    Coming from a guys who’s sold solar for over 4 years. Only thing I’d recommend is setting the correct intentions. You don’t want to come by just to drop off a report. You’ll typically get porched this way. You want to come back and go over the proposal with him inside the house. So setting the correct intention here is critical.

    • @meebsgeeb
      @meebsgeeb Рік тому +21

      100% correct. You don't want to come off as too pushy and pressure a customer, but you also need to be up front about the intention and expected outcome of the visit. Something like: "I can come back tomorrow at 5 pm to review the proposal with you. If the numbers make sense, we can go through the next steps together, if not, that's totally okay, and at least you will will be better informed"

    I was thinking about math behind this and it’s either:
    A) 9k is not a profit, it’s overall cost of the equipment+labor
    B) 9k is net revenue and the cost of overall equipment+labor is over 40-50k
    Considering average 5% rise in utilities price:
    A) break even is in about 7 years
    B) break even is in about 40 years
    All that considering the life expectancy of 25-30 years and nothing will break down along the way+annual solar panels cleanup for 200$, I’m calling it’s not worth it

      9k is the commission, and the person getting the solar starts saving money from day 1

      @@w140 basically it's like a loan payment, the last family I helped has their solar loan locked at 189 a month, and their average bill is 312 dollars and 270 at the lowest. So when I say they save money from day 1 means they save over 100 a month because they only pay 189 versus the 300 every month.

    • @w140
      @w140 Рік тому

      @@csugabo85 so they cut off the grid completely for 189$ a month? What’s the full price and duration of the loan? What’s the power output of the system installed? Trying to get full picture here, because you need actual 5x of your power consumption, as average efficiency is about 15-20% of its rated power.

    • @csugabo85
      @csugabo85 Рік тому

      @@w140 Sure I'll try my best to answer but I'm not the most technically proficient so bear with me but, they're not cut off completely there's a rule where you'll always have to be connected to the grid, at least in California. For this family they have enough solar panels to offset 132%. So 100% of the power they normally use plus an extra 32% where if they don't use that it gets sold back and they get credits for it. Hopefully that answers the power output question. The full price is around just at 40k at 30 yrs 2.99%.

    Great if you’re the one going back and only offer a lease. Otherwise all you have is a first name and maybe his avg bill. You can’t send a rep out to that without any qualifying questions or making sure the spouse or significant other will be there as well. 90% of 1 legs have to talk to their spouse or cancel b/c they don’t know how to sell it to their partner. If you’re lucky, they’ll let you come back and “cancel the agreement” but then you’re making multiple trips to re-earn their business when you should be sitting with another opportunity.

    Great technique. However, he didn’t make $9k in 15 min.
    Homeowner still has to be approved for financing. They still have to sign the contract. Permit approved and Solar has to be installed.

    Hmm you can only get a OFFSET of 100%(which means no electric bill) in ONLY A FEW AREAS LIKE CALI , ARIZONA…. Anywhere else your not getting enough sun to produce that much…. Even with a massive massive solar set up … only benefit from solar is getting BATTERY BACK UP …instead of 30k gas set up or even your house generator back up
