I’m not gonna lie I probably only agree with two of these this is basically just injured players and Russ after having one bad season being here is crazy, watson just came back relax and Kirk actually had a decent season tbh him with Ridley will be good this season
I imagined it. I always said the Seahawks were good because of their defense and running game. Wilson was always average and relied heavily on scrambling to throw the deep ball.
@@EmptyHand49: To the Seahawks fans who have nothing better to do than spiel butthurt bitter baby mama bs, I need to remind you of something: The LoB-Marshawn Lynch argument is Utter nonsense, and if you really believed that Russ was carried, you wouldn’t be going out of your way to try to convince Broncos fans NOT to get excited. That D and run game didn’t do sh!t until Russ arrived. They averaged 7-9 before Russ was drafted, and Russ averaged 11-5 after they were gone! I was THERE, so I know. The LoB was depleted by massive injuries in 2015 (Russ carried the team!), and an average D at best in 2016 and 2017. There was essentially no LoB after 2015, and Beast Mode fake-retired after returning from a fake injury (bitter over not getting the ball in SB49) and giving up an targeted interception that cost the Seahawks an NFC Championship birth in 2015. Do you understand how deep down the toilet the Seahawks would have been from 2015-2020 without Russ? Apparently, you’re living under some delusion that Pete Carroll is truly a great NFL coach, that Beast Mose was Barry Sanders, and that the LoB was the Steel Curtain! Neither is true. Russ CARRIED that team (a fact Pete Carroll readily admitted in 2020), and if not for his ability to play lights-out in the fourth quarters of games, after the LoB and Pete Carroll dug second-half holes by getting torched, the Seahawks wouldn’t have gone to either Super Bowl. The LoB also cost Russ a SB in his rookie year, or have you forgotten how they followed up Russ’s would-be game-winning drive by getting torched by Matt Ryan and Julio Jones for the length of the field inside of the final 30 seconds of the NFC Divisional at Atlanta? Don’t start that garbage, because I remember everything…every missed assignment, every blown second-half lead, every elite receiver who torched B!tchard Sherman (he could only cover average receivers), and every time those injury-prone airheads cost the team with dumb penalties. I remember Michael Bennett and Kam Chancellor holding out for more money to start the 2015 season when they had just signed new extensions and this had zero leverage. The real reason they held out was to try to force trades…bitter over the SB49 loss. Kam’s replacement cost the Seahawks 3 games by giving up all three game-losing TDs. The Seahawks could easily have entered the 2015 playoffs as a #1 seed, which would have guaranteed them another SB birth, but the LoB pulled their shenanigans and mucked up the whole program! That season, while guys sat out for various “injuries” (quite-fingers) Russ put together the greatest 7-week stretch by a QB in NFL history!!! He was the reason the Seahawks even made the playoffs that year, and he was the reason the Seahawks advanced past the Vikings to face the Panthers in that year’s divisional. He has broken more records than anyone can fathom, and they’re records owned by the likes of Montana, Brady, Rodgers, Unitas, Young, and others. Quit trying to revise history. If all Seahawks coaches were alive and available for a mock draft, and they could choose in order from every Seahawks player in history, Russ’s name would be first off the board without question! Every coach, including Jack Patera, Mike McCormack, Chuck Knox, Dennis Erickson, Mike Holmgren, Jim Mora, Jr., and Pete Carroll would take Russ FIRST. It wouldn’t even be a debate. All due respect for Steve Largent, Walter Jones, Kenny Easley, Cortez Kennedy, Dave Brown, Shaun Alexander, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Fredd Young, Sherman Smith, the B!tchard, and all of the rest, but no player had the impact Russ had. And with his talents, calling him “average” sounds incredibly stupid. It’s clear that Seahawks fans know what they lost. From 2012 to 2020, there wasn’t a better or more consistently great QB in the entire league, and that includes Brady and Rodgers. Russ’s stats are ridiculously dominant! Only Brady won more, and that was because Belichick’s is a superior coach to Pete Carroll. Go comment on Seahawks posts and stay out of here with the bs.
@@DeCurtaRican There is still plenty time. It’s only been one season so far, but some people are stubborn after one whole season. They should move Jamal Adams to LB actually. Christian Kirk was an asset last year for Lawrence and the Jags and will be even more an asset this year with Ridley on the other side. I think Deshaun Watson will be better this year with a full offseason.
Why is the Russell Wilson deal worst than the Deshaun Watson one? Deshaun’s deal was fully guaranteed and he hasn’t played a full year yet? Also, can’t the Broncos eventually cut Wilson if it gets too bad?
Ronnie Stanley's contract isn't bad, Ravens just got unlucky with that freak injury against the Steelers. When he is available he is still on of the best LT in the league
Not gonna lie, I'm surprised Kyler Murray's contract didn't make this list. Around 250 to 260 million dollars and didn't even earn it. Still shocked he got that.
What I'm saying is, the max contract for a year would be x amount of dollars, regardless of position. Do this by year. I think it would control this crazy spending that is hurting the league.
Players won’t accept contracts structured like that. The crazy spending is due to this year to year deals. Watch what happened when Players get tagged with the franchise tag the player is upset. Because of the risk of a fall off or injury can derail a big pay out deal for agents and players as teams will move on from someone who can’t play the same anymore.
Players have agents who push for money because the playing prime for any player is 23-33. Ten years. You play out a good rookie deal for 3 to 5 years, get a franchise tag that’s 4-6 years if you land a contract, you only got one chance at a huge deal. After a 4 to 6 year deal, you’ll finish that deal well after your prime for many positions. 7 to 12 year later, you are in your 30s no matter what. Teams won’t pay an aging player. I get both sides of it. Teams make millions off you playing good, you only have 10 years to make all your playing career cash before your ability falls off a cliff.
The Broncos do. His contract has the most money and duration. The Broncos went all in that if it doesn’t work out, it will be another decade to recover from his cap hit for the next 6 years and to rebuild as a losing team, you need draft capital, Broncos won’t get draft capital for another 2 years. Horrible deal for Denver. They won with Manning. Russ is only more of last year.
