September 2024: Legal Aid on WOVU - understand the corporate transparency act

For many years the federal government required only large corporations to report their Beneficial Ownership Information. With the passing of the Corporate Transparency Act this year, most businesses, no matter how large or small, must report their Beneficial Ownership Information. This information is then submitted to a federal agency called the Financial Crime Enforcement Network also known as FinCEN.
