I think the lower Nilou usage rates are maybe due to the dendro specters on 12-2-1, which are annoying for a bloom comp.
Yeah. And trying to survive with a Nilou team against Coppelia is not exactly fun.
It was the same last abyss actually, when first side was especially good for nilou
Yup, this is my case as a Nilou main, last abyss first half was a breeze with her, but man those Dendro specters are annoying.
Specially when my team is purely bloom based and I'm just lazy to use Yelan instead of Kokomi in that team. 🙃

Xiao is lower not because he isn't a shiny toy now, but because the 1st chamber which is perfect for xiao is full of anemo resistant enemies
Well there is the second side which is pretty good (especially for people who know how to get collision plunge hits). I think usage rates are generally much more about the knowledge and trends of the people submitting. While they probably know more on average than a typical player, I would guess that most of them are just pretty highly invested players (either been around for a long time and/or spend). They probably know a reasonable amount, but most of them are probably not super technical, and at the end of the day they are just playing things that they find fun. Damage (especially at high investment), comfort, and newness all play into their decisions.
Many of them probably don't know the resistances of all the enemies, and may also not know that Xiao is actually very good in single target (because of collision plunges).
They know some things, but not everything so the reason he is lower is likely a combination of not being new (or rather Xianyun being new), and not knowing that he is still very good on the second half.
@@kanoaikayeah I've seen a lot of people say xiao's main strength is aoe so they probably don't bother using him in single target even if he does well, specially if they have any other st carry

