Hey TGS start of the video w/ XL C6 you forgot to mention her C6 doesn't benefit from the C6 as the pyronado snapshots. Only the startup hits & guoba benefit from the pyro%, the full pyronado won't. This means outside of monopyro this constellation is usually a very small 2% increase

Exactly, asif having C6 Amber is going to make anyone use her outside of lighting torches. If a Four star needs C6, they are not worth it to invest in.
There is too many four stars now for you to have a chance at getting any that high after years.

I opened this to hear about Freminet and I find it so funny that he just gets placed on it with no further words.
To be fair his constellations are just a pile of stats stacked on top of his base kit, crit rate, bonus atk after reactions, crit damage and skill upgrades, only his C2 gives him some ER.
Aloy is the only 4ish star that *NEEDS* constellations. 😂

I was abou to criticize you video because of Xiangling: while she is playable at any constellation (pretty much every 4 star is), her C4 is a must have for the teams she is well known for. It's not just a damage increase, it affects the rotation of the other characters.
Barbara's C6 got a huge buff recently, as it's affected by the abyss cooldown reset im between chambers and attempts, meaning you get a free revive for each attempt.
However, this only works if she's in the first half 😔
Regardless, it doesn't change her place in the tier list since it's just QoL that doesn't even come into play most of the time, and it gets less useful the more you invest into her since she gets better and better at preventing your characters from dying in the first place. But when it does occur, it's really nice.
I guess its very subjective difference,if u have good team and skills to atleast dodge and use skills & EB on cooldown then its impossible to die

C1 on Yanfei is absolutely a must because of stamina. Yanfei (even at c6) struggles with stamina but without the refund from c1 she can't charge attack as often and will lose the ability to sprint making her much worse versus multiple enemies and makes her feel awful to play
Exactly. It's not even better than C4, which is the one everyone looks for. No one needs a multiple scaling character. It doesn't work always. Either she hits or tanks, trying to do both things won't go anywhere, like Xinyan.

I just want to point out that Candace even before C6 feels really good in bloom, even at C0 I was doing fine honestly and C1 is a very good upgrade, I know that C6 is a huge upgrade and makes her more relevant in Nilou's meta but definitely not a must. I've tested Nilou bloom teams with Yaoyao on field btw. Nice video!
Yaoyao on field is my standard for Nilou teams, I have never really bothered to try anything else as the damage is so over the top already

I'd imagine Candace would be great for Xianyun plunge-vape teams (forward vape) if we could just get decent Xiangling alternatives. Having two Xiangling sidegrades may be enough for the forward vape Candace teams, but its simply Furina existence that makes Xianyun teams heavily rev-vape centric.

@@xanthee_imr Jump, or dash both work for Yaoyao's burst. Dash-spam might actually be the better option (especially if you're near an enemy that can block the dash) because jumping takes a little bit more time and is a little less spammable.
Heavily disagree on Kaeya. Yes, his C6 is great, but MANDATORY? Absolutely not. Been using him on Freeze teams since I got C2 and he's already great at that point.
Lisa`s C6 changes everything
lisas c6 is also the hardest c6 to get in the game, including 5 stars, so it is literally impossible for the change to be that drastic.

Lisa C6 absolutly change everything how you play Lisa, because it is give her a massive AoE nuke you can activate the same time you take on field with her. The best part is thet because of this you can just use Thundering Fury after you used her hold E and reduce the couldown so you can nuke in the next rotation as well makeing it a consistent playstyle.
Except 4 person co-op.

Her C6 may as well be imaginary at this point. They really ought to give the OG cast rate ups these days, especially since there are day one players who still don't have some of them (referring mostly to 5*) and still don't have a chance in hell of getting their C6 (referring mostly to 4*). Like, how many people really wanted Jean/Diluc/Keqing/Mona and still don't have one or more of them? How many people really want to C6 their Kaeya or Lisa but can't because it's just pure luck (and the odds get worse with every new 4*)?

