When you evaluate players contracts, you must incorporate 2 additional things besides what you mentioned in your video: 1. “Current dollar value vs. future dollar value”. 2. Off-field-dollar value on top of on-field-dollar value. Let me explain. Ohtani’s $700 million contract will be paid $20 million for the first 10 years and $680 million for the subsequent 10 years. Therefore, when it’s calculated current annual value, it’s $48 million annually, on top of the fact that the actual hard earned dollar Dodgers need to dish out is $2 million which gives Dodgers the opportunity to re-invest $46 million in various projects. 2. Ohtani is bringing additional revenues to Dodgers in terms of ticket sales, merchandizings, broadcasting rights from Japan which is the second biggest baseball market, future media rights on Ohtani, e.t.c. Overall, just adding Ohtani on Dodgers roster, Dodgers cash flow is POSITIVE. That’s $700 million business investment on Dodgers part, not salary contract.
for this season alone..there some source said..he already generate income for dodger nearly 500mil..but i think mayb more...and yet they pay him only 2 mil this season...
Xander Bogaerts is my favorite player of all time and is the reason why I am a baseball fan. I can guarantee it’s not my personal bias going after the Bogaerts contract
I agree with you on the seager contract, it is the Devers contract that really bugs me. This guy is not the great hitter everyone says he is, and defensively I'd rather have most high school 3rd baseman out there. He is aweful! Simply aweful! Fantastic video once again! I'd sign you in a minute to make baseball videos. 30 years / 3 billion dollars.
Did you like the more edited style more than my regular videos? Or did you like the less edited style I’ve been using? Also Devers is a really good hitter but he has his cold streaks, but overall he’s good
I don't want to seem indecisive, but either style works great as long as your humor, sarcasm and personality continue to shine through. In short, 'you crack me up!'. You are doing a great job. Maybe a mixture of both styles would be my answer
Also, I knew you would hate what I wrote about Devers! Is there a stat you can find to see if the runs scored by opposing teams due to errors by Devers exceeds his RBI total? I'd love to know!
The MLB is an industry worth over 75 billion dollars which brings in multiple billion every year, the players which make that possible do deserve millions of dollars.

Ohtani contract is definitely A+

this video aging like fine wine with Ohtani prediction.

Xander was worth a whole WAR above turner btw.
I just hate how long his contract is and he’s a year older than trea
@@peskytalk he was better defensively and offensively than trea last year. u have some serious bias in these rankings

You rank Cabrera as a Tiger above Kaline, Gehringer, and Cobb???
I love the clown music for the Rendon section.
You said Cabrera is a better Tiger than Ty Cobb?!? Besides that Great video 😂!
It’s definitely debatable imo! Cobb obviously is a legend but so is Miggy!
Grading a contract (like Seager's) that is barely two years old with 8 years left is kinda like cheating. Let's see how it looks in 5 or six years.
i have no other option, I took into account future values in all of these contracts and I think it'll still be an A+ contract by the end of it.
Did you forget who judge did
This is already outdated after Yamamoto LMFAO
What in the world it’s mike trout
He mkes more than the whole dam team in a year
I like how Alex Rodriguez had a great contract and a terrible contract
true
Common sense tells me NOBODY deserves to be payed million of dollars a year to play any sport.
The MLB is an industry worth over 75 billion dollars which brings in multiple billion every year, the players which make that possible do deserve millions of dollars.
I don’t agree with some of these
Well you’re entitled to your own opinions but which ones do you disagree with?