@@alatus_knight I would say it is true that he is relatively better in AOE (simply because he is one of the few carries that has significant AOE damage) but I don't think that simply being the most relatively strong in AOE is sufficient to explain the usage rates.
For example Neuvilette is extremely similar in that he is one of the few carries with AOE. And in traditional teams he doesn't even have any extra damage that he can get only in single target like Xiao. Despite this lots of people still use him in ST.
Going back to your argument. If people have Xiao and are simply not using him because of the reason you mentioned, that is not because there isn't a good place to run him, it would also include people who would have run him had they known that (especially with the Xianyun team) he is competitive in ST even with practically ST locked teams like Hu Tao.
@@kanoaika xiao is still widely underrated among the general playerbase. Xiao performs really good in both ST and AoE scenarios. But he has been regarded as an AoE carry for 3 years, and people probably don't know about his potential at ST now with xianyun. That could be the reason why he isn't used in the second half.
And according to my knowledge, ST focused teams are more widely seen than Aoe focused teams. So there is a less incentive to use xiao for the 2nd chamber, since there a lot of other options
Xiao being that high when the final boss in floor 12 has high anemo resistance is crazy
as soneone who used a well invested xiao to beat crappelia without a shielder, it was surprisingly fine simply for the fact that he can jump over her attacks.
He with his Furina faruzan xianyun team did so well despite the anemo resistance on the first half of chamber 3
Xianyun specializes in single target dps so xiao can do well. I even managed to beat wenut last abyss with xiao.
Nahida works fine. Specially on second half. The dendro chicken is hella weak even with dendro resistance. The only problem is actually the second half third chamber, where you need to time your rotations really well without claymore/geo.
Yeah, that's basically what I was thinking. Chocobo is a wuss, and has been used plenty in the Abyss, without dendro drop off. Final boss with his shield, that seems more likely. Additionally, this Abyss is a bit more geo friendly, so people with geo characters will be more inclined to use them this Abyss, and that pushes aside some of the usual staples. Nahida isn't one that goes well with geo, and that, combined with other factors, means she takes the hit.
That said, I've cleared the Abyss with the same teams against both sides, and, when it resets, the one with Nahida in it will be smashing the bottom half. Although, admittedly, that team is my Dehya, Kuki, Nahida, and Fischl team, so has both a claymore user and overloads. Needless to say, 12-3-2 boss is not a problem in the slightest.
Bringing a Zhongli makes it very comfy too. Though you usually don’t want geo in Dendro comps, so it’s not at all surprising she fell off some.
I used Raiden Overload for a pretty easy 2nd half. C1 Chevreuse too.
@@Glast04 Yeah, by that rule, you would either be going spread/aggravate or you would have ER issues due to going hyperbloom without a duo element.
@@Axterix13 Yeah, all of them is very doable. People are just using what they think is more comfy instead of what is faster, but yeah. Either way in the end of the day, if it works, it works okay!
Navia's popularity in the usage rate has much to do with not only the ST oriented second half but the freaking Field Generator Pro Max's geo shield. Crystallize does damage to geo shields, Navia, is a claymore user who already has a plunge team to begin with, and she CAN be used with Chiori. Also having Chiori there means she can cause damage to the geo shields over time while the boss is emitting shockwaves or causing eruptions on the ground around unlike Albedo or Zhongli where the shockwaves would just destroy those geo constructs.
Not a surprise that Bennett is in the A-tier. When Sumeru pushed away from Bennett, Fontaine brought it back with Navia, Wriothesley, Lyney, Chevreuse, and Xianyun. Looks like Bennett will never retire and Arlecchino will be another one added to Bennett reliance list
Ironic for the land of hydro, only have 2 HP scalers and be almost non-existent until Natlan arrives.
Navia is broken for this abyss. She destroys all the bosses on the 1 boss side. My navia is c0 with her weapon and I think I destroyed the field generator in 30 or 40 seconds. Just tapped E for 200,000+ damage and spammed plunge attacks while I had geo infusion then did it again. Navia makes 36* on these boss abysses so easy
Navia is also a newer character, so people are more likely to use her, especially newer players. And she's geo, so people are less likely to pull for her unless they want to play with her.
for me the tru identity what geo should be is navia. not only working thowards their own element with wallet as scale of the power but working together with other element. hope mhy realize this
@@Axterix13There are probably very few new players in this dataset. This is self submitted from people who 36* the abyss. Really technical players who have already been playing Genshin may be able to 36* in a patch or two, but most of the people here are probably long time players with pretty high investment. Personally I started in 3.7, first beat floor 12 in 4.0 and didn't 36* until 4.4 (I'm pretty technical, and have done alot of work and calculation, and planning to try to 36* as soon as possible).
That said you are still correct about your end point. This is still at its root a popularity contest. Most of these people are just well invested with some knowledge about the game--not super technical, not interested in low investment/less flashy teams, and generally have enough investment to play the teams they like instead of having to play the strongest team they can. There are some people who do choose the very strongest team they can after doing lots of research and testing (either because they are lower investment and need to, or because they find it fun), but for every one of those there are a bunch more who don't bother because they don't need/want to. There is some overlap in their choices, but only in some of the more obvious things (e.g. everyone knows that Furina, Kazuha, Nahida, and such are good). They are generally much less likely to know the details of more nuanced characters (especially if they aren't already interested in them for some other reason).
The most liked and most obviously strong (to a normal player) will be at the top, and most everything else doesn't tell you much because you can't expect most people to know how to play, and own all the many characters in the game. For example Klee's usage rate has remined pretty constant and low (4% range) despite getting much more powerful with both Furina and Xianyun. Why? Probably because people don't know about the new teams, are convinced she is weak (maybe even because of past usage rates lol), or simply aren't interested because she is old or they don't like her. Funnily enough it seems that the community all specifically thinks "Klee is clunky" and "you have to animation cancel alot" which had some truth in many old teams, but is nearly or completely irrelevant for new teams (The Furina vape team can do most combos because it only needs to keep a pyro aura for Furina and the Xinyun team is just a plunge team (which most people don't find clunky).
tl;dr its a popularity contest among mostly high invested, somewhat (but not very) knowledgeable, and mostly long-time players. As a result it best tells what they are having fun with along with the community perception of how strong characters (which is correct for obvious ones but may not be for less popular ones).

Corrections: changed the claim from 'no new players' to 'few new players' obviously there are some big spenders who started recently, really lucky people, and new people who are just exceptionally skilled at the game, but these are likely a very small percentage of the dataset so they likely don't have a big effect on the overall results.

Well yeah he's useful. Navia steals my Zhongli from my other team a lot so I end up using Kirara or Layla depending on my team comp if I need a shielder on team 2.
I didn't need a second shielder this abyss but I used Layla in the last two abysses and Kirara before that. Don't be fooled though, they are literally just shield bots lol.

