@@jamesbrown9721bit hyperbolic but alright the point tho is the unsustainability of these housing markets. the outsourcing of materials, high costs of labour and expertise and the small size of market base all contribute to rwanda unsustainable housing pricing.

I curious. Who is buying? Are they mostly international investors? Are they purchasing for rental income, Airbnb businesses? I'm curious. I want in!! lol.
Great content Steven! Are they building these properties expecting Americans to move there? I ask because the home costs are equivalent to US prices and if that’s the case one might as well stay in the US. Also, I wish they would say the cost in the countries currency. Because, whoever purchases wouldn’t do so in USD.
You understand that the US dollar is A WORLD currency? Or are you one of those average Americans who can't understand anything outside America? Like the fact that the US dollar is THE STABLE currency used ALL OVER Africa. In places like Zimbabwe it's one of the OFFICIAL currencies. Seychelles has like FIVE official currencies, most are foreign.
@@OffGridInvestor First off the everage American doesn't care to know about anything outside of America because they feel they have it all in America. I guess that's why so many foreigners come to or try to come to America. Anyways, your comment shows you did not comprehend what I wrote and why I wrote it. It helps when people state the cost in the countries currency due to the fact that the price will fluctuate and will not be the price stated in USD over time. Also, unless the person earns USD or have a USD bank account they will not be paying using USD. Also, I am one who invests in several countries and while the cost in USD is given I know it is because of the audience watching the video and also I am aware that many Africans are being priced out and that's another reason why the countries currency amount should be included with such information.

Riddle this please ... average ANNUAL salary in Kigali/Rwanda is 9,000 RWD which is about $8,000 USD PER YEAR ... how is anyone there affording home ownership in the mid 100s for a 2BR and rising up fast in the 300s ++++ for a 4BR ... Who is buying these houses? Sounds like gentrification ... anyway, nice properties ... but there are other alternatives in Africa where the markets are more affordable and share equivalent development. Oshe
The pricing doesn't make sense. The real estate in Africa is so expensive to compare to the average incomes. The implication is not to favourable to the locals but to foreign investors. How can you build an economy that your own people cannot afford, then they could only be slaves to foreign investors? The apartment prices doesn't fit in the street economy of Rwanda. Ridiculous

I've visited Rwanda a few times and there are many talented locals who are involved in the real estate industry...also, I'm certain that most of the real estate seen will be bought by overseas Rwandans, returning Rwandans and local elites...and yes some will be bought by foreign buyers. Rwandans pride themselves in showcasing and marketing their country and tbh, this is not a good look having a foreigner do it.

Hello Steve, very nice reporting on the prices of real estate in Rwanda, it’s one of my favorite African cities. I’m very concerned about the prices which seams like US or Europeans prices, my question is can most local Rwandans afford those home or appartements, cause the development needs to benefit the locals first. I like South Africa, but it's dangerous. No use living in a mansion behind electrified walls if you can't go out at night and enjoy the culture & vibe of the cities. Plus you'll be stuck in your mansion with no electricity up to 6 hours a day!
@@jamesbrown9721bit hyperbolic but alright the point tho is the unsustainability of these housing markets. the outsourcing of materials, high costs of labour and expertise and the small size of market base all contribute to rwanda unsustainable housing pricing.
What if you wanted to come to do regenerative farming, earthen architecture, health tourism, or try to get a medical cannabis license for exporting to start business there?
It’s possible and there competition is very low
very affordable and looks relaxing
Please I hope nobody is upset about this comment. I love Rwanda! The type of place I would love to retire to. But is there ever likely to be a repeat of the tragedy that happened almost three decades ago?
People are more smart now with enough knowledge and information
The Rwandan society is moving forward and currently Rwanda is more stable than most of the countries.
Who has ever predicted the destruction of Ukraine.!
if youre scared dont go. youre asking this as if people are psychic ffs.
Pile ou face !!
Beautiful but I will never go to another Country and spend more than 300,000 and basically that's too much... when I don't spend that where I live now!!! I can buy land and build my own house to my liking if I choose to spend that amount!!!
There is a lot of rich and successful Africans living abroad who would buy
The costs of the land/houses are much cheaper than the US except for the highly desired areas.
Stay😂😂 until the collapse come
Decent properties.
However are there African developers in Rwanda that are building similar properties?
Yes
Wow.. Rwanda is beautiful!!
Question: Can the Middle income Rwandan afford these properties? If not, then what's the point?
Hi Steve,
It's always a pleasure to tour the world through your movement.
I'm a big subscriber. I love your video spaces. You nature my desire for estates. Thanks. Cheers to more mind boggling video. Yeah , more tech houses. Success!
Thanks for the support
Thanks for being a good creator of all these nice contents

Riddle this please ... average ANNUAL salary in Kigali/Rwanda is 9,000 RWD which is about $8,000 USD PER YEAR ... how is anyone there affording home ownership in the mid 100s for a 2BR and rising up fast in the 300s ++++ for a 4BR ... Who is buying these houses? Sounds like gentrification ... anyway, nice properties ... but there are other alternatives in Africa where the markets are more affordable and share equivalent development. Oshe
Beautiful Rwanda houses and nice real estate market.
I pray these nice homes is not price in USD because a regular person want be able to afford them..
Thanks a lot bro, your videos are amazing. I know now where i want to live in Africa.
There is more to come
The pricing doesn't make sense.
Ridiculous

I need to visit Rwanda ASAP!!
reading about people grabbing multi-figures monthly as incomes in investments even in this crazy days in the market, any pointers on how to make substantial progress in earning? would be appreciated.
You've got to have an Idea on what you wanna invest in carefully before going in.
I make huge profits on my investment since I started trading with Mrs Shila Morgs, her trading strategies are top notch coupled with the little commission she charges on her trade.
You make it sound so bogus to accept that as a passive annual income, when clearly possible. I've made thousands since January so far without any prank plans. She's a masterpiece!

