS! The people there should know how to make a place look beautiful.
Paul has transformed a backward country into a first world in a space of less than 30 years, just observe the civility and organisation just like any of the southern european countries..
Living in such country gives you hope to work hard because you know there is better tomorrow. Kudos to Paul, his effort is a message to the rest of the black africa leaders that quality of lives of their people can be improved if they have vision and honesty.
Paul the THIEF

More beautiful and clean than lots of cities in America
Kudos Rwanda am so impressed comparisons to lusaka it's an encouragement
So this means that Lusaka must kill African people for reaching this kind of result
Bad goal
I am SO PROUD of Rwanda and HE President Paul Kagame. Thank you Mr President; keep the good work going and keep making Africa proud. Hope other African countries and leaders will borrow a leaf from Rwanda. Highly impressive!!

Let's raise our glass to Cheer all Rwandans and their leaders for having the vision and disciple to implement this master plan without the endowment of resources as many other countries on the continent!
what a beautiful place, one of the most beautiful places that i have ever seen...love my brothers and sisters there
Such a nice and clean city...greeting from Indonesia
Me too. Visiting soon
حلوة جدا وناس حلوين جميلة جدا مدينة كيغالي
People are very nice, generally. If it wasn't that way we would have a more difficult life on Earth.
@@BlaqRaq Meanwhile, one thing I find that u cannot generalize about is human beings.
Always.
wow beautiful indeed ,downtown area soo clean ,proud of RWANDA .
I agree with you on the plot thing, sir. Come to Nigeria and see a small plot sold for a million dollars without having the necessary infrastructure close by. It is very annoying thing.
Swrs bro our government are corrupt see as city fyn not like Nigeria
Geesh... Is it bad deal's? Maybe a person got swindled 😕?? 🙏🏿
@@jaeeluv No bad deal and no swindling or whatsoever. If you go to Abuja and some parts of Lagos you will know what I am talking about.
Everything is a grift in Nijah it seems. it has never dawned on them that they are ripping their children and grandchildren off.
This is really beautiful, I really don't understand what our leaders are doing in uganda? Am really impressed.
All Africans must seek to protect and model this country for it’s courage and developmental pursuits
Congratulations to the people of Rwanda and the President- this country has made great progress and I am impressed! Keep up the good work and copy ideas from countries like Singapore! Greetings from Ireland!
Ashukuriwe Mheshimiwa Paul kagame kwa kuisanifu vilivyo nchi ya Rwanda. Kigali Rwanda ni mji wa kujivunia hapa kwetu Africa ya mashariki. Wako kutoka +255 🇹🇿 Swahili nation.
God bless Rwanda, God bless Tanzania.
Respect for the people of Rwanda, safe, clean and progressive- like to visit there one day!
8:32 what a beautiful place
Brother Willie!....I was just in Kigali two weeks ago, I didn't stay very long before going back to Uganda. I also found out the hard way that my MTN sim card in Uganda doesn't work in Rwanda...NOONE has told anybody that in any videos that I've watched between Rwanda and Uganda. I would have most certainly reached out if I could have. I do plan on coming back very soon...I did chat briefly with Jai Essence...she is 💯 lovable trip. I'll be coming back soon ..you know this Visa dance some of us do....love the work my friend, stay safe, continue traveling.
BENDICIONES.
What a city! And this in Africa! It should be an exemple for city planners all over the world: so quite (ok its Sunday, but still), so clean, so nice. I would like to live there for the rest of my life because the countryside is fabulous as well. Compare this with neighboring Congo.
Its beautiful. I never thought that African cities can be as beautiful. Thanks for opening my eyes.
Please be quiet Hindu. that kind of thinking is not a compliment.
@@skyjuiceification Mind your own business? I did not ask for your opinion. Shut up please.
Hello from Louisiana in the States. This is a very nice video. Glad to see Rwanda is doing well.
Honestly this place look like not Africa ,not India , not S.A not America but Japan people are calm , infrastructures are neat the people engaged all in all on the move and their own business you don’t see no nonsense or no shenanigans very hopeful part of Africa. From your part amazing documentary brother .keep the good work keep coming . You proved you are one of cool AA. May God bless you more.
Thank you so much for this beautiful Tour, I am totally impress with Beautiful Rwanda,
Pavement does look nice, but you have to have a very good sewage system. Otherwise, it will cause flooding during heavy or prolonged rainfall.
Rwanda has shown black africans that Africa's problem is fixable and that We can lead ourselves.
Beautiful city in Rwanda with impeccable roads!

Something the majority ingrates in the South African population can learn, which really costs nothing except effort is : Hygiene and Cleanliness.
Well shot, nice work Willie!
Rwanda is the brain child of Africa to be congratulation President Kegame we love
I give thanks for Paul kigame who transform this space to be what it be, ,,good job Paul long live
RESPONSIBLE ACCOUNTABLE LEADERSHIP IN AFRICA IS ALL THAT WAS EVER NEEDED. not handouts and pretty words from colonizers.
Wow I love this city. Love from Singapore
Kiyovu is not a district it’s like hood but it’s located in Nyarugenge district
My motherland I love you Rwanda 🇷🇼 ❤
Yeah I was about to say that
Kigali is so clean. Love to visit one day.
Wow best place greet from Poland ❤❤❤❤
idk if it is the saturation on the video but everything is a lot more colorful than i anticipated
This is absolutely a beautiful city. Am so impressed. Greetings from Nigeria.
Thanks so much for the footage! I'm moving with my family and my parents (unfortunately) think Kigali is 10 huts and a market. I love the addition of the captions. I hope we meet one day!
Clean city ntakuja kutembea love from Tanzania 🇹🇿
Karibu sana
You people should understand where they are coming from, unlike other countries like ours Zambia which has never experienced any kind of war and yet struggling in so many areas of infrastructure since independence, I say cudos to Rwanda there are heading somewhere.
Thanks wish for the best for the both of us and the whole continent of Africa.
Truly Shocking !!!
just about the cleanest city I've ever seen.
Hi ... I´m from South America, although I speak English I prefer write on my native tongue : Viendo éste video, me parece que Kigali es una ciudad muy bonita y moderna ... Yo conozco Gabón, en Africa occidental ... no es un pais así de bonito como Kigali ... Nosotros en mi país que es Colombia, conocemos muy poco de lo que es Uganda ... Saludos ...

To be honest I don't know a lot about Rwanda. But the capital looks quite impressive. It breaks a stereotype about African city. thank you for sharing video.
I like the balance in your reporting. Please keep up the good work. Love the work in the countryside.
Excellent video!💯
I love Kigali. 😄
Nice video as always could you put a spotlight on other towns / city in Rwanda like Musanze.
Rwanda looks great it's so clean and beautiful.
Very clean I believe the first city in Africa
OMG, that is so beautiful it looks like CGI 😆 ❤️
I like this city much more than I like Cotonou or Lome. I find that cities like that are sprawled out too
Much, roads much too wide, lots of space wasted and while very clean, seem sterile. But Kigali has lots of character and has used its space wisely. This is a beautiful city and I hope it develops in a somewhat cosmopolitan way with different areas featuring different cultures.
Glad ur back my friend
I am genuinely happy that the motari didn't charge him extra because he was foreign lol
Also there really is a french influence literally everyone knows a little bit of french its just not what's spoken first and there is no way you can spend 2 days going in public and not hear people speaking french let alone months
Absolutely beautiful!!!!
Paul Kegame did well for Rwanda 🇷🇼 he’s one of the few great leaders alive today.
This looks better than some american cities.... Headed there soon