Diona c6 200 EM imo works best in spread teams due to on-field dps scaling so much with EM where the cryo doesn’t affect quicken uptime due to not reacting with dendro and 20% aura tax if cryo is applied. She can also hold instructor and fav bow/elegy.
The problem would be just circle impact for alhaitham and her burst 20s CD not really aligning with tighnari shorter rotations so elegy bursting every other rotation is fine plus instructor can still be used.
The main point is that she is a shielder, healer, EM buffer and movement speed buffer to be in the place of zhongli, kuki and the three dendro defensive supports.
real PAIN is being a Noelle main with c1 Gorou and C6 Faruzan with 0 interest in ever playing Xiao or Scaramouche, RNG couldn't curse me more

For Xinyan, her c2 makes her shield pulse with Pyro, and I think this makes her a good option in the Burnmelt Ganyu teams with Nahida. Xinyan burst has the same cooldown as Bennett burst, so this is one of the few Melt Ganyu teams that has the shorter rotation of just over 15 seconds. It counts as skill damage still, so she can hold totm, and the extra pyro can help you keep burning alive if you accidentally drop it.
During Ayato's banner in 2023, I was pulling for kirara and kuki constellations. I ended up with a c8 xiangling and C1 kuki and Kirara. I didn't even use xiangling until I got Navia
Much appreciated I just got C1 Yaoyao from selector and planning on doing few pulls next banner for her C2, I just upgraded my Faruzan to C6 after getting Xianyun to main her so it’s huge win, I would argue that C4 Lynette is stopping point if you don’t have spare sac sword otherwise C2 is enough or consider mains her with C6 later.

Honestly i am so sick and tired of new 4stars having like 80% of their boost at c6. Thats just bad game design imo, every constellation should matter

With 4.4 QoL updates, Barbara's C6 is actually pretty relevant, as it refreshes for every chamber (and every retry) in the Abyss

Faruzan being handed out in the 3.6 event was a lifesaver, I got her to C5 on Wanderer's banner and she is SO much better at C6. More damage, more energy, can hold Tenacity, it's just massive lol.
Obviously the one who need Cons the most is Aloy........
Razor's main use is to get infused with a element (Bennett) and stack follow up elemental application and do a lot of reactions, because he has a weird burst.

Go ahead, most new characters have "elemental damage that cannot be overridden by another element" in their kit, so unless you're an Ayaka main, you're good
As a Dori main - Dori's C6 basically changes how you play her. It makes dendro-related teams possible, she heals WHOLE PARTY during NA. She's also becomes super fun in coop, since she's always on the field. The artifacts can change too. Like TF is best for aggravate, which is only possible with this constelation.
If we are talking pure support, then C4 is fine.

TGS you are the man. Dori C 6 is my dream, i see the potential, sadly she is always on banners i am skipping, even i got ganyu trying to get Dori C2. The first abyss full stars i got it was thanks to Dori. Until now she is C 4, when she arrive to C 6 i am going to do crazy Dori runs, i love the character, she is so fun to play.

I am surprised you didn't mention barbrah C2 at all(it gives 15% hydro dmg and CD reduction for her skill), and like other comments pointed out her C1 is pretty good for her so maybe there is an argument for her being in C1/C2 teir ?
For Dori, all her cons are REALLY good. With her C1 and C2 increasing her electro application, damage and energy generation. Her C4 increasing ER and her C6 allowing her to take advantage of her abnormally high normal attack multipliers.
I agree on the placement, but all her cons together just make her three times the character at C0...which is fitting for the character that wants all your money and so expects you to completely invest in her to get the most out of her.

For Ningguang at 13:57, I think "extra batterying" is inaccurate as she has an icd for particle generation. I remember a long time ago (version 1.x) I was trying to aim for that cons to battery my noelle but was so disappointed that it doesn't work that way. Unless... there's something I don't know about?
If you wait 6s between casts she generates the energy for the 2nd screen
You can get particles from both screens, just wait for 6s
Her ideal rotation is Skill > go through screen, normal attack (1-2 times), CA, burst, Jade screen, repeat
That way you get particles every screen
I got beidou c2 and xingqiu c3 or c4 and they feel much better to me than before. I got them on a hyperbloom team with cyno and nahida to experiment. Please dont come in and say 'eh this character is better for the lineup' because i feel comfortable with this team and love all these bubs to bits.
Now I am curious... are there any 5 stars that are dependent on constellations? Doesn't have to be on the level of Faruzan or something, but still.