Hi I need help looking for an ultramodern 4 bedroom all en suite house with staff accommodation and a pool. Similar to houses in Steyn city. For rent but the websites in Rwanda are so slow and hard to navigate

Why houses so too priced

Hmmmm. Nice video
Hey Steven, I have alot of respect for you in terms of your content and this is a well made video. But I have to ask, couldn't you have found an experience local instead of foreigner to introduce u to the real estate industry in Rwanda? I've visited Rwanda a few times and there are many talented locals who are involved in the real estate industry...also, I'm certain that most of the real estate seen will be bought by overseas Rwandans, returning Rwandans and local elites...and yes some will be bought by foreign buyers. Rwandans pride themselves in showcasing and marketing their country and tbh, this is not a good look having a foreigner do it.
What’s wrong with you? Where are you going with that cheap xenophobia? The guy lives and works in Rwanda for years, contributing to the country.
His videos on real-estate in Rwanda are among the best if not simply the best.
Steven produces quality content, it’s just normal he will collabo with the best.
Stop the nonsense ok? 😡
Juan Lion, me too would have loved to see a brother or sister from Rwanda doing the exposer of an African country than this foreigners. Some simple minded people might find nothing wrong with it but I find it offensive. This's what Africans do all the times, they promate foreigners instead of their own!!

I get what you’re saying but I suspect Rwanda isn’t that different to Ghana; a lot of the more formal business is also owned by white(in Rwanda white westerners and he said in the one area it’s mostly expats live there) or Arab ppl(in Ghana Lebanese). I also who her found a Rwandese property developer even if an expat
Crazy prices. Thanks for sharing.
Simon how are you. I'm interested to buy villa in Kigali Rwanda bout i'like big garden with swimming pool and big garage bathrooms big everything i'have to biggest
If this is just to attract the diaspora but keep locals in poverty, then I’m still sad if the our local people are left behind.
Great video bro, I plan to visit Rwanda for investment opportunities.🤛🏾💪🏾
Honestly most locals can’t afford this homes
@@StevenNdukwu That's not the development that African needs right now brother. When I watched these videos that I am linking you here, I was sadden: ua-cam.com/video/GNU1ZEdnOyg/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/kXdE_VfNo2A/v-deo.html
I understand that this is the Western Imperialist agenda, but we cannot turn a blind eye to these realities. I can leave the US and go to Rwanda and be able to afford these home, and even invest in business. But we cannot talk about development when our people are left behind.
Still a great reportage, I'm planning to arrive in Rwanda this year I'll reach out to you and Simon. Gr8 work man.
I'm in the US and this was more expensive than what I paid for my home lol

I like the project, but I see the building blocks. They connect the floors the hold the floors is very thin. They should be more thicker. God forbid you have a health quake. This building is going to be flat like a disk collapsing one by one by one
WHERE ARE THE AFRICANS THAT ARE DEVELOPERS IN THAT COUNTRY? IT'S ALL EUROPEAN BUILDING IN AFRICA, VERY SAD.

Okay, have you downloaded the travel guide?
A low income country with rental cost equivalent to what is obtainable in the Western World. Are they building for foreiners in order to price Rwandans out of their own country? Same way the locals of Dubai in the UAE have been outpriced out of their neighborhoods and forced to surrounding emirates were they may be able to afford a place to rent or buy. Although, no guarantee.
Hi Steven . Lots of.love from Toronto Canada. I am a subscriber to your channel and a lover of your videos. One quick and funny question. Can you tell me where you bought the shirt you wore in this video? It's fantastic. Thank you
Nice content.
On a side note though. There are so many mega and even giga mansions in Beverly Hills and the Hollywood Hills to make your pick from. So I find it quite strange that you still had to use 3 houses, all actually located in Bel Air (Nile Niami's "The One" and the $99M mansion at 906 Bel Air Rd) in representing Beverly and Hollywood Hills in your intro... Not cool bro.

Hi 👋 Lady Visionary 🤗🤗🤗
Why use names from America to identify neighbourhoods in Africa?.... I really need to know this.
God bless you sir
View is great But overpriced. Poor interior designs. Narrow bedrooms and bathrooms. Shared bathrooms. Are you kidding for these ridiculous prices? This must be a joke. Not worth the prices. Absolutely not interested.
Depends with the neighborhood im pretty sure these houses would cost half a million in places like new york and LA so the location matters alot
If its 266.000 does that means its all cash you need to have or they will finance?
Please feature African developers and builders.
Check out American drama homes International and their project in Rwanda. They are building more than 2 thousand affordable homes. They are Africans also
Very impressed with this country and it's leadership. I'm interested. Is there a citizenship requirement to buy?
No in rwanda you can buy land as a foreigner and use it as you wish
@@youngkaway that's not wholly accurate. I understand foreigners cannot have the land in their name and are not allowed to hold onto land with the view of reselling at a profit
@@tvs9978 I've seen videos of hundreds of foreigners buying land in rwanda and building homes i dont know exactly the whole process but i know you can buy land in rwanda as a foreigner