Yeah i was surprised how well it did against boss with anemo resistance
I mean idk how many people know this so they may not be doing this, but Xiao (even more so with Xianyun) does incrediblly well in single target when you get collision hits on your plunges. Because of that he would actually perform pretty well on the second half (which isn't what most people expect--most people seem to think he is just for AOE).
Being above Coppelia's head helps immensely with survivability. I just did physical plunges when my burst wasn't up to clear in time.
@@gna2724If you have a choice, try running Xiao on the second side (with the bosses). Xiao actually have very high single target damage (especially with Xianyun and if you go close to the boss to get collision plunge hits).
I don't really understand why Hoyo is making anti cryo abys for like more than a year or so. They have to put cryo aura or high cryo res boss. If not that they are particularly throwing one boss in both so that Ayaka can't be used there. It's understandable if they do it 2-3 patch then give them a favourable chamber. But it's been long since they gave any chamber which specifiecially suit cryo.
Duh, obviously, cryo enemies are the worst and the most annoying enemies to deal with compared to other elemental enemies 😅😅
Yea it’s quite a shame. My Ayaka and Ganyu have been able to dog walk the nonsense we’ve been being thrown since forever though, so keep it coming 😂
Whenever they do Ayaka's usage rate shoots up. So many CN players have high con ayaka and shenhe. I think when they do that it makes people pull less on new characters. But that's just my guess.
Its interesting how low Itto is on his own geo patch given mono geo absolutely slaps this abyss
itto's usage suffers because of mono geo. chiori didn't really change anything for his teams besides some extra dmg, so not a lot of people have pulled for him. he remains one of the least owned limited 5-stars.
@@Shiiwata Usage rate is based on how many people own the character though.
If Itto has low usage rate it means that of the people who own him only 13.8% played him this abyss. So either they got him by accident or decided they don't like his game play to the point where they won't play him even when Geo has a bonus.

The Itto half of the abyss is better catered to Navia than Itto as well lol.

All the other characters have been using this rate to determine how decent they are but now suddenly Baizhu can't be measured by this lol ??? 😏 Double standard?
@@Hezkun It's not just Cyno. Baizhu is widely used in Neuvillette teams because he's the best at maximizing Furina's fanfare stacks.
Funnily enough this is one of the best Abyss cycles for C6 Dori.
She is so naturally tanky with her abnormally high def stat and that with her skill and burst she can just tank everything. Even Copellia can be face tanked with absolute ease.
They're really doubling down on mechanics & enemies that don't favour freeze. They're welcome to try all they want, I'm still not abandoning it.

A lot of content creators tend to push Zhongli to the side because he doesn't add as much damage-wise compared to someone like Kazuha, but man... When your HP starts going down at a rate of 5000 per second, you're gonna love that shield! Not to mention your main DPS will never stop swinging.
Yeah, I think there are two key factors:
1) Most players aren't that good at dodging as those that play the game for a living, so they are more in need of healing/shielding.
2) Abyss rewards are binary: you either make the time cut off or you don't. Therefore, if you can have a nice relaxed assured time with the Zhongli team rather than risk failure with the higher DPS variant, most players will take the Zhongli route. Especially when previous reliance on Zhongli has made them worse at avoiding damage ;)
@@Axterix13 That and I like my string of normal attacks not being broken by dodging, though I do lean more towards the attack, attack, attack type playstyle.

I agree. Dodging is a dps loss. I can do 2 - 3 hits in the same time frame that I am dodging. Many players in Genshin only see high damage numbers but not the damage consistency. They'd rather deal 500k every 3 seconds than deal 300k every second.
@@iloveplumpgrannies174 dodging can be a DMG loss however if you can successful dodge at least some of the enemy hits and you have someone that will be a meaningfull DMG increase over zonglie, it's USUALLY better to use them. And btw people are not that dumb!😂. 300k per second is 900k in 3 seconds, compared to 500k it's almost double😅

There are a lot of dumb people in the community who only see that big 500k number every 3 seconds and immediately assume it's better than a consistent 300k per second since having a shield allows you to just keep hitting. If you compare 500k to 300k, yeah it's a damage loss but if you consider the consistency, it's not a damage loss.
It's the same concept as crit damage vs crit rate. Concentrating your stats on Crit damage can give you high damage number but how often can you land a successful crit when your crit rate is so low. A lot of content creators who only care about damage per screenshot do multiple trials before they get to land a successful crit before posting it on youtube. And many gullible genshin players get amazed by it not realizing how many times they had to retry.

as someone who never bothered to perfect my eula build for abyss, i gotta say eula is one of the most consistent abyss runners even tho shes maybe not the best

I usually just use that team for events. Farms points pretty good. In abyss I'd rather use them seperately since their BiS supports don't overlap.

@@Glast04 To be honest, the brute force from bloom and his raw damage coverage in AOE is good. It just will not draw both at their best. And most abyss these days can have waves of 2 even after AOE so I mostly just use it in events.