Been playing for a couple of years and my Xiangling is still c3. Although I would have loved Gaming i chose Xiangling this Lantern Rite for her c4.
Where is talking about Barbara bloom? And about her stopping point being C2 for better uptime(6 seconds downtime)? She is strong enough to speedrun abyss.
it may sound cope but i actully like c6 barbara if you remember that u can use her in bloom. SInce her healing isnt that good, you may found urself dying sometimes
She’s a good on fielder in bloom! If you have nahida you can use her ability to apply dendro, and use Barbra to apply hydro to create lots of blooms. If you use sacrificial fragments, you will get em which make bloom stronger and it will help you get almost 100% uptime on her skill, so you won’t have to worry about dying as often!

Is your Barbara at lv 20 or something? My Barbara heals 950ish per normal with Favonius Codex, I'm pretty sure that's not "low healing" unless you have C6 Kokomi

I slowly upgraded Amber to C4 and I think Baron Bunny is just too clunky and unreliable for her constellation to be considered good. I’d put her in “nice upgrades”.
The AoE of Baron Bunny’s explosion is extremely small, so much that it often misses enemies attacking it in melee range. Baron Bunny also easily gets thrown around by enemies’ attacks.
Well yeah its not super amazing, but it's better than what she has at c0 for sure lol. At C0 she's the worst Carry in the game numbers wise
Video just started and I already disagree with one of them lol. Xiangling’s C4 is a good stopping point imo. The C6 is only good for Mono Pyro teams, which aren’t very popular outside of the Lyney ones.

I dunno about Diona I feel like her c6 is pretty huge, depending on the team. Yeah it doesn't do much in freeze teams but in hyperfridge and melt teams it can be pretty huge. It is the same thing as Kazuha c2 after all, which was a highly sought after constellation a while back. Obviously it's attached to a much more desirable character so you can't compare it 1 to 1.
I also don't really feel like Charlotte's c4 is that impactful, unless you're trying to build her for damage in a mono-cryo team or something. Mine is c1 and level 70 and she full heals my team instantly, even my chunkier ppl like Furina get from 50% to full heal. So her high ER reqs are not that much of a downside imo.
I use Diona in a Neuvillette freeze team at c0 for abyss. Though for me she's more there for her healing and very short shield, her freeze is rather handy too
I would be inclined to agree, the speedrunners are using Gaming with Diona+Rosaria since that's actually a non-scuffed Melt setup.
I think she was easily powercrept out of freeze as Morgana died and people realized you don't actually need that much defense versus frozen enemies + Layla and Charlotte coming for her job.

I have been wanting that for a long time now but all the pyro carries have always had too much application hehe, so naturally I want to jump on the melt train at the first chance.
Loved this vid, but Yaoyao is the definition of "nice upgrades." I don't see any way to call her C1/C2 "massive." She's a complete character at C0 and gets no significant benefit from any con. Yes C2 helps, but have you honestly ever found yourself waiting to use a Yaoyao burst?
i'm begging y'all to realize that faruzan is FINE without c6. yes it's an incredible upgrade, but this idea that she's unusable/useless without it is ridiculous and makes f2p users feel like shit
Woowww... finally someone who thinks, respect. Of course Faru doesn't need c6. This myth is ridiculous, just a meme that community repeats thoughtlessly. Not only she is fine support starting from c0 and easier to build to get good value than Yunjin or Thoma, but she is also good for more on-field role. It's viable starting from c1 and good starting from c4. Super fun and good character. Problem is - Xiao and Wanderer are not great... Well, Heizou also not amazing. So Faru doesn't have much opportunity to shine. THEY need her c6, because of how lackluster they are. While Faru objectively and in simple comparison bring more value than other niche supports, she is the BEST.
I don't know if TGS is so clueless or just scared of confused community. Although he is a Xiao fan, so I won't be surprised if he is putting the blame of his issues on Faru, that she is not a battery for him before c6. Just like Zy0x fanboy was hating on her, pathetic.

