Very nice indeed. I used to run a salvage yard and we would build many of our own much needed equipment such as you have shown here. This was long before the internet, He He. At least we had the material readily available for whatever we had to build or repair...

Gas welding seems to be a dying art. Glad there are people like you keeping it alive and well. I taught my grandson how to do it and them when he took welding classes he took to tigging because like he said "It;s almost the same as gas welding".

Excellent job at repurposing an item most people would of disposed of just because the tank was at the end of its life. And what you can do with basic hand tools is amazing. Hell, I can't even braze !!!!. If I can offer some advice, please attach a pressure gauge to the tank, as over pressurisation could be fatal. 👍👍Greeting from Woomera, South Australia.

People with no knowledge of how dangerous a sandblaster can be let alone pressure vessels should not attempt anything like this its a quick way to get yourself injured or worse just buy one and lessen the risk this is far from safe yes it will work but when it fails not if but when it wont be worth the money he saved

bondo does not prevent metal canisters from exploding.
That nozzle setup would maybe last until you run out of sand.

Seriously, are you using a brass nozzle for sandblasting? Please use tungsten or ceramic nozzle as the brass can be torn apart and the shrapnel is very dangerous to you. Also, the hose is totally inadequate, coursing a blow out at any moment. Please remember that sandblasting is very dangerous work and people have had serious injuries. I would not trust your blast container either. A botched job with copper and brass connection, they should be steel. I should know that, as I was a blaster for years in dockyards and blast cabins.

If you have to put filler on the tank to hide the pitting from corrosion before paint then the tank is not suitable for being under pressure

Good work. Be careful with the grit you use. Sand can cause deadly lung problems such as Silicosis which is not curable.