This makes me proud of getting 36 stars using my yoimiya overload team for the 2nd half, its really fun but that final chamber was so tough with the geo shield and constant dodging
Ayaka had been my most regretful pull as a newer player since almost none of the newer abyss are good for freeze. Why did they have to stick copellia in the third chamber.....
I have C2 ayaka with mist, and i almost never use here these days. Even when freeze works, it's just much better to use a carry that is more consistent at delivering their theoretical sheet dps.
She is still good to brute forcing content with how frontloaded her damage is tho, if you don't mind restarting a couple of times when you miss your shit.
Ngl I would pull for Ayaka happily any day if Furina couldnt walk on water. That was one really good thing about her which isnt there now.
She was incredible just last abyss. She’s a great character to have, and shreds anything that can be frozen. I do hate hoyo for not buffing freeze at all though.
It's obvious why they're doing it - Abyss is hardly an enjoyable piece of content, it's mainly used as an incentive for more casual players to pull on-banner five stars. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. The main similarity between pretty much any abyss rotation is the Mickey Mouse difficulty, so as long as you're properly invested on both sides, you should be fine.

For me, the biggest surprise is how low Hu Tao is compared to how I expected taking into account second side is full single target
Also, I think Zhongli's usage rate is more based on the fact that he can take care of the shield in 12-3 almost immediately more than his defensive contribution, but maybe that's just for me

Agreed. I think it's far more about 12-3-2 than it is about his comfort on the dancers.
hu tao is "low" because her ownership rate is high. in reality, she was used more often than chiori and xianyun, who show up a rank above her.

another reason why chiori is so high is because she is the least owned limited 5-star as of right now. out of the 172.554 submissions, only 15.378 people own her and out of those only 7566 used her in this abyss.
Maybe I'm the one of the few people who uses Neuvillette, Furina, VV Jean, Petra Zhongli team

That used to be my team, but later changed it to Kazuha and Charlotte for a quick freeze and that nice grouping and dmg buff from Kazuha... My Neuvillette is C1 so no Zhongli needed anymore
I'd still use Charlotte and Jean over Baizhu tho.... His element doesn't make any sense in Neuvillette team, without atleast another electro.... 😅

Somewhat like me, when I use Ganyu as Ayaka support until I get Shenhe... I hate charged attacks playstyle, only exception is for the one with fluffy ears .....
@@Kaihiwatari705Because C0 Neuv has no interruption resistance, Zhongli provides res shred, Petra, and a stack of past draconic glories? It’s not hard to understand lol. Neuvillette also heals himself considerably so you don’t even need a healer to gain a lot of fanfare stacks on a Neuvillette Furina team. By the second chamber onward, you likely won’t be able to get max fanfare anymore. But that’s not at all necessary since you’ll still be outputting a ton of damage and chilling thanks to Zhongli.

I don't have Baizhu but for some time now I've been using Neuvillette, Furina, Fischl, Jean and Navia, Bennett, Xiangling, Zhongli in the abyss and I 36* every time. Love these teams

Exactly what I was thinking. I don't love Kuki's healing mechanic, but mine is like yours in terms of numbers, and it wasn't hard to get there.
Mine has level 5 talent and already heals 2.1k with 870 base em(without nahida and guilded buffs)
i think he hasn't leveled up her talents because even a full em kuki should be able to heal round 3k

TGS's Nilou might be collecting dust but mine isnt LOL.
I cleared 1st side with Nilou/Nahida/Kokomi/Baizhu this time.
Petra Zhongli is nice with c1 Neuv + furina team so that's why I've been using him
my baizhu is also a very comfy unit. glad to see him thrive!
6:00I mean like, call me crazy but Ganyu has aged way better and is way mote flexible than Ayaka, Ayaka will always be tied to freeze teams, meanwhile Ganyu can go into both freeze (where her ult is more important) and melt teams (where her CA are more important) teams, in fact this abyss hasn’t been that much of a problem for Ganyu at all imo, melt Ganyu can do just fine in the 2nd half.
Actually now that i’ve already started talking about Ganyu, as someone who has had her since 2.4 im willing to die on the hill that Ganyu is still strong and is still a great meta unit despite what so many people say, especially after Nahida and surprisingly also Dehya released Ganyu got some pretty nice new melt teams
(not to mention that as a unit who can fit 2 very different playstyles she’s more likely to age well by having a higher chance of finding future synergies and skyrocketing back into the top-tier meta than someone like Ayaka)
1. Battle of mid these days since freeze keeps getting hard countered.
2. Yea no melt ganyu does either zero damage or runs out of energy or has cringe rotations. You need to show me gameplay live-streamed to convince me her melt teams are easier and stronger then say a normal wrio team or a haithem team.
And no having a c6/ top 1% Akasha ganyu is not a good argument.
Aged better than ayaka? Fair assessment
Still strong? Depends on what you mean by strong. I'm getting like 65k dps out of my ganyu, nahida, bennett, dehya with aqua sim and floating dreams, which is okayish, but i wouldn't consider that strong.