she doesn't need the c6 but if anything it almost feels like she needs her c4. and i'm not kidding i have experienced this especially since i tend to play wanderer from time to time. but ngl the c6 does feel different than a pre c6 Faru.
@@usmanya5110 She needs c4 - only for her on-field role, cause that's when this cons shine. For off-field role it adds almost nothing as long as you don't have c6. Cause only with c6 her c4 works off-field. She's different at c6, yup. Thing is - it's so GREAT. NOT that she needs it to provide good value. Overall she simply provides more than Gorou, Sara, Yunjin, stronger buffs plus crowd control and energy at c6. Plus useful in on-field role.
3 banners have passed with Faruzan on them (2 wanderer, 1 birb retainer), pulled on all 3 banners until 60 pity and I STILL don't have a C6 Faruzan LOL

Correct answer: None of them as the game is beatable without any constellation. People harp on them too much thinking they are a "requirement" when I was able to beat everything the game has on offer with a C0 Razor, faster then people with constellation'd five stars.
You do not need constellations. They are always just a nice bonus. This is a single player game where people seem to try to compete against spenders who can one shot bosses in seconds.
There is a reason the game should never have a leaderboard, because None of us will never be on it.
Edit: not to mention for new players, C6 is something that may never happen on any character. There is too many characters now.
Maybe it's not necessary, but it's definitely preferable if you want the 4 star to boost a unit you like. You're thinking about this pretty narrowly; it's not about winning, it's about having fun. While you could probably beat most of the content with a solo C0 Faruzan, that doesn't make it fun to do.
Disagree on Yanfei, C1, C4, and C6 indirectly buff her a lot
That extra seal and stamina reduction means 0 stamina charged attacks, which means you won't run out of stamina by spamming her charged attacks, which makes her much better as a main carry.
C4 too, it makes dodging less necessary, which means less interruption during her combos
Her cons aren't must-have, but they're not just "a nice upgrade" either. They don't buff her damage much on paper, but when you actually play her, you see how much difference that stamina bar makes to her damage
I personally wouldn't run non-C6 Mika without Furina on a non Fischl Phys team. Yelan would likely add more damage.
I would argue Lisa requires c6 for a off field dps, to be able to get full E dmg without any set up.

between rosaria and diona who's better for melt? how fast do their bursts apply cryo?
It depends if you're running an anemo unit to absorb cryo to help out Diona much lower and slower applications, assuming you have her C6 for the 200em boost and especially if you also happen to have elegy

With Gaming you might use both and eschew an Anemo unit for Bennett or vice versa. Diana's Cryo app on her own is ICD limited and slow.

Mika should be at the very top of this list. C0 he may aswell not exist, c6 he needs to do his buffing job better than Bennett

Quite frankly, this is not aimed at the video, but people recommending Xiangling to newer players need to state that only at C4 does she become more comfortable to play. I used to play her often while she's stuck on C2 and man, that burst goes away fast, making her ER requirements even higher because of less uptime. It feels abysmal to play her before C4.

The dream is c6 Faruzan but she keeps getting put on banners I can't pull on so my pain is immense and my disappointment is immeasurable. I want her for Xiao, but like now for example, even though I'd love her, Gaming and Cloud Retainer, I'm saving for Arlecchino so can't take the chance. Wish she was better at c0 or C1.
I definitely am trying for c6 Kaeya too, even if it'll probably take me another year and a half to get there, lol. I recently pulled him on standard and had the kind of reaction usually reserved for 5 stars.
As a Chevreuse lover, I have to say her C6 actually ISN'T that great, in that it's got a condition that's almost always overlooked when people talk about it. I think people hear "up to +60% electro/pyro dmg after skill", and don't go any further. The on-field character needs to be healed (even overhealed) 3 times by her skill.. which is a 6 second process! Only THEN do you have +60 pyro/electro dmg. So the conditions are very restrictive, and you have to plot your rotation VERY well to get the most out of it. If anything, after her C4( burst, then skill 3 times), the C6 is more easily beneficial to HER than anyone else if you want to play very simple rotation.
I'd say her C4 is awesome to add more sub-dps gameplay, but beyond that, C3 is great place to stop with her. And yes, C0 is great by itself cos you mainly want her 30sec atk buff which is just stack HP, hold E after overload.
That said.. She is the most fun I've had with a character since Kazuha. She's just damn fun to play!

