You should always hand scrub before throwing it in washing machine…all my hats look new… Also… you can dry the hat in dryer, just set temp to very low or no heat at all..
All the cap washer I've see so far seem to be for flat brims. I haven't found one yet that will keep the curve in a curved brim. I wonder why they don't make them.

In the video you should add how to put a hat inside. It doesn't tell you how to open it and I can't open it and don't want to break it since it's plastic.