(To start all my units are C0 except Bennett who is C1, although i was lucky enough to get Skyward Harp for my Ganyu)
Here are 2 teams:
Ganyu, Nahida, Dehya and Bennett:
Nahida skill into burst, Dehya skill (my Dehya is on sacrificial sword and ToTM) and then Benny burst into skill, swap back to Ganyu and E into 3-3 CA.
Now, admittedly version of this team isn’t dealing too much damage per rotation yet since i literally forgot to lvl my Benny until 4.3 since that’s when i returned to the game after a very long hiatus and before that hiatus i wasn’t using him in any team (i know, 💀 emoji moment) and i haven’t farmed much for Nahida and Dehya at all since i got em last update and that was unplanned, but still my average dmg pet rotation on that team is like 500-600k per rotation so it’s ok for me for now.
Ganyu, Nahida, Kazuha and Bennett:
Nahida skill into burst, then Ganyu arrow or E for cryo app, then Benny burst without hitting the enemy and then Kazuha ult on benny burst, this rotation guarantees a cryo swirl (at least on the first rotation) and constant Pyro application for Ganyu CA melt.
This team’s damage per rotation and per Ganyu CA although not peak (since my Kazuha still lacks EM and my Ganyu crit damage) is way better than the other team’s damage, with my Ganyu averaging around 240k per CA (counting both hits ofc) and the teams damage per rotation being around 800-900k.
Now admittedly both these teams have pros and cons, in my experience the first team has the pros of being better for fights where the enemies come in waves and helps Ganyu not die/get interrupted so easily because of Dehya, but as a con it does significantly less damage than the second team, and the second team has the pro of doing a lot of damage and being great for boss fights but it has the downside of having a not so fun rotation after the 1st one because it can get hard for Kazuha to swirl Cryo.
So yeah that’s it i rest my case, people just deny Ganyu’s damage because admittedly her playstyle isn’t for everyone, but that doesn’t change the fact that 3 years later she still has a bazooka for a CA lol
(Also just to adress ur point 2. idk why ur talking about energy bruh like Ganyu melt doesn’t even use her burst that is literally a non-issue xD)
I only have 2 teams:
1.HuTao, Furina, Xingqiu, Charlotte
2.Keqing,Fischl,Nahida, Zhongli
I need more teams but, don't have the DPS's I'm pulling Neuvilette
By that point run Wriothesley. Same flexibility but far better in freeze.
No his c0 isn’t bad. Unlike what a certain TC who cooked a godawful burgeon team with him said, he is perfectly good at C0. C1 is great and I agree that should’ve been a part of his kit but the whole thing was overblown asf.
I unbenched my zhongli because of chamber 3 second half boss with the geo shield. he can just be added to any team (in my case an aggrevate one) and shred the shield
i hav been killing the Coppelia with kokomi hyperbloom since 1969. i dont regret skipping nebulette at all surely.
Noobillette is design mistake. He is so stupidly boring op that I only use him when I have no time or will to play to clear my dailies and resin asap.