I don't get how Heizou ends up in 'nice upgrades'.
Sara was so terribly designed that she almost needs her own category. She's not even a real character until you get her C2, then she turns into just a terrible version of Bennett until her C6 at which point she finally becomes somewhat not bad in very specific circumstances... She's just a mess.
I also think you were WAY too generous to Mika and Gorou since without their C6's they get outclassed in their supposed niche's which makes their C6 mandatory imo.
Gorou does not get outclassed in his niche??? At C0 he’s still by far and away the best mono geo enabler. The point for Mika would have been valid pre Furina but post Furina we live in a world where Mika is just a healer and has nothing to do with physical.
@@kale1287 If you're only taking about Mono Geo then sure, Gorou's Geo after all, but Bennett would be a much better buffer than him on that team. Heck, even when Gorou IS C6 he still barely outperforms Bennett on Def scaling teams.

idk fischl needs her c6. i hate playing on accounts without it and just refuse to use her. its an entirely different character.
idk man. the c6 is nice but not really necessary, i play her alot and i still haven't got c6 and she still is stronk and her A4 passive is also a contributor here.
I generally agree with Kuki's evaluation but I'm ngl sometimes that C6 is actually such a helpful clutch especially but i think its only for SKILL ISSUE players like me. Definitely not needed just nice

Xiangling's C6 doesnt apply to her own burst. If you're just playing her with Bennet, which is most common, her C6 is entirely worthless.
Xiangling should be a tier down in the C4 category.

But nobody is building pure heals bennett three years after the game came out, are they? Everyone’s Bennett does damage too, and XLs c6 buffs that. Crazy to me how people give input on things when they’re clueless, especially when resources like KQM exist.
@@Kota-sk8slHealer-build Bennett, while not only being easy to build, is also his best build on a C2 Furina teams, where you need to quickswap between characters and have them be healed a LOT, QUICKLY.

There are plenty of better healers if that's what you want) but a typical, off-field, healer/buffer/sub dps Bennett still does not gain anything from Xiangling C6 does he? He only benefits from it if he's used as a main on-field dps and that's pretty niche; he also _requires his own C6_ for that role.

Kaeya - I disagree with. His c6 is insane, yes - but it's not a must. I'd have put him one tier lower, or maybe in the 'great cons all around'. I'd compare his c6 to XQ's.

Sucrose - C1 makes CC much easier if you on-field her.
Barbara - I find the con that gives her energy passively is probably her best, but really not a must.
The main difference between xq c6 and kaeya c6 is that xq basically functions almost the same in all of his teams below c6, while Kaeya really needs his c6 to become a great melt enabler which is his best role I feel (+ the obvious dmg increase).
+ with the arrival of double hydro the extra enrrgy you get with xq is not that needed and the extra app is mostly useless
Xingyan burgeon is kinda bad cus her shield scale out of def and you need full em for burgeon dmg
And burgeon deal self dmg so her shield get deleted very fast.
Her shield isn't like Thoma where you can recreate them so yeah xingyan burgeon is forgetable

But a video where the focus is on f2p players who don't own these characters would be more helpful I think. You'd have to flip the tier list upside down, because characters who feel good without constellations have greater / more easily accessible value, whereas characters that "need" C6 should only be sought by people who truly love the characters
Edit: Chevreuse for example. If she is worth playing at C0, I'd have placed her on the green tier so people know whether its worth sniping a constellation or two.
Well I made the lower tiers the green ones for a reason ;) other than that, maybe the ranking itself doesn't fully depict it, but I think in my explanations I clarified which 4* need constellations to be good ( for chevy I spefically said shes rly good ar c0)

You can stop at C2 for Kuki, but getting that C6 is one of the best quality of life feature to have. So many times I have reseted Abyss due to Kuki dying.
You could of put prototype amber on nahida or play double hydro hyperbloom which can afford to on field kuki for awhile to heal.
My c2 kuki has never died in abyss
