Probably not a huge time saver for hats in not great shape, but for an already clean hat that just needs a little life brought back, this looks well suited.
The reality is you need to take a stiff brush first to get dust and debris off. Same for inner hat band. stiff brush. To get the brown and grease out.... Dawn and scrub brush. This is just a steamer. Do initial cleaning by hand then steam the hat.
You need to clean the hat first with new era hat cleaner and conditioner ant then put it on the machine, clean the cap inside and outside before put it in the machine you will see the difference
I just wanted to say that I am a new Big Fan of your channel. You have motivated me to list the 1000 hats I had on eBay again. I looked at this steamer about a year ago and decided it wasn't for me. I have a hat form and will continue to clean them by hand. It is also relaxing for me and I enjoy it. Keep the content coming.
I have one. It doesn’t clean very good. It shapes pretty good. The hats that are tougher to shape I use a hat block and a hand held steamer. It will melt snaps and get straps really hot that can burn your hand. Wrap a cloth around them and you’re good to go.
Sometimes I put a little extra padding in the front of the hat to help it with the shaping in the front. I wash dirty hats before putting them in the machine.
The price sure has gone up on this since I bought mine. I put a video out about it a year ago. I find it is good for refreshing your hats but does not clean them very well, just sweat stains.
There is no solution for cleaning on the machine. You need to put whatever cleaner on the stained areas and leave it on….then place it in the machine and run the cycle
Hello, Thank you for the videos. Can you do a video on snap replacement? I have several hats that the snaps failed and they are worth good money if the snaps are replaced.
Bought one and really like it for bringing older hats back to life. For cleaning stains need to scrub before but really presses shape nicely.

I concur. Thanks for watching!

Looks like if you went through as many hats as you do it would be great for reshaping but not so good to clean.
Yea will probably use it on the better hats that have a better chance of increasing the value.

You definitely have to put cleaner on the hat. It’s not a cleaner just with the unit.
Glad I found your channel! We’re over here in Bixby.
I wash similar to your normal procedure but I use a balloon inside the hat to shape wile drying
Balloons work too. Just dont know about 100 blown up balloons in my garage 🤣

Awesome to hear!
Received my hat today, very nice, thanks again !
Awesome glad you like it!
I think is best to clean it first by hand and after that use the steam cleaner to give it back its schape
recomend this product? my idea is.... wash my caps in the washing machine and after restore the shape with this product. are u think it works?
I think that will be a good strategy

Yea that was pretty much my thoughts too.
You have to put a cleaning solution on the hat and then place it in to be cleaned. There is no cleaning solution on the machine.

Great tip!
What do you use for padding?
@@Kyle2516 Usually something like a washcloth or cleaning cloth
So I’m thinking throw my hat in the washing machine and then trying this to reshape it after🥴🥴🥴
This is the way!
Thats actually not too bad for business and/or personal use.
Yea I will probably just be selective on the hats I use it on.

Can't clean anything without agitation.
Yep. Don't know if you have seen my hat washing video, but I am going to combine these two methods and see if we can bring some beaters back to life.
I haven’t had much luck with mine.
It is hit and miss. Think it works better on the patagonia style over the ones like new era.

The least fun thing to do when selling hats. I do have a few I need to do.
do you have a size 8 new era hat to see if it fits?
I will give it a try
Does it take out sweat smell?
No
Ok for shaping, But not cleaning hats. Cleaning hats by hand or in the sink is better.
This can work well if you are doing a few hats.
806 SUBS ....bro HOLY SHITAKE ..... wow DIDNT U HAVE LIKE 49 SUBS A CPL WEEKS AGO .....
Lol, the algorithm gods have been in my favor.
Nice Walmart cutter! Lol😅
nope ..ill pass on that
Lol I had to try it out. It shaped them better than I thought it would but no good on cleaning.