For the second half I actually just used my Gaming (only C2) and it worked amazingly, especially against the last boss in Chamber 3.
Tbf though, I used his best team (+Furina, Xianyun, Bennett).
For the first half I just used Yae Miko Quickbloom and dodged while the turrets did their damage lol
I took Faruzan C6, Xiao C0R1, Furina C2, Xianyun C0 and Zhongli C1, Navia C0R1, Xiangling C6R1EL, Bennett C5R1 for all four floors this time. Got 36* with 12 battle fought. Xiao comp felt really exciting to use on first half of floor 12 because I was having to constantly keep an eye on Hp bar; during the initial setup in chamber 3, XIanyun got staggered during E and was down to only 123Hp. It got me thinking who should I replace If I want to fit Zhongli in the team.
ayato feels really good this abyss, since his national team will output a lot of damage and on the first half, 2nd floor he has area coverage for the pyro shielder, not letting him get to shielding in the first place or destroying them really quick
Ayato pretty much always feels good and has a team that can be used in abyss. Neuvi is stronger, but Ayato is still very much in the meta
As someone who uses ayaka all the time this abyss is so awesome for her. Took her and furina thru 1st half and it was so much fun. Didn't use her burst against those 2 in 12-1-1 and just cut them down. They actually fight back which is great. Then 12-3-1 they have the resistance which is good for me lol. Then I ran her second half it was her, nahida, kuki, and zhongli lol. I was kinda surprised how fast everything died with that team.
I have c6 eula and raiden and this abyss is giving me absolute heck on 12-2 lmao
Your analysis is spot on! I tried normal hyperbloom and couldn‘t survive Coppelia. Then switched the double hydro to furina baizhu, boom 9 stars. same in the last chamber with the shield. once I figured out Zhongli breaks the shield instantly I cleared easily. and this is only my second 9-star abyss!
Wanderer (C1, with Faruzan C6) to me feels incredibly good to use, and a great choice for anything except enemies with high Anemo resistance.
He performs very well both against static enemies and moving/flying enemies. He also performs very well in both single target and multi target, and in case of multi-wave.
His teams also have enough flexibility to deal well enough with shields of any element.
I can choose from a variety of good shielders for his team when I feel like I need it, while still having high DPS.
I don’t like Wanderer as a character and I hate his voice lines, but despite that he is almost always in my team because of how convenient it is. Wanderer is the reason why I barely enjoy any of my other teams anymore.
My other on-field damage dealers are:
- Hu Tao C1 (I use her).
- Childe C4 (I rarely use him, his best team requires too much effort to me, just to perform similarly to easier to use teams, when things go well). He is my favourite character, hence why I went so far with his constellation despite knowing it is bad.
- Ganyu and Ayaka C0 (I rarely use them). I really like Ayaka, for her personality.
- Itto C2 (I’m not satisfied at all with his performance, but I use him sometimes).
- Kokomi C1 (her best Hydro team is very comfortable and safe, I use it sometimes).
- Tighnari and Keqing (I raised them just for fun because I had them).
I admire Neuvillette for his performance and efficiency. I think he is an amazing character, but I didn’t get him on my main account, because I didn’t enjoy his gameplay.
I rarely get new damage dealers now. I’m waiting for something that is both very efficient and of my liking (gameplay wise, because I don’t consider the aesthetic and the personality of the characters when choosing what to pull for). In the meantime, I mostly get supports.

