In my former career i templated and installed over 3000 countertops projects over 9 years and i can verify that when cabinets are installed like this guy does, it makes the stone guys lives so much better. Beautiful work!

Hey man. I just installed a full kitchen of Lowes cabinets. Can say with 100% certainty your videos helped me do that.
Of course they installed the wrong granite, but the cabinets were level within 1/16" on a 10 foot run. Granite installer said was best DIY job hes seen (probably just blowing smoke up my rear).
I used EZ level system instead of shims. My floor was so bad. i also put a 1/2" plywood spacer/filler strip between each cabinet to sturdy it all up.

@@duanewilson3941it worked pretty good. Go easy when screwing them in. Pre drill highly recommended. Take your time and go slow. If you can do runs of cabinets (if you can). Like I mentioned in my original comment I put a filler strip in between any two cabinets. I ran screws through both sides to join them. I did this after everything was leveled. This gave everything a little more sturdiness for when the counters went in.
I always tell everyone I go to install for that they done the best Ive ever seen lol
These are timely as I’m doing my own kitchen this summer. I already know what I’m doing, but I’d be a fool to say that I’ve got nothing more that I can learn. I’m doing a floating floor after lower cabinet install, though. It would be double the materials and counters would be too high to put the floor in first. I’m excited to see how you’re mounting the upper cabs, though. So many companies just slap them onto the wall. 😬

How do you keep all the shims from sliding away over time? I saw you screw through one on side, but what about ones on face where have to cut flush and put toe kick plate over? 🤔

Weight of counter tops. If you were having an issue you could just squirt some silicone caulk under them and put them in. They they would be stuck in place once it dries.

1. Why didn’t they go for the extra inch with spacers around the oven? Seems like a pain to get into the corner cabinet and a spacer might help. I know my wife would like an extra inch 😂.
2. Did you give the customers a temporary countertop surface like plywood?
3. Is that rug at the end of the video something you brought to protect the floor? If so that is awesome to do for the customer.

Possible problem with no spacing at side of stove. If you use the cleaning mode on over, not having vented area to sides will fry the cabinet sides

is ita standard cost saving thing to not completely finish the flooring that goes under the cabinets.
Has nothing to do with cost savings. There is just no reason to go tight to the wall. You wont find a house with the hard wood going tight to the wall under cabinets.
What do you trim the floor shims with mine never seem to snap off nice and even and its hard to get under the toe kick to trim them
