Very cool project. The fact that you tell the size of your tubing give a good idea for all the rest of the part. I'm not sure if it is really cheaper then buy a all ready made but for making the project really like it. :-)

Good video, the only thing is if you do any welding on a pressure vessel like this then it has to be pressure tested again and be able to hold at least double the working pressure without failing to be able to be certified safe for use as the heat from welding changes the properties of the material the tank is made of
Nice build just what I was looking for. Be sure to wear a dust mask, the industry moved away from using beach sand due to silicosis. Similar to asbestosis from inhaling asbestose dust.

Please don’t use ordinary sand , you run the risk of getting silicosis. Use the right blasting media and use a hood or blast cabinet. Top job though very well made👍
He'll probably be killed by the old tank exploding long before silicosis gets him.
Sometimes you need an outdor/model unit. Plenty of people would like to blast things that won't fit in a booth. Like car resto people.

Лучше не использовать песок, замените его купершлаком. Песок при ударе о поверхность разлетается в пыль, из лёгких не так-то просто убрать, можно силикоз заработать. Да и для окружающих эта пыль песочная вредна, радиус вредного действия до 200 м.
Подскажи тройники случайно не пластиковые? у меня лежат такие еще салдэповские боюсь ставить.мне кажется их давлением разорвет.

can you make a 1,000 gallon tank as a sandblasting tank?..I mean as large as the 2 storey building..
I don't get your compressor: should be 11.9 cfm @ a certain pressure.

I use a 3 HP piston compressor and it is very adequate with a sand blasting tube like this

Built my first one out of water fire extincter make sure you put a pop of valve on it buddy or it will blow up
Why? Propane tanks are designed for 300 psi plus pressures. The average air compressor struggles to exceed 120 psi. I’d be more concerned with the dust production in an open air blasting operation.

@@RNN014 Primarily to drive out any moisture in the sand and prevent the damp sand from clogging components.

@8:31 it shows 90 psi. @8:39 his tank says its a 26 gallon tank with displacement of 335 L/min. 11.9/sfm.