I used Ayato C2/Nahida CO/Fischl C0/Kuki C6, but for the last chamber I had to put Furina C2/Kokomi C0/Xiangling C6/Fischl in to break the shield (overload+xiangling plunge).
Most older account probably just want to play 3 teams all the way through and opted for geo on the second side so they didnt have to replay
this is my first 36 star abyss I used hyperbloom in the first half with kokomi as my main healer and hydro applicator so If you have barbara built you can also use her
I did the first side with Nilou. Dendro specters fall to c2r1 Nahida and Nilou giving res shred, plus Barbara c2 hydro damage bonus. Coppelia is a test of "can you press barbara ult fast enough" whenever it matters.
i agree, Alhaitham's quickbloom weakness is it's defense. when i use them and there's hard htting boss like coppelia, i tend to switch yelan for xingqui just to boost defense, but even then if i failed on dodging, i get punished hard - alhaitham get's knocked back which means lost dps and worst he dies
on my first run, i've tried Alhaitham Quickbloom on the first half and XiaoRina on the second, but it was quite especially XiaoRina at the 3rd chamber of floor 12, the teams i found the best in clearing this abyss is Neuvilette hypercarry (with Furina, Zhongl, Kazuha) and RaTional Team (Raiden-Xingqui-Bennett-Xiangling)
I had to change my usual teams to be able to beat the robot on the last chamber 2nd half 💀 I usually go neuvillette/furina/zhongli/kazuha + the usual haitham quickbloom and I honestly had no issues on the 1st two floors, haitham and co. Shreded the dendro chicken with no issues but the last chamber??? Mf robot. So i dusted off my dehya put her with neuvillette and instead put zhongli with alhaitham for a spread team (lmao) with nahida and fischl, which I rarely use despite having a well invested alhaitham. I somehow finished coppelia way faster with the dehya/neuvi combo (probably bc of the few vaporizes I got) and I finished the robot with time to spare.
I don't think dendro is necesarily over since they can still clear abyss but the lineup is kinda weird where it might benefit it one chamber but not on the next. And its mostly for hyperbloom or nilou bloom teams. Aside from that my haitham quickbloon teams has had no problem clearing any abyss since 4.0
If you use Ayaka/Shenhe/Furina/Jean the team comp is pretty nice and does well in single target. Ayaka of course needs emblem.
It is sad how cryo/freeze has fallen off so much.
Ayaka in 2.0 allowed me to start getting 36 stars in abyss consistently.
Nowadays I only use my freeze team in floors 9-10 and rarely 11 for old times sake and speed since you can freeze and CC the enemies into neat little piles.
pretty tame SA, quite a bummer I don't have Zhongli to quick shred the last boss shield so in the end I use Diluc vapor plunge team.
I got Ayaka on her last rerun with a lucky ten pull with zero pity and I still regret it. I want those ten wishes back.
Heh, was going into it without guide and was barely able to clear. First half Kokomi-Furina-Fishl-Kazuha, felt pretty good, second half my usual Raiden-Nahida-XQ-YY, its enough damage and can facetank anything with YY and XQ. But in this abyss last floor felt painful, definitely swapping out YY for ZL next time for the shieldbreak. Funnily enough I end up clearing wenut with mono hydro, not hyperbloom so for me it is inverse: no Nahida before, yes Nahida now.
Not too surprised about Nilou honestly. When she works she's absolutely amazing but there are a few hard counters, like dendro immunity or cryo shields. I still haven't done the abyss yet but good to know that Navia is holding strong. Might use her on first half this time and Tighnari with ZL on second half.
It’s not a problem trust me I help lazy new players people clear abyss and c0r0 Nilou still dumpsters on the specters because she can easily slot in a Yelan/kok/Neuv.
I'm so curious to see Navia longer term, so far we've had her debut abyss where she was (always going to be) high in usage, then wenut abyss which semi countered her and she fell off hard, now this one that is super tailor made for her and shes back up very high. I want to see her in a neutral abyss to see which way popularity swings.

The second floor chamber 1 has dendro specters wich made hard to use Nilou on that side
Chev teams just easily dominate the second side, her burst easily destroy chunks of that geo shield with no strict rotations required and overload totally helps a lot, results speak to itself even just using 4 stars with C6 Bennett.
I didn't notice too much difference this abyss so surprised by usage rates. I used Navia Double Hydro in first half and Alhaitham Hyperbloom in 2nd. Hyperbloom v gravity boss was a little cringe to play and I would swap teams around if I do it again, but I still got 36* after a couple resets so whatever
I brought Ayaka to fight the side with Coppelia and did wonder why my Ayaka's ult wasn't taking down half their HP lol. I still cleared with 3 star but now I know they have high cryo resistance.
I didnt have any of the S-tier chars on the list so i had to improvise. First half i used hyperbloom, stacking hydro dmg with yelan and xinqiu, along with nahida and kuki. The other half is just navia and albedo, with strong pyro supports.
You just listed characters in S tier.

for those who want to run hyperbloom on the secod half, play razor hyperbloom. his claymore help to dismantle shield quickly. my razor h.bloom consist of nahida, razor, xinqiu, kuki. if you have baizhu or yao yao you can swap them for nahida, and swap kuki with fischl for higher single target damage.
upgrading from Hutao double hydro with eland and Xinqui to Hutoa double hydro with Furina and Xianyun has made abyss trivial

Oh wow. I tried this my first time through and didn't finish in the full eight minutes I had. Dropped Navia into my Nahida team and was done in 40 seconds. You're a better Nahida user than me. :)
I used a navia noelle chiori team and yoimiya team and did it first try, had way more trouble with the goofy 2 giant worms
I'm very surprised Diluc is this low. I just easily 36* this abyss with Xianyun, Diluc, Bennett and Furina. Diluc is one of units that benefited the most from Xianyun's release, you'd think more people played him at least in this abyss. Weird.
Ever since I got Zhongli back in 1.4 he never left my abyss team even once, simply bc I hate dodging. I did try Alhaitham team on the second half and got oneshot, so I put him back and ditched Alhaitham. Cleared in one run, using Yelan as the driver instead.

i made wierd hayperbloom team for first half,nahida,furina,kuki,kokomi,thats works perfect,and hu tao double hydro second half
I used Keqing, Fischl, Kazuha, Nahida (healer: prototype amber) and Diluc, Xianyun, Furina, Mona.
The other thing people don't talk about with Zhongli, is that his shield / debuff duration is almost always longer than your rotation with only minimum upkeep required.
Your damage will be consistent acrossed multiple waves of enemies and you won't be interrupted.
And you don't have to worry about double swirl mechanics and enemy infusions.

1:46 What I do is replace Yelan with Xq on my Raiden Kuki Nahida Yelan team.
Xq damage reduction and small healing + Kuki healing is enough sustain.
Wish i had furina&baizhu. But neuv/kazu is so busted that i just threw in Zhongli+Childe(for hydro reso/NA+1) and did just fine 🤣
Okay I'm getting neuvillette instead of my queen chiori I love her but I already have very hit invested albedo and I didn't really liked her performance I wasn't a big fan of neuv so I skipped him but since few events I played with him he feels much better than I thought

You can actually breeze through that Dendro Spectres and Coppelia in the first half though you might need Furina and Baizhu with her instead of Kokomi and DMC/Collei
Why Furina?
- Well because her Salon Members DMG is good which makes Killing Dendro Spectres very easy to deal with
Why would her Salon Members DMG good? if you're pairing her with Nilou wouldn't EM be better?
- No, you don't need to build EM for her since she's buffed up with enough EM already to deal 20-30K upwards bloom DMG (Buffs: Both Nilou's passive boost Bloom DMG + her passive that gives free 100EM / Nahida 250 EM Share on her burst / Baizhu's A4 that boost Bloom DMG / +80EM due to Double Dendro in the party / if you have Nilou's BiS that's another massive EM buff to the team.
What's the role of Baizhu here?
- Provides massive heal that makes sure that you're always maxing out Furina's Fanfare stacks (further boosting Salon Members Hydro DMG) and keeps the teams health to 100% oh and his burst gives a 1 hit interruption resistance and if shield is broken it also heals, a huge help in fighting Coppelia.

my team consisting of furina, kazuha, xiangling and bennet killed coppelia. it took a few tries but it is not hard using a team without defense
Abyss Usage rates help me calculate what characters I should pull for to maximize their potential in abyss. For example, I would rather pull Neuvillette and get his R1 + C1 than risk it on Itto or Xiao which has more bad matchups in Abyss when the meta doesn’t favor them.
F2Ps don’t have the means to pull for every single 5-star character, so if they struggle to clear F12 with 4-star only given you have 8-slots they should strive to pull 5* characters that are resin efficient to farm for. I’m still farming marechausse troupe domain to min-max Neuv/Furina then strongboxing for emblem to strengthen my Raiden and Yelan. Then I can head over to sumeru domain and farm pieces for Nahida, Alhaitham, and Yae which are all great characters in Spiral Abyss.
So people don't give a chance to less popular characters so they become even more unpopular. Such a vicious circle that makes certain characters look worse than they are.
Chase the meta and you'll always be behind. Just pick who you like and try to share supports for more team variety. Baizhu has won me more abyss stars than Nahida.

I used her on the second side this time around as well. And my Candace is 71. :-) Was fun.
Nilou having lower usage rates is just proof people aren’t willing to try things out even if it results in a comfier and cheaper clear then the alternative.
Usage rates are a popularity and IQ test not a meta check.
Yae getting used so much over the likes of tao despite her not really shining on any part of this abyss c0r0 is just more proof in the pudding.

The fatui operatives on first half also have freeze resistance. They stay frozen for only like a second. They really hate Ayaka 🙄
Zhongli is also the best character to destroy the shield of the boss in floor 12.3.2 (+ one claymore user, like Navia)

This is not common Fatui Operatives. They are local legends with names.
Zhongli enables serpent spine for Navia which is a yuuuuuge damage boost
i like high dmg enemy but I hate when their attacks are literally on their hitbox so you can attack them, it´s stupid because abbyss is time based

Burning burgeon needs to be used in this abyss especially dehya nahida together
I was thinking hoyo hated pyro since they didn’t give them anything when dendro came out besides burgeon (which no one uses). That alongside with hydro becoming so broken thanks to furina and Nuevi. But cryo hasn’t gotten ANYTHING just 2 dps and 1 healer since shinhe, no meaningful buffs or characters that change the element as a whole.
